We finally opened our Four Roses LE and sampled it a couple nights ago. The flavors are unbelievable and the mouthfeel is something else. It's just so decadent. We did not expect it to be such a pleasure. We fully anticipated that it wouldn't be worth the $160 we paid for it. We were totally wrong. Great list, Jason! Cheers!

Awesome top ten Jason! Didn`t get to try any of these, but given the chance I`d buy the Remus V as the philosophy of offering top quality for an affordable appeals in these days of soaring prices, well that and the fact I`m really cheap :)

Nice to see turkey and 4 roses get the love they deserve! Both have great bottles that just sit on shelves, but, that’s ok, just more for me!
The RR13 had grown on me a little bit each pour but the RR store pick single barrel I had knocked the socks off it!

Four Rose's for the win baby! Love it!
I was at Chattanooga Distillery last weekend. Very impressed! Their Cask 111 was outstanding, as well as a limited release they call 160.
Love the 111. Bought a bottle when I was in Tennessee this fall and now I’m sad because I can’t get another bottle living in Utah
I picked one up in Indiana
Was there a couple of days before Christmas and picked up a special discovery series bottle. Really good.
Wasn't Cask 111 actually sourced MGP? I could be wrong on that though.
@@James.Buchanan I don't think so have one definitely has the distilled, aged, and bottle statement on it at their distillery. Probably had it for a year or so.

Great list. I was lucky enough to pick up the Sam Houston KY-01 and the Remus 5. Both are excellent bourbons. I'll have to try and track down some of the others.

Awesome list Jason and thank you for posting your reviews. I was fortunate to get two coy hills through trade. I wasn’t floored but I did enjoy. Curious to do a blind against the reg JDSBBP. Keeping an eye out for the 4R smble . Hasn’t hit in NY yet I think

A great list Jason, it wasn't overcrowded with MGP like a lot of other top 10 have been so far for last year. I am surprised not to see MM FAE on your list. I was glad to see 4R make #1, I wish I could find it at MSRP. The only time I have found it was for 500 bucks. In fact I think the only one on your list I have found was the Bardstown 6, and I was underwhelmed. Cheers 🍻
Only have 1 of those, but hopefully for another 1-2. Definitely have to stop sleeping on a couple next year. No way I'm getting any of the real hitters any year soon.

Great list! FR LE was going for $400 around me so I passed. Did score a BN17 112.7 proof at retail! It’s the highest proof I’ve seen for it 🤯
I was lucky enough to snag all but 2 on your list. Even though 2020 was overall a better release year, 2021 definitly still had some pheonominal stuff.

Jason, as the numbers ticked down to the final winner I kept saying "damn, I haven't even SEEN that one." So imagine my surprise when I saw my old flame 4R LE SmB at the top of the heap. I don't know why but for some strange
reason I've always been able to find these ever since 2013. And the 2021 is extra special for me because I actually won it in their lottery and got the chance to pick it up at the distillery, which also was my first trip to the Promised Land. I struck out on any other special releases - thanks Covid and HH strike! - and wasn't even able to tour Four Roses. But I did manage to meet a living legend, Mr. Jimmy Russell himself, when I popped into the WT Visitor Center on the same day. So this 4R bottle - even though Jimmy didn't make it - will always be extra special for me! And you're right - it is a corker. Thanks for recognizing its greatness!
Last week I scored a Blanton's at my local Safeway store but this week I blew that out of the water... I just walked out with a WLW....build that relationship with your local store mgr.... thanks to your advice...
Well, I managed to grab a bottle of the BBB 6 and the Remus V out of that bunch, but great list!
They ARE MGP 100% with you, the ross and squib name is stupid. Great list, I never had any of these! Damn! It is really good to know they are keeping up the quality with the JM cigarblend. I had a Laws 4 grain single barrel that blew me away, that was 100% my Bourbon of the year. Again fantastic list Jason.
RR13 took #1 for me!! Best tasting bottle I’ve ever owned. Kills Pappy for me

Number one floored me. Not because it's not a number one bourbon, but with that KoK sitting off to your left in the video I thought you were giving us a hint. Instead, it was pure misdirection. Jason, this was a solid top 10. IMHO you and Fred, along with those magnificent bastards at Whiskey Tribe have the best palates around.
Honestly KOK probably was my favorite of 2021 but given its only available in 3 states and super limited I couldn't put it on the list.Appreciate the kind words Erik!
The real shocker is I continue to watch these "Top xxx Lists" knowing I'll never be able to find these without having disposable Patreon income. You 'Tubers are sadists! 🤘🥃
Me and some buddies just opened a Coy Hill and it definitely exceeded expectations. All these top bourbons of the year videos make me want to open my Russel’s 13 that has been collecting dust since June….

I would have them in a different order and a few swaps but a solid list JC.
Well I think I got 4 of those this year, but not the same batch of the SH15. I thought the GA batch of it that I got was good but somewhat underwhelming. I never got the Coy Hill but I've had 144 proof JD SBBP before and its a hitter that is amazing. I really wanted the RR13 but I'll settle for the SB picks.

I've only seen 2 on your list, Remus V which I grabbed 3 bottles at (drum roll please) $67 with my military and cash discount 😎 . I also spotted a Russell's 13 once but was too new to Bourbons and didn't realize what i had and didn't pull the trigger 😬. Ice list wish I had the $$$ for more of them to try.
I can't afford most of these but it's still fun to see what other bourbon fans are drinking.
Scored Remus 5 and Coy Hill for retail. Both are absolutely amazing at their respective proof points. Tried RR13 and it was also epic. Sam Houston Nevada batch was pretty good but idk about $130 good.
$300 for the coy hill at a store 4.5 hours north of Houston

Curious to see if the decline in quality american whiskies from the major players will continue as demand grows. Hoping more craft options fill the gap the chatty bib was a good example! If you can get their sib picks theyre wonderful around 5 yrs at cask strength at maybe 60 bucks.
Only one I’ve been able to get my hands on has been Remus 5. Sam Huston is available but I decided on Calumet 15 which is ok to me. Remus 5 would have beat it anyway.
Very esoteric list, not for the ordinary person. I live in a big metropolitan area with several large stores and maybe one out of those 10 is available in my area. Now you need to do a top 10 AVAILABLE list for the average person.
I have the 10 yr blue note barrel proof Texas edition 124.6 proof that I purchased in Nov. 2020. I sure wished I turned back around and purchased 2 more because it was my best bourbon of the year. If I drink the B520 behind it it’s a.disappointing pour. It sips way easier than it’s proof.
I know you mentioned it with the SH 15 and on some previous review videos that you really enjoy a butterscotch note on your bourbons.
Do you have any examples of easy to get “butterscotch bombs” or something where that note is at the forefront?
Interesting to see Sam Houston 15 on so many top 10 lists. I think my 1792 12 year is much more complex than my Sam Houston 15.
Jason, great list but hard to get excited about it because the average person can't get most of them.
Four Roses LE seems to either be a home run or a complete miss for people. I'm super excited to have won a bottle as I've become a big four roses fan the last couple years.

Great video but as a New Yorker in the lower Hudson Valley I can tell you these are nowhere to be found. Chattanooga, Blue Note, Four Roses, Magnus and Four Gate. So those are disappointing to me I have to hope to try them. Not even secondary but jacked up liquor stores prices this is what these go for in my local. Russell’s 13 $699.99 Coy Hill $799.99. If anyone thinks I’m making it up search for Consumers Discount Wine in Middletown NY. I have seen the Remus and Sam Houston but can’t remember what they go for. Love the channel and the whiskey (not just bourbon) reviews. Cheers 🥃

Didn’t even see this unicorn with my own eyes anywhere in L.A. Only saw it listed on our best bottle shop’s “Coming Soon” page on their website. I hope I’m wrong about 2022.
How do the Spring and Fall Chatt BIBs compare? I have the Fall and it’s great but never had a chance to taste the Spring.
The Spring is a fruit bomb...the Fall is an amped up 111.
JASON! How did that KofK not break in at all? I loved the list. Everything on there alluded me except the Sam15 and sadly the Darth Vader, which I both passed on. I was able to snag a 2nd Remus V yesterday. I happened to be in Louisville earlier in the year and bought my very 1st 4 Gate. Damn Skippy! I bought the last Kelvin 3. So, disappointing as some of the season was, I did ok on a few others that didn't make your list. Happy New Year and new hunt in 22!
KoK probably is my favorite of the year bu because of how rare it is I couldnt add it. It sos damn hard to get. Its even more limited than BTAC.

Love Chattanooga bourbons. Wish I could get them in VA, but I pick them up when traveling. I fear they will go the way of Eagle Rare and become hard to find.
Great list. Can’t believe ima say this but my Makers Private Select can’t be beat in my collection and I got Allocated hard to find stuff and that super long finish with flavors exploding did it for me.

I am super surprised that 4 Roses LE won it all. Your review seemed a little ho hum, like you liked it and thought it was better than 2020, based on the reaction, I thought maybe top 5, but not #1. But I guess you had more time with it.
I have to give #1 to Coy Hill. I tried WLW 2021 twice at a bar, and while it was not as good as 2020, it would have been my #1. I just didn’t get a bottle of it.
I like the list. Somewhat surprising, but I have had all but the Chat BiB and they are all deserving.
First Top 10 List I've encountered which doesn't have a single bourbon available in my state (Oregon). In fact six of these distilleries aren't even listed for OLCC stores.
Were you able to sample the Sam Houston 15 OH-1 ? If so, how did it compare to KY-1 ?

I should have known that the Barrel Seagrass front and center meant it didn’t make the list! I saw it on enough lists though that I finally got a bottle and I’m drinking it right now and it is damn delicious… I’ve seen the Remus V a couple of places and I hope I can pick up a bottle this weekend!

I didn't get most of the ones on your list, but judging from your "Only Five Whiskeys You Need" list (with which I totally agreed), I totally trust your palate.
He said few videos ago that King of Kentucky BTAC and pappys don't go in the top 10. It would be unfair haha
