Not gonna lie Jollz, this story really inspired me. As a current mechanical engineer major trying to spare as much free time to playing Valorant and getting better when they’re not busy with extracurricular or fitness commitments, I found your story of how you experienced all that cool stuff with NASA and still ended up with a streaming career of your desire oddly comforting.

I've gotta say, while the "NASA software engineer" title is impressive, it's not nearly as impressive as your approach to work and life. Mate, you're a great role model. Never stop.

How much did you have saved before you took the leap and quit a solid career path? What made you confident in the ability to make this a successful business and what, if any, was your back up plan? It still bugs me to this day, but after spending time strengthening my hands and arms, I can play music and pursue mechanics. Hearing someone else overcome their pain and be able to thrive puts a giant grin on my face. World domination, coming up!

Inspiring story. Ngl I didn't think I'd watch the whole thing. I've been following you for a while, you are definitely one of the few good content creators out there. Your story is so similar to mine, minus me being capable of hitting radiant or any high tier, I've always bummed around in mid-high tier, but never quite made it big. I appreciate what you've built and definitely take inspiration. I've had the same dream of being a content creator or going pro but those dreams are slowly dying. Now, 33, just doing the 7-5 job of public service I wish I took the time and years I put into gaming to better use. I luckily hit ascendant last act, starting from platinum in act 1, and really wished I had more time to play because I felt like I could keep climbing. Regardless, thank you again. You'd find me hard pressed to leave a long comment like this on any video, but this one in particular hit a chord with me. I'd appreciate coaching sometime or collaboration, or just someone to make content with, you're right about the streaming to zero viewers for hours and the pain/expectation there was back then. Nowadays, I dont even stream anymore, too hard to build a following, and trying to get radiant and give free coaching to build a base would be fantastic if I could. Sucks that not everyone can do what they love, but im glad you can. Keep doing you, your work is appreciated, even if its from a nobody like me saying it.

Fellow boomer here (27 y/o) and my first console was a Sega and then I also got a PS2 for Christmas when it first came out and BRO TALK ABOUT A GOATED CONSOLE. So many iconic games and amazing memories from playing PS2 games. Love the vids man keep up the good work 🤙🏻
Edit: I posted this comment before you talked about your gamertag story and then you talked about starting WoW and man it's weird how we had almost the same come up with video games lol. I started WoW at the end of BC and grinded Wrath so hard my parents were genuinely concerned about my mental health and social life 😂

I am in a similar position in life, and your coaching videos have been super helpful to me chasing that radiant carrot on a stick so that I am able to be a decent content creator, can't wait to see you blow up. Also get a nadeshot collab.

This is an awesome milestone! The dream to drop a engineering job and pursue passion is not something everyone is granted to have. So happy to see it go so well for you! You definitely put in the effort and deserves it as well. Keep it up, you'll only grow further from here!

Being a guy that started a gaming organization when i was in college with my friends who had played semi pro CSGO and COD your story hits close man. we started project NEO as an org by gamers for gamers to give people a platform to spring off of... most of us dispersed after a few years but not before taking down a titan in a pro-am R6 tournament with our highschool comp team! (TSM was shook) and making some headlines at LAN's and getting a few of our players into the big leagues where they had the reasources we lacked at the bottom level... Sorawiz is one of the founders and continues to stream to a decent crowd and is on his way to being notable... its the little things that we can do with games to make an effect that people always look over keep up the great content man!

Your story is very inspirational. I have dreams of doing so much stuff like opening up a cafe, start an esports org, stream, photography, but I had to give up all this because I had no money to fund my dreams. I really needed to buckle down and work on a successful career so I did Computer science at a small university and I worked my ass off for 2-3 years to get out of college to get a well paying job to fund all my aspirations. While I never got a job offer to a large company like NASA, and what I have works but also makes me think it's also possible to work at a big company as long as you have the charisma, are able to impress the interviewer, and you can present your knowledege. Your background, where you study, means nothing.

I love how you never gave up on your dream of content creation. I, myself am in the same boat. I'm now 22 but ever since I discovered RUclips as a kid, deep down inside the passion of becoming a content creator was always my true goal. Like you, I started up, failed, restarted, failed, and disappeared. I have 7k on tiktok, and 500 subscribers here on RUclips. Similar to your goals, I want to hit radiant first as I believe rank shows a lot of creditability and respect in terms of being a Valorant content creator. I'm grinding for that, and your story showed hope that despite chasing your dream and failing, if it meant for you then it will happen. I leave this comment to look back on the future when I finally make it happen. Thanks Jollz, and keep up the good vibes.

I’ve had 2 friends work for NASA and neither recommended it to me. No wonder jollz left😂 it just sounds cool to work there but it’s not really fun or fulfilling to most people
