Note: this is my first time to do this style and it's heavily inspired by nohluhn, so it might not look the best..

its because tiktok kids didnt experience the early 2000's and think it was super epic and rad when in reality, frutiger metro is the ugliest trend to see the light of day but its being glamorized by tiktok edits cus its easy as fuck to make and takes no actual creative thought

The worst, most ceatively bereft art style to come out of the 2000s. The chosen art style of government-funded inoffensive "graffiti" in like 2007. It just looks like filling space between things in a schoolbook, but it's the whole page.
You've emulated it quite well, but you've put the wrong music to it. It's supposed to be jangly "indie rock" like Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party or The Hives

@@meursault7030 well, i'm in my early 20's, and this aesthetic reminds me a lot of the video games, anime, and music videos i watched growing up, so my associations with it are very different. at the time, i was honestly disgusted by it, but now i find it deeply comforting and nostalgic. maybe you witnessed the evolution of this sort of design from a different perspective.
