My entire horror collection! So pop that tape in, I got you, let's go do this... oh, and I realize 28days later isnt found footage, I meant handheld cameras! Enjoy!
Thanks again for mentioning Donnie Darko. I watched your review of it. I explained what it's about. BTW I rented it today on TV and it cuts out certain scenes and takes out a few of Franks voice-overs, which is REALLY annoying. Even on other channels they did this. I need to buy this one, it's always been a favorite and I don't like the weird editing they did for TV versions. A few other key points: When Donnie saves the girlfriend by going back and letting the jet engine smash him, he's actually saving his mom and sister too because they never got on the plane since the alternate universe never happened (because Donnie went back and let the engine smash him after all). And Jim Cunningham never was caught either, which is the bad part, he was only caught because Donnie escaped the jet engine...but since Donnie goes back it causes it to never happen. Basically the entire movie, after the initial jet engine crash, it's all an alternate universe and we're just watching it. Kinda cool. Everything after Donnie gives himself back to the bed and gets smashed, that too is the real world just like the very beginning. I left another comment in here about what this movie is all about. I hope it helps make sense of it. OH, and if you notice on your dvd case, Donnie is carrying the girlfriend. Like I said in my explanation, the whole point of the movie is about Donnie saving the girlfriend. So that case cover is a reflection of that.
I want you to know just found your channel, im a kiwi physical media collector from New Zealand. I just checked out trick r treat on your word.. WOW what an underrated ill say it.. CLASSIC!! way better than could of expected so clever. Thanks bro
Thank you!! Yes I am!! I am going to do some "palette cleanser" lists, a November Watchlist, etc over the couple weeks following Halloween and then move into Christmas focused content!! Hopefully everyone will enjoy it!
Chase, have you ever seen A Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia. It's playing on AMC right now. I've never seen it but I like it. Chad Michael Murray is in it. It's set in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The movie focuses on a house that was a former Underground Railroad home. I used to volunteer at an Underground Railroad home the same year this movie came out in 2013. 😅
hey thanks man! I mostly use the Sony 800xm region free 4k player and watch on my bravia QLED or my vizo budget QLED...still got to get an OLED!! I just did a little look at my full current set up if you are interested! ruclips.net/video/qebvapwvSjo/видео.html
Thanks man! This video WORE ME OUT! lol.... I also realized my son had my "Fright Night" 4k in his room along with Five Nights at Freddy's, and a few others after I did the video so, I think I am missing a handful on here but this is 99.9% of them!
yeah, I felt compelled to get that one...having worked with Bill and talking to Caroline Williams a lot, that is actually my favorite TCM movie and I love that artwork!! I am a SUCKER for that artwork lol
I love that you mention Donnie Darko, I'll have to find your review of it. It wasn't as popular here in the U.S. because it came out around 9/11. Ironically the movie centers around an airplane!!! ✈️ It has a bigger following in England. It's one of my favorite movies!
Thats funny too because I was like ok I am forgetting a Halloween movie.....and was like OHHHH Donnie Darko! YESSS. Im watching it this week. I love it personally, as I saw it opening weekend and the directors cut in theaters here (which I hated so much because they just dumbed it all down and changed all the music).
@@redmist78 YES! They changed the music which is so annoying. And it IS a Halloween movie!!! 😄 There are several little scenes that are altered, like when Donnie is watching Jim on the teacher's TV (Mrs. Farmer) and when Donnie is looking at Jim on the screen there's supposed to be the voice-over where Frank says "pay close attention, you might miss something," but they take it out. And when they're at the Halloween party they play different music too. There are several small bits like this that really annoy me. I'm used to the original version. 🔔 Correction: "pay close attention, you could miss something" is the line that Frank says, rather than "might" miss something. It's one of my favorite lines in the movie because it reminds me of clairvoyance.
@@redmist78 Have you ever seen the extra features where that redhead guy drives around in his car and talks about the movie and then he goes to a convention and tries to interview the actors and the director!! It's SO Hilarious 🤣
2 mins in and I already agree with you on the first two movies. I have to agree with you on that they should have ended it with "Devil's Rejects." That one was my favorite one of his and the only other one that I enjoyed was "House of 1,000 Corpses." By ending it with "Devil's Rejects," it would have been one of the coolest endings in a horror movie ever. Going out in style with "Free Bird" is iconic. It would have went down with "Reservoir Dogs," "True Romance," "Shawshank," "Rocky," "Psycho, "The Sixth Sense," and a handful others but, they ruined it with a sequel!
The point of Donnie Darko is he is saving his girlfriend. Donnie goes back to his bed because he can see the jet engine is coming back, so he gives up his life to save his girlfriend. Donnie only met his girlfriend in the alternate universe, and since she was hit by the car which Frank the Bunnie was driving, Donnie knows he needs to let the jet engine smash him so none of this ever happens. Donnie went through a fluke! What happened was a fluke in time! So he's stopping it! He knows that he has to let the jet engine hit him so this won't happen. AND the girlfriend is ALIVE at the end, so he SAVED her. It's very similar to having Deja Vu or a near death experience, but in this case Donnie had accidentally gone through time BECAUSE he was sleepwalking when the jet engine crashed on his bed (which is where he was supposed to be). So Frank the Bunnie immediately started addressing him, Frank is who would hit the girlfriend. It was all a matter of time, like the Bunnie said. The point of the story is Donnie saves his girlfriend because he knows she will not survive in the alternate universe that Donnie managed to get into due to a fluke; this way she is never with Donnie at all because they will never meet.
AVA I need to rewatch Death Ship at some point I really enjoyed it when I watched it on AMC a number of years ago. Scream Factory released the film on Blu-Ray a few years ago I would definitely pick it up when you're not on a buying freeze anymore. It's definitely a Blu-Ray I plan on buying next year as I've been wanting to rewatch it for years as I think critics were so mean towards it as I think it's pretty scary just like you do. So uh yeah I just wanted to tell ya it got a Blu-Ray from Scream Factory years ago as I'm sure it has been on your list for years to buy.
Now, we will finally see what all you have that I also own in this particular film genre. I will admit I don't have much of anything from the 70s like you, but I probably have a few you don't have. Chase, you're really going to get me to make my own video covering my own collection.
You have a good few horror movie's that i also have in my collection and i like how Arrow video releases have the original Poster art work with the Blu-Ray as i switched a couple of inlay covers around.
it was very much shot like them with mostly handheld digital cameras like the Canon XL1 so they could run around guerilla style and film a lot of stuff...

Cheers from the states! Those are two of my favorites too.
Great collection of horror movies. I had fun with this. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! this one was fun to do but WORE ME OUT lol!!!!
Great set gosh those Blockbuster box sets are so nice I might pick up a couple myself for some of my movies I own on Blu-Ray, and 4K.
They really do look nice and the price isn't as bad as you think.

Glad to help you chill out!
I am so looking forward to this! Almost 2 hours long, damn dude!
It is a long one!! I had a lot of horror to show off!! lol .... I had no voice at the end hahaha

"Disturbia"- not even "kinda" like a remake, it's 100% a remake of "Rear Window".
Shia is very memorable in that. His persona jumps through the screen, IMO. He feels like someone I've met before.
