  • Hi everyone!
Welcome to Episode 130 of the Golf Show!
We like to think Paul knows a bit about Golf shoes. After all he has reviewed numerous pairs already on the Golf Show.
In this episode he tells us how 3 of the best selling shoes of 2022/23; the FootJoy Hyperflex Carbon, the Adidas Code Chaos 22 and the Puma GS-Fast have performed after 20 rounds of golf.
Knowing what he knows now, would Paul still buy any of these shoes?

Glad I came across this video , was going to buy the footjoys but definitely want be now , I clean my shoes after every round as love clean shoes so would hate the FJ’s going that off white yellow colour ..! Think I’ll go with the Nike Tours (Rory’s) or the FL pro SL carbon

Awesome job, Paul! I love the look of white golf shoes but they just don't stand up to a UK autumn/winter. I've added a pair of black and a pair of grey ECCO to my white ECCO and I just can't fault them. Keep an eye out for last year's model and there are good deals to be had. I can't justify £180 for shoes 👍👍👍

I've gone through so many golf shoes in the last 3 years. Got fed up and bought Ecco Biom G3 Goretex. Have done me exactly 11 months, but last week, it was horrid with rain, and my feet were soaked, so clearly the GoreTex isn't even close to the GT on my Salomon hillwalking shoes. I've had those for 3 years, and they still don't let water in. Ecco aren't interested in warranty repairs unless you've followed their care guide. So it's back to the old ProSL shoes for now, while I try and figure out what to wear for the rest of the season. Funnily enough, my ProSL are more comfy than the Ecco, as now I can feel the cleats under my feet in the Ecco shoes. In the UK, you're lucky to get a season out of shoes. Absolutely designed to fail quickly, so you're back buying more often.

Hi there. I sawed a Pro Sl in half in Episode 16, not sure if you saw that one.
I found Pro SLs expensive and the grip on the heel wore away quickly.
I’m currently mid-review of the GFore Gallivanters. So far so good. The episode will drop next week 👍🏼

Just got some Ecco biom C4. Really comfy and gortex lined so waterproof. They are spikeless so kept my black footjoy tour alpha when it’s more autumn/winter golf.

I got Ecco Biom H4 - 179 pounds , the off white colour . Comfy, yes all day , durability so poor after maybe 6 rounds they literally looked 2 - 3 years old . Scuffed up real bad . Save your money stay with Adidas or FJ

Great content - the one thing i noticed with addidas is they wear away quite quickly on the inner heel, more than any other brand I've worn.

Hi Neil. Thanks for taking the time to comment, I agree, it’s a shame as I like their shoes.

@Golf Show yes I find their shoes to be the most comfortable, particularly with the boost tech and now they've further developed that. I think they're more comfortable than Footjoys. The best FJs I had were the 'freestyle' line about 8yrs or so ago.

Adidas Codechaos 22 I bought 2 months ago are already worn through. Worst shoe I have ever owned, I have contacted Adidas customer service to see if I can get a refund. Terrible inner lining in my opinion and I would not recommend the brand until they improve

Code chaos gave me blisters on the Achilles and the fabric has worn right through. Gutted because they look great.

I bought a pair of Nike air max 90 golf shoes last year and had them about five months when I noticed two holes where the toes flexed one either side of the shoe and when I looked at the other shoe it also had two holes in the same place so manged to return them under the one year warranty I then purchased a pair of Puma Gs fast which I thought were the comfiest golf shoes I have owned but four months in and the stitching on two of the loops where the laces go through had snapped and the seem was opening up so also managed to return those so now I have a pair of Nike air Jordan one low golf shoes and wore them today for the first time and the sole must be the thinnest of any golf shoe they look nice but I would not want to wear them for eighteen holes so it looks like I will have to look for another pair.

    • @GolfShow

Hi Gordon. I feel your pain with that. I can’t wear Nike as they are too narrow. I think, after years of wearing trainer style shoes I’m going back to a hard toe shoe like a FJ Tradition.

Most shoes only have a 1 year warranty on the water proofing…the industry wants us to buy new shoes each year/season…. My under armour shoes upper part started ripping and no longer are water proof exactly a year after purchase. The synthetic material they use on the upper eventually give out/rip/tear over time.

What great reviews!!! ECCO's are expensive but I had my pair for over 10 years and now the inside heel material is starting to break down. You expect shoes to look good after wearing them.

Hi that's why I won't pay a lot for golf shoes... I would rather shop around and get a pair for around £30-35 then after around a year to eighteen months and hundred plus rounds of golf and all the practice sessions just bin them and start again...if you're not too snobbish about the brand there's some good ones out there 🎊🌟🤩🥳

  • @KentnDebi
    @KentnDebi Год назад +1

Wow! The HyperFlex look great but in play they really don't appear to be wearing (forgive the pun) too well.
Go on, throw them in the washing machine...blow what Rachel thinks 😉😉😉

Paul very well done on reviewing golf shoes after 20 or so rounds - practical and relevant . Others review out the box . Agree with the inner lining wear into holes particularly at the heel area . The manufacturer who figures this out is on a winner (can’t be so difficult ??) nice review thank you .

That’s not the point I’m making. No problem with them getting dirty, but have a problem they won’t clean up or they drop to bits
