  • Mick McKeon and Dennis Nash are two of the icons of Western Australian Speedway who also happened to be two of the absolute Kings of Claremont Speedway literally and figuratively.
Recently, to celebrate "Mighty" Mick McKeon's 70th birthday I sat down with their families to re-live the golden era of their careers at Claremont.
And we did it under the grandstand at the now defunct Claremont Speedway.
What made the whole experience even more amazing was having Dennis' Grandson (and Darren's son) Arron Nash fly them into the grounds in style in a helicopter.
Truly an entrance fit for Kings!
These two humble champions are such a huge part of the fabric of West Australian Speedway and it was such an honour to sit down and celebrate even a small part of their magical careers.

Awesome video Wade, 2 greats that I followed as a young fella growing up...(and FYI, you did a much better job of the video than you did playing cricket against us at Bullsbrook way back then...lol)... keep up the good work, regards to your Dad too if hes still with us..
