Top video as usual. Getting into astronomy again after a 45 year break and love it. It’s so good to see videos like this to help people like myself.

Nice photo! I haven't tried shooting much galaxies, I tried Sombrero last year with very short exposure. I have Shot Lagoon Nebula the best This summer, so far its been cloudy though!

It has been so cloudy. Galaxies are mostly my targets of choice right now as my DSLR is not astro modified, so it doesn't do well with all the HA (reds) in most nebulae.
I will come to sort this issue soon enough...

@@Cheapass-tro I'm literally shooting nebula (the bright ones with my planetary camera zwo asi 224mc.) it works great for sure!

Hi mate, with the canon 450d, the iso 800 is much much better than 1600 with a lower read noise and better exposure time, making your images much much cleaner.

I will give it a shot! Thanks.

Oooops you forgot to edit that out at the flats section hahahahaha!!! Great video Nugsy very informative. I did try my modified 450D with NINA last year but it wouldn't work but it was ok with my other halfs 600D. I haven't bothered updating to the newer version yet as felt there was no need to as everything still works but no doubt I'll update NINA at some point. It does take me back using APT though as that was my go to software for years when I imaged with a 1000D, clear skies!!

😅Let's hope there's no ladies watching that far in! Still haven't tried the 450 with NINA myself. That's 2 comments tonight so I will soon and I'll let you know.

Great video again thanks. Install nina see if it will connect to your 450d. Nina is amazing

For your USB thing, it might be 3 things. Your old CPU and uts buffer size it can pack in it are to small, buffer memmory on your USB is slow or to small or you can try to put it in the back of the moterboard in a USB 3.0 slot. Fromt USB usualy runns thro chipset chip, back USB are usualy linked directly to the CPU. Your laptop might have USBs linked to the CPU or the CPU has bigger buffer for data. So upgrade to maby Ryzen 5 3600x setup. Your 4th gen OC does not help you mate 😉

Thanks for that. I have since upgraded to a Ryzen 7 3700X.
