Demons are not cool . When a police officer shows up to your door and tells you your sister died from an overdose thats what demonic is. Not the allure of music and glitz and glamor of finer desires. Thanks!
a rock and roll machine for sure , classic zep on the 63' SG , communication breakdown is one of my favorite songs , well played , sounded great , thanks guys
FYI: Les Paul took his name off only because he wanted to keep Gibson out of the contentious Divorce he was going through. This is one of Lemmo's best demos!
Cool. yah, I always like the way an SG felt in the Gibson line. The standard Le Paul never felt quite right in the neck for me. I play a Telecaster and a Stratacaster. The Strat is so cozy, warm and round (no edges in sight) super comfortable & sounds amazing. However my recent SG purchase is a marvel! THE GUITAR IS PURE COMFORT...as if it were made for me. The pick up's are terrific, I really love the variety of tones clean; beautiful and poetic, sexy even. If you juice it with some dirt? LOOK OUT! YOU ARE IN FOR A MONSTERS TONE BEAST!
Seems those SGs with the expandable, sidebar whammies sound quite different from most other SGs for some reason the 61-63s are the best sounding. Lemmo demos are delightful, a true artist, joyful music as always.
KingPlaya One of the reasons Les didn’t like it was because it didn’t suit him as a jazz player. And believe me, the SG is my favourite guitar ever but you can’t blame Lester for thinking it didn’t suit him😂. Great guitar no matter what though.
Im not a guitar nerd or anything but I knew this guitar from Guitar Hero Nintendo DS and it was my favorite guitar because of the cool shape and the beautiful color that made it look like the Devil`s guitar ;P . Also were those supposed to be real songs cuz there are no results when I Shazam them :( Anyways you just gained a subscriber :)
Looks like Michael picked up some of Tomo’s strumming style, nice rhythmic stroking there. Of the Gibson solid bodies Michael seems to have an affinity for the SG.
when I was in the army in 75 they had tons of these guitars and the fort knox recreation center. GI's would check them out and jam in one of their rooms. Most people hated these and held out for the slim-pickens of strats they had. I wonder what happened to all those gibsons?
Great stuff as always. Played one of the 2019 reissues of the '61 SG earlier in the year and loved it. Though the high E kept popping out of it's bridge saddle. Is that a thing with these guitars?
@@davidkieltyka9 Thanks man. That's what I thought too, but the store employee told me otherwise. Really disappointing, cause I loved everything else about the guitar. Glad to hear that it's worth another go.
the break angle over the bridge is made shallower by the tremolo system, causing this to happen sometimes. But it shouldn't be happening on new guitars. Its about how the neck is set into the body, determining how high the bridge needs to be. The higher the bridge, the more angle is created down to the tremolo which would stop this happening.
I tried a 1963 les pal SG a friend of mine had . She said she got it for a price because the neck was broken but she got it repaired for like $200. I couldn't believe how good it sounded my guitars sound like crap compared to this and i'm not a gibson fan at all.
That minor denting should swell out if gentle HEET®™ gunn. Or Blow dryer were applied., Assuming a Nitro finishing and it's permiating and swelling characteristics Overall, A nice example of why some refer to Thier instrument an AX
I think they were trying to get rid of string buzzing due to letting tolerances slip on the TOM base and metal saddles. The nylon saddles have a mellower acoustic sound but IMO don’t make any meaningful difference in the amplified sound. Gibson used nylon for making nuts too…lotsa very expen$ive LP Bursts have ‘em.
Damn that clean playing was real nice.

#nrgfreebook Yes, Lemmo's playing is amazing. It's worth tuning in to Guitar of the Day to hear what he's playing today.
You need to get some love for Gibsons. They're great guitars. Great job as always!! You and Jen make a great team!! Thanks!!
Jen sounds hot. Do we know if Jen Is hot? I bet she’s smokin.

Lemmo your tempo has always been spot on. And playing with a looper makes the player realize it.
I love how there are 7 different stories as to why Les Paul was no longer associated with the SG. Good ol’ folklore, gotta love it!
I've only heard that he thought the guitar was just Horendous and wanted *not* to be attached to it
I'm loving the laid back vibes these videos have had lately - just a bunch of oddballs having a laugh, while making kickass music on gorgeous guitars!
I keep getting amazed at Lemmo's playing! Great stuff on an awesome sounding guitar.
Lemmo You Frickin Rip Buddy!!!!! Great way to show folks what these guitars can do, that's the whole point of these videos, I forget sometimes
That first one was amazing!
Thanks Michael this demo made go back to a time in my youth.
10:40 demonic Ozzy peaking over the fretboard during Communication Breakdown solo. Too cool.

Jen, he gotcha. You guys have too much fun at work. Great chemistry. Jen is a photographer, producer, stage manager and who knows what else,
Love SGs

Love the axe and the playing Lemmo ! Thanks Jen ! 😎🎸🎶👍
Walk like an Egyptian meeting Nicks knees....awesome and funny. Great GOTD Lemmo!
Very nice guitar. Excellent guitar player. Wow!
That was AMAZING!!... as usual

Your awesome Michael. Can I got a fever -- a fever for more Nick dancing
Great playing, Michael!
Of all the guitar channels on RUclips, Lemmo is the best guitarist.
Dude, you rock.....Norm needs to give you a raise
He gets a raise from everyone telling him he's awesome and shit, 😆
That is my fave of all time!!
Its your "FOAT" ?
LOL
That's awesome.
Stunning guitar and great playing
I love SG's. This was good.
Fantastic, as usual for Mr.Lemmo!!....🍁
Lemmo with Ozzy shirt 🤘40 year anniversary of Blizzard of Ozz
Right !!
I'd given up on Ozzy then.
RS shows up in my mail box with a great review. Hop in my car that night to buy it. Did not disappoint ;)
Guess we all saw that, dude !
as always, great playing lemmo
I love the look of the faded SG neck😍
I love to play my bass along with your demos. The Zeppelin songs were a blast
That’s funky mannnnnn!
Amazing just like Jen said. You always sound good. Don’t pay any attention to nay sayers. Thanks.
I don’t think anyone denies he is a terrific player, just not the GOAT that people here seem to think.
@@rickjason215 That applies more to Chris buck than lemmo

This GOTD just kicked my ass! Nice one Lemmo!
Nice job as always you two!
You are great Lemmo. Really enjoyed this one
Very Well Done!!!!
Letting the led out 🤘
On the day AC⚡️DC released a teaser from their new album!
I don't have an SG but if I could afford one the early Les Paul models are the ones I dream of.
Great sg.always good to hear som zep
Killer job Mike. Killer.
Really sweet!
Great job Lemmo!
That little dive bomb.
GO NICK !!!!! 🕺
Tasty playing, Michael!
The SGs were some of the best guitars Gibson made in the 60s!
The wiggle stick SGs are cool as hell
thought about picking one of these up. a newer one I guess though.. ha

Killer guitar
Lemmo is on 🔥 today
Jen's got it! 'Agnesi-ism; 'wiggle stick'!! 8)
Lester didn't like the guitar; but the actual reason it was renamed was because his contract ended with Gibson during that time

Good Job Lemmo!!!,,,,,,, Sorry Mark,,,, (I don't know why I HAD to say that)
Such a great guitar for such a great day! Awesome playing Lemmo! However! Gotta do a Maton!

LEMMO FOR INSIDE LIVE!!!!
I own the same boss loop pedal. The reason I know that’s the pedal you’re using is because that’s the default funk beat when you turn on the pedal
Great stuff as always. Played one of the 2019 reissues of the '61 SG earlier in the year and loved it. Though the high E kept popping out of it's bridge saddle. Is that a thing with these guitars?
No, the high E shouldn’t be popping out of the saddle. The saddle slot must’ve been cut too shallow or maybe the guitar was set up poorly.

Angus Young on line 1 ...
Anyone know what that first song is? Lemmo original?
Lemmo is as good a player as Page. So he didn't write those songs. But he might someday.
I bought that record in '80, 14 year old 8th grader...✌️😈...ya did alright on that Zeppelin son...
I love the sg’s lately
I love the look of the vibrolas, but they suck for tuning stability. Solution: Derek Trucks SG.
Lemmo is no mark but he’s definitely got his own thing. Which is what really matters.
You are right. Lemmo kicks Mark's ass one-handed and blindfolded.
Anyone know what that first song he played was?
Idk, but I wanna know too!
Maybe someone will answer that knows!😁
what was the first song lemmo was playing??
I was wondering the same. Can't figure it out
Maybe someone will answer that knows?
I wanna know too, it could've been a Lemmo original? Idk
Not that it matters, but Rudy Sarzo wasn't on the Blizzard of Oz album.
Yup, it was Bob Daisley on bass and the recently departed Lee Kerslake on drums.
My cousin, whom I played with, had one of these. He got to be a junkie and sold it for $300! Heartbreaking story. 😿🙈
Way too many stories like that.
