What Fulbright Means to Me: Marta Tomakhiv

The Fulbright Program, the flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, has fostered mutual understanding between the United States and other countries since 1946.
The Fulbright Program was opened in Ukraine at the beginning of 1992, not long after Ukraine attained independence in 1991. Since the inception of the Fulbright Program in Ukraine, more than 1100 Ukrainian scholars, students, and professionals have traveled to the United States for research or study in U.S. institutions of higher education. During the same period, nearly 850 U.S. scholars, students, and professionals have participated in the Fulbright Program in Ukraine as university lecturers, researchers, and consultants.
Fulbright is for everyone. So that means that Fulbright is also for you.
