@Unwithered Bon Bon889 You and me both . You mean to tell me Slade of all people didn't have a way to escape out of there . I know it's the Batmobile , but this is Slade we're talking about .
You know an antagonist is bad when someone (me) who hasn't read any of the batman comics, hasn't seen any of the movies minus the dark knight trilogy, knows very little about batman, or even knew who Jason Todd was, knew that the "Arkham Knight" Was Jason Todd like halfway through the game. I was somehow able to figure it out during that flashback with Joker and Jason. Thinking to myself, "Ok they clearly put this in for a reason. And we have this faceless villain, so if the Arkham Knight isn't this Jason dude, that'll be a plot twist right there."
At first when i played it tbh i never knew about Jason Todd because i never really read the comics i just played the Arkham games but it was painfully obvious after the Jason Todd flashbacks that i figured it was him. But after i looked up more about Jason and such i could see why a lot of fans were angered by it
They should have had Jason revealed generally early. Probably when "Babs" kills herself. Instead, have the Knight do it, then remove his mask. He has a little speech about Bruce's guilt, then talks about the shot glass not being able to take another shot. Bruce kneels in despair, Scarecrow forces Jason to come along. Jason tells Bruce there will come another time. Then the flashbacks can continue.
Gunshot wounds unless they hit a vital point like anything else doesn't always result in death and Jason does like disabling with arm and leg shots. The blood loss and pain from those kinds of shot will knock you unconscious. Plus I think the DLC was showing off Jason's new non-lethal guns he got from Dick and Lucius for joining the Gotham Protectors. Remember Bruce and the Bat Family don't let him kill in Gotham and after the 2018 story arc where Jason hunts down and captures the Joker, which results in Dick beating the Joker to death, Jason hasn't killed or shown a desire to do so.
@@sandwich8240 You really think Bruce or any member of the Bat Family will just be like "sure go ahead and kill whoever". Not on your life. He also knows if he pulls that shit in Gotham, especially as a new member of the Gotham Protectors they will subdue him and throw his ass in jail. He also agreed to stop killing as part of his joining Batman's team. No I'm not saying he won't kill outside of Gotham, I am saying he has agreed not to in Gotham. Oh and that stupid cartoon isn't canon. Hell the Arkham games aren't even confirmed canon by DC. You might want to get caught up with the comics before you make stupid comments.
@@alexanderson6465 And the sad thing is that there are almost an endless amount of possibilities they could have done with the reveal. Imagine if they revealed that Arkham Knight was Jason at the start of the game. That would have been a big twist and it would affect Batman for the entire game
When the city got flooded, and short circuited the batmobile...I was like, "Yes! Thank you." Then the story was like, "Nope... Here's a way to fix it."
@@bl4ckw1ngz64 not yet... This is my first time playing it. I haven't finished yet. I play in short sports...often in frustration with the tank battles.
@@Sneften no... Not yet. Don't play much. Just got to the tunnel portion... Where Arkham Knight is chasing the batmobile. Ugh... So tired of that thing.
@@jayvansickle7607 oh jesus good luck friend, i literally raged at that part lmao because id be so close to victory and id screw up and have to start over. Batmobille stealth is not fun when its forced, only when i wanna creep up and blast for shits and giggles.
The drone tanks could've been explained as Jason never really having the guts to commit fully to killing his adopted father, or as a human resources issue, or as a modern swarm tactic - i.e., no individual can stop the Bat, so let's overwhelm him. The problem is no explanations were offered, so it is indeed lazy writing, albeit not necessarily in a gamified cop-out sense.
Hell an easy way to rewrite the tanks is to just have it be that since the militia is working with Scarecrow, they didn't want to use any manned tanks as a safety precaution if Scarecrow really goes through with unleashing the fear gas across the city.
The deathstroke battle was my biggest complaint with the batmobile. When he showed up I was so stoked to have another origins like boss fight and we got a tank battle. Such a huge disappointment.
Yeah the batmobile is everyone's biggest complaint I see online. But if you look at gameplay this is the most refined in the series, just some bad design choices and story beats.
Yeah people give this game so much shit but it's honestly, in my opinion, the best in the series. I recently bought and played all the Arkham games and I can say I had the most fun with knight. The combat is fluid and tight and the most responsive and gives you tons of gameplay options and so do the predator sections. When I played Asylum I was surprised at how little you could do in the combat and how clunky a lot of the game felt. I understand it's the first in the series but to say it's better than knight is ridiculous. Sure it laid the foundation but by today's standard it doesn't hold up. The batmobile may be somewhat annoying but to label this game garbage for such a meh problem is unfair.
I don't think people have a problem with batmobile's gameplay mechanics, they have problem with how overused it is. We are playing as Batman, not freaking Iron Man. The main focus should be on hand-to-hand/stealth heavy sections, not on blowing things up. The fact that game forces you into batmobile every two seconds is frustrating as hell. Not only that, but almost every freaking boss battle is a tank fight, it's honestly ridiculous. Oh, Deathstroke? The greatest assassin there is? How do we beat him? With a damn tank. Red Hood? The guy trained by Batman himself. The fight with him will probably be badass...nope, we have a tank fight and stupid stealth section where all you gotta do is grapple onto him.
I'm so glad people remembered the "we made an original character in the Arkham Knight!" and then it was Jason. I was so mad I uninstalled the game after I finished the story and JUST started playing it again a few days ago.
I really liked it. The way Bruce's mental state as a whole was presented in the game was really good imo.

I only like it more when I think about how every joke the Joker made in the game was actually Bruce Wayne coming up with it, just to be repulsed by it. Really showed the dichotomy of Batman and The Joker.
The only issue I have with it is that he kinda outshined Scarecrow. I love Jokers dialogue and such, but I feel like scarecrow should of been more prominent.
It's the best way that they could have handled the Joker in that game, but I feel like a lot of us would have rather they just left Joker dead and focus more on building up the rest of the roster of Batman villains instead.
Fart Tony That’s what made this game so unique and amazing. We already know Batman can beat anything in the physical world (shown in the last three games). The approach to making Batman’s main villain himself was an amazing move, and it would take to long to deliver into a comment. Watch Hitop films video on Arkham knight.
They could have used the Red Hood "story" DLC to show how Jason managed to get his army and his ties to the Scarecrow, as opposed to just killing Black Mask in the Post-Game. Or, they could have easily made each of the DLC and sidekick characters playable in the open world. That last one mainly boils down to "we really liked the Bat-Tank." Granted, the Batmobile was cool. You know, up until you realized it was 90% of the gameplay loop.
@@AG-zw4of A lot of people do exaggerate it's use but to be fair it reeeealy over stays it's welcome. At least the combat mode section, I liked the riddler tracks quite a bit
Imagine if the sidekicks were avaible without the paid part. Like imagine if there was a character swap mechanic and each character had their own things to do. Or if they added alternate story endings like if bruce was locked in the cell and tim went to face Scarecrow and Jason and the story went completely dark and downhill. Or if Joker had taken over bruce's body and he caused mayhem like saw in the true ending but it expanded on it a bit more.
Also...why tf are u driving on rooftops? Idk who brilliant fukin idea that was but they shld b shot

The car is way faster than gliding, are you kidding? You can even jump the rivers instead of taking the bridges, it’s literally twice as fast to drive and then quick eject. That’s why.
@@fugit1vegaming397 I agree, but technically speaking, Batman: Arkham City's Batman Beyond skin is the real one. The one in Batman: Arkham Knight is Batman Beyond 2039, which is a original Rocksteady designed batsuit. I like it too but the main issue I have is that in Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight, there are not enough skins that have masks (not cowls), and if there is a skin with a mask, it's never done properly. Like even Batman Beyond 2039 finally has a mask in a Rocksteady made Batman: Arkham game, but then it's see through? It's almost like Rocksteady don't like masks or something, but then they make the Arkham Knight look epic! I wish they did something like that for Batman himself too because you are literally playing as him most of the time. Where as in Batman: Arkham Origins there are 2 fantastic masked skins, Knightfall Batman and Batman One Million. You could even stretch it a bit further and include the Extreme Environment Batsuit and unused Worst Nightmare skin too as third and fourth ones. I get that Batman is known to not wear a mask, as well as the fact that most of Batman's appearances are variations of his usual cowl appearance, but it's not like Batman has never used a proper mask before. Plus, in Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight, there are plenty of regular cowl-bearing batsuits to choose from, so whenever there is a chance to have good batsuits like the Knightfall Batman and Batman One Million suits, they should go for it like Batman: Arkham Origins did.
The skins won't download for me, but I guess that is just my shitty PS4. I have all my progress saved on there, but everything either doesn't download or downloads slow.
Knights Batman beyond is a more futuristic version of the original Batman beyond. City's is true to the original beyond suit where as knights is a advanced version of it
I always had a headcanon that Bruce really *was* cured and that Joker would never have been able to take over his body, that it was all just a genuine hallucination caused by Scarecrow. Gives more credibility to the Scarecrow as a villain: he's the actual one causing the trauma he says he is, rather than the Joket coming back being a threat.
About Man Bat and Firefly. There's a list of upgrades that let you use gadgets in the air why werent they used to make a boss fight against Firefly and man bat? They could have had Batman chase Firefly to some area and Batman would have to keep using the grapple boost to stay in the air to chase after Fly and use specific gadgets to take fly down. For Man Bat they could have had Batman fight him in an abandoned building and you would have to use stealth to take him down and you wouldn't have be to use detective Vision due to man bat using some sort of echo location or something.
@@youtube_untouched8401 it's easy to criticize a game when you aren't making it. Player choice is a hard thing to really get right in such a detailed game.
The art style and animations in Knight are the best. But yes a few mis steps. The game would be better with 85% less Bat tank. I also don't understand why we couldn't change gadgets real time with the D pad like all the other games...
Super Steve I honestly preferred Arkham knights gadget system, the way it paused time allowed me to switch gadgets mid fight, for example wanting to use a smoke pellet without getting shot at, or simply looking up what the quick fire for this gadget was mid fight.
@@urticantspoon9960 i guess it worked for you. But for those of us that didnt have any problems with how it worked in arkham city, it kinda sucks. For amateurs its fine, but ive been playing batman since they started making good batman games, and it sucks, slows me down and brings down that fun factor, quick thinking is out the window with this game.
My personal gripe with Knight is the lack of free roaming post story. Like in city where you could run around and explore and beat up random thugs, yes in Knight you can do this to an extent see they gave us 6 characters (7 if you count batgirl, but she’s paralyzed so) and we can only use them in small story bits and challenges I would like to have ran around Gotham as the whole bat family, including Harley.
That game isn't a solo game for her though it has all of the bat family in it and you can just choose not to play as her and just be someone else. So it's technically not a game about her, it's a game about all of them.
@@MrBread-gt7jd it wasn't...they basically just tried to make the story of under the red hood into something new by tricking us... It sucked to be honest!
@@pottytraincrash744 the fact that it takes place on Christmas eve is really cool. Makes it a great game to play around December. I wish there were more games like that
But origins was extremely disappointing when they revealed the joker, should've just kept it as black mask and the assassins and if they really had to, then maybe a cameo from the joker
My two main problems with this game are the overuse of the bat mobile and that Jason’s motives don’t make sense. His whole idea is that Batman’s methods aren’t effective and that you need to put down the worst criminals. Why on earth would Jason team up with the very people he’s trying to kill ?
Origins is one of the most underrated games ever. Had awesome boss fights, a large overworld, great story, and indepth side missions. It got a bad rap because of some glitches, and not being by Rocksteady. I would say it is definitely better than at least Arkham Knight.
The overworld in Origins was bland and boring tbh and some of the assassins were underutilized. Even though the combat was clucky the boss fights were amazing.
11:20 In the words of Alfred Hitchcock. “There is a distinct difference between "suspense" and "surprise," and yet many pictures continually confuse the two. I'll explain what I mean. We are now having a very innocent little chat. Let's suppose that there is a bomb underneath this table between us. Nothing happens, and then all of a sudden, "Boom!" There is an explosion. The public is surprised, but prior to this surprise, it has seen an absolutely ordinary scene, of no special consequence. Now, let us take a suspense situation. The bomb is underneath the table and the public knows it, probably because they have seen the anarchist place it there. The public is aware the bomb is going to explode at one o'clock and there is a clock in the decor. The public can see that it is a quarter to one. In these conditions, the same innocuous conversation becomes fascinating because the public is participating in the scene. The audience is longing to warn the characters on the screen: "You shouldn't be talking about such trivial matters. There is a bomb beneath you and it is about to explode!" In the first case we have given the public fifteen seconds of surprise at the moment of the explosion. In the second we have provided them with fifteen minutes of suspense. The conclusion is that whenever possible the public must be informed. Except when the surprise is a twist, that is, when the unexpected ending is, in itself, the highlight of the story.” A bit long, but you get the point.
I love this game...but I agree with what you said. They honestly could have just done a death in the family flash back instead of that Joker burning thing at the start of the game and people would have been fine with the Arkham Knight’s story. The #1 thing that pissed me off was how they handled Deathstroke. That cutscene after that EASY as hell cobra tank battle felt like a slap in the face. I roll my eyes every time I replay it!
Scarecrow got away at ACE Chemicals because of the Arkham Knight telling him about Barbra and him using it against you. Joker only showed up after he got away. Joker can also be considered an extension of Scarecrow in a way because of him being caused and strengthened due to actions done by Scarecrow. Small point but thought I should point it out.
I didn't know Jason Todd was the villain a mile away. Didn't it show him getting shot in the head? - I liked most of the Batmobile stuff, but I get how it was over done a bit. - Didn't care too much about the lack of civilians
I agree with the civilians because if there was then you wouldn't be able to drive the batmobil at the speeds at usual and if the homeless were left then it would have been just as annoying as the political prisoners in Arkham City
Kre8or333 Same I didn’t know who he was because of the flashbacks but I bought the red hood dlc AND HE HAS AN ARKHAM KNIGHT SKIN, I was so mad about that
TheDuck ThatQuacks but that completely changes the person who uses it, I don’t think he would’ve been able to train an entire militia after resurrecting
I agree with everything except for 2. It all made sense when Scarecrow released his fear Toxin. You had to avoid the Ground and the Drones were patrolling in case Batman was in his Batmobile. The villains should have been a little more unified, cause their inclusion in the story didn't flow as smoothly as the other games yes even Origins.
Batman: Under the Red Hood is still my hands down favorite animated super hero movie ever. I for one loved that they added Jason Todd as the main villain but I do agree the way they added him wasn't the best. They seriously should've done the red hood implementation for Todd in this game and it would've been so much better. I absolutely LOVED the way they did the Joker in this game. So glad he became a character that still had so much influence in Bruce's mind and he couldn't shake him even after death. That to me was such an amazing implementation.
I have kind of a funny story. I grew up knowing only of the DCA Universe. So the only robins I knew of were Dick and Tim (who I guess had a tragic story in the DCAU that parallels Jason's). I'm watching Under the Red Hood. I see that Robin has died. I'm not crying or anything, but it was like a "Oh my God!" moment seeing a Robin die. Then Batman says "Jason" and I go "WHO'S JASON?" Overall a great movie. Batman's actor did a good job. I'm glad they ended up doing something of a sequel (which also mentioned themes in flashbacks to the movie that I never noticed), because the ending of the movie kind of saddened me because there really wasn't any closure. I didn't grow up reading the comics and I still don't read them. I watch videos going over the plots of them, but I never really read and follow up on the comics themselves. So Under the Red Hood was all I really had, so it was kind of upsetting not really getting any closure. I find it a little funny that Young Justice, when it was still a show mainly targeted toward kids, just kind of glossed over Jason. There was Dick, then Dick is Nightwing and Tim is Robin, also in the dead people holograms, there's one of Jason, he existed. Until that Red Hood reveal in season 3, that's really the only reference we had to Jason in the series. Then again, his story is possibly told in the comics for between the seasons.
@@stanislausklim7794 Glad to see others have enjoyed that movie as well. I do highly recommend reading the runs with Jason Todd as Robin. Fairly good comics and you get to understand his character a lot more. BTW Young Justice is still going on as of last year but it suffered a 4 year blow from the 1st 2 seasons to the 2nd 2 seasons. Must say the 1st 2 seasons were awesome and I loved every episode. Now it's a shell of itself with nothing but depression, gloom, political correctness(and undertones of that) and I can't even finish the 4th season. I'd say give it a shot if you have HBO max but for me I'll stick with the original 2 seasons and stop there.
The two HUGE problems I had with the game were A)bosses were terrible B)Batmobile combat The bosses are what I remember most about Arkham games. The fact there was no real final boss or memerable bosses is a real shame because it was the last of the series(Maybe not if arkham legacy is real). The batmobile combat was awful. Super clunky controls and it was not satisfying in the slightest
I personally love the Season of Infamy. And the story is great (some minor blemishes, but I wouldn’t call it lazy at all.) Plus, I think the Joker virus made Scarecrow an even greater psychological threat.
In fairness to Jason reguarding the tanks. He stopped being Robin several years beforehand and the game tells us the the Battank upgrade to the Batmobile is a very recent upgrade. So it is possible that when Jason was planning this he didn't account for the upgrade and thought it would be drones vs an unarmed car.
Its really annoying to wait for this batman game. I'm also waiting for the avengers game to be released but at least they announced it and are giving more info. I mean they teased the game with a trailer two years ago. For the new batman game they're just tweeting without even a 30 second teaser trailer
To be fair the one thing I will say, is that when you actually play the game, it's pretty clear that they're not trying to trick you into thinking it's not Jason Todd. I think it's supposed to be obvious to the audience, but the thing we're anticipating isn't the reveal, it's how Batman will react (which is also pretty lack luster)
Yeah so the deathstroke fight was a “huge” let down, and yeah I did beat him and his drones in like 2 minutes, but tbh I wasn’t really expecting a big fight, he just came from nowhere. And tbh all the fights were kinda lazy and easy to beat. The hardest one was probably the riddler, not cause it was hard, cause it was the longest fight
I think something they could’ve done is have red hood around as the red hood. And they can come up with some bs about why he is still the Arkham knight, but we could get to see Jason as Redhood interact with Batman as “allies”. Kinda a bad way to do it but it could’ve been more entertaining and it would’ve been a better reveal
What I love about Joker in this game is he is more than a psychological threat. He’s an emotional one. Batman is having to forgive himself for breaking his one rule. Joker is in his head, he represents Bruce’s worst thoughts. Where he says to himself that he wasn’t going to save Joker, but Joker took the choice away from him before he made it. Batman was struggling with the death of his love, and knowing that the joker had won. When he locks Joker away, he is moving on from it and not letting the Batman be ruined. As for Joker being the defeating force when Batman catches scarecrow, it’s just that Batman is hit by the toxin and is seeing Joker because of it. It isn’t that Joker saves Scarecrow, it’s Scarecrow’s toxin that is bringing Joker out.
If the Arkham episodes were around the same length of Harley Quinn’s revenge from city and had a quality story to back with the characters it probably would’ve been one of the greatest dlcs in gaming
He only had a portion of the cure, enough to get rid of the lethal effects, but the remains of Joker's blood were still there. Thus, hallucinationss and nightmares, enhanced into reality by fear toxin.
I think doing under the hood was a bad idea I think if they wanted to have Jason he should have been an alley. They could have done somthing like nightwings side missions with him

Do you know who would have been the perfect choice for Arkham Knight? Barbara Gordon. Think on all the scenes like the "Killing Joke" flashback and when she, supposedly, kills herself. All the emotional weight. Then, there she is, alive and walking. Not only that, she is Arkham Knight and blames Batman for not killing Joker before he paralyzed her for years. She recovered her legs by some surgery secretly and continued being Oracle. She gives some treacherous data along the game that end up setting a trap to Batman. Even the suicide would be a pretense by her. Oh man, all the drama. And, of course, they would get along in the end, as heroes do, to defeat the greater villain. By the way, the way she fights in the DLC is badass and beautiful at the same time. When they finally make her solo movie, it should be in that uniform and that fight style.
My favorite part about Jason Todd is the old gamestop ads that at the end said "pre-order now and play as red hood" and showed the exact same armor as the arkham knight but with a red mask
the only major drawbacks for me on this game were the late game combat and controls, tank gameplay, and *some* of the rogues gallery. the combat and stealth in this game is top notch, no doubt, but it frustrates me to no end when the game cannot conjure a greater difficulty spike in enemies once it gives them miniguns and electric nightsticks, and just decides instead to start throwing more of them at you, eventually leading to you entering an environment to be immediately swamped by dozens of enemies, equipped with the occsional electric field and swords. not to mention the interference this gives when trying to deal with heavy enemies, which are also slowly but surely littered throughout every main mission and side quest. and it wouldn't be as tedious if this huge pile on of enemies didn't fuck with the combat. but it does. the tank and car gameplay in general, while appreciated, is underwhelming. the car doesn't behave like a car, as it shouldn't what with it being the batmobile, but it makes racing a bore in it. you'll only ever go as fast as the game allows, and there's no slow leaning riddler wall you cant drive over as he screams about his calculus confirming your untimely demise. but at least there's the tank gameplay, right? is what i would be saying if the tank gameplay wasn't unironically a chore, with 0 difficulty if you know what you're doing. figuring out where every sensor light is on every conveniently unmanned drone turns tank combat into popping around tank trajectory and zooming in and out, popping tanks with less than a dozen bullets one by one with ease. it never becomes hard, and i never needed to upgrade the batmobile, ever. i would have honestly preferred if it was brought out as just the batmobile, a mode of transportation, and then later upgraded to tank status and given to the player during the cloudburst release. at least then it has a reason to be a tank. outside of that, Batman on his own makes the tanks far more threatening of an enemy force. the rogues gallery in size and in who they brought in was great, but how they handled it gameplay wise was poor. just from base game and SOF, Man-Bat is the same mission 3 times, and achieved fairly quickly by flying from mission to mission, and picking up on his sounds, two face is just stealth missions indoors, penguin is the same tightly enclosed combat and slowly following a van around the roads, Hush was done the dirtiest with one offhand qte, Azrael is what happens when the devs decide you need to do the AR challenges to 100% the game, the militia related content, particularly the APC goose chase is a chore, the firecrew takes too long, firefly is the same goosechase as the APC's, and Riddler blue ballsing you after waiting so long and sitting through all his tedious trials and shit talk just to tell you that you need to finish and find every riddle and puzzle in the city (of which there are 243) before you can break his nose is enough to encourage someone to put down the game and never touch it again.
The red hood addition straight up spoiled the end of the game. I had just bought it and I was checking out my batsuits, when suddenly, under costumes for the arkham knight, there was red hood. Brilliant. I called it when I saw the game at first, but it's like they didn't even f-ing try.
I know this is an old video but I decided to replay the Arkham Knight and thought Damian Wayne would've probably fit as the Arkham Knight rather than Jason Todd, since Talia died in Arkham City he could go after Batman for abandonment and the death of his mother.
Only issue with that is that we don't know if Damian exists. You can't just inject him into the story without the entire backstory of Thalia raping Batman.
I actually think that this was the best from the series in my opinion cause I really enjoyed it. The 2 things for me that was bad were the overuse of the batmobile and that there were no boss fights...
I just finished this game for the first time after playing it to completion at release and I really enjoyed it more the second time around. I think I was so disappointed by the overuse of the batmobile the first time so going into it this time knowing what I was getting into made it seem a lot less excessive. But still, there is a little too much going on with the batmobile. However, just about everything else in this game I found very enjoyable.
I knew Arkham Knight was Jason from the very beginning, and when I got the game I pretty much confirmed it whenever he would taunt Batman during predator missions, "You can't fool me, Batman. I know how you think." But deep down, I was hoping that the Arkham Knight was Hush as one big twist. Edit: or at least, Damian.
4:25 To answer your question when Batman is told that the drones are unarmed he turns off weapons lock meaning he could easily disable the drones without hurting the drivers fatally
4:26 From what i've gathered, I realized that the reason why he does this is because he wants Batman to show no restraint, to see what he's capable of, so he can defeat him even when he's at his strongest. It is less so about defeating him, and moreso about demoralizing and destroying him. It's why he sends his helicopter after him through a drone, because he knows Batman won't hold back if he's not inside of it
Everybody knew that Jason Todd was the Arkham Knight. I never seen or heard of Jason Todd before the Arkham Knight and even I figured it out as soon as he was introduce on screen. I pretty much confirmed when I checked the bio characters data. He had the same height and weight as the Arkham Knight.
Im actually glad someone found out like that also because I was thinking could it be Jason todd then i checked out the data and realized they were the same and it kinda ruined the surprise since i wasn't that far in the game yet at the time
I love Batman Arkham knight but there are a few things they could have done better and here is one of them. Cobra tanks like the Arkham knight cobra battle because it was just annoying and I love the batmobile in this game! A good thing they did is the Easter eggs because they weren’t a pain in the butt to find and thats in asylum and city which you can see calendar man at the end where you see almost all the people from above. You can see man bat after you leave the clock tower for the first time. And those are off the top of my head and there is so much more Easter eggs and so much to explore! (I do know more Easter eggs)
My personal number 1 would be the Tim and Barbara romance. As a fan of the comics, that just weirds me the hell out. Also I'm not sure this game felt like the epic conclusion it could have been. The whole reason for Batman's no-kill rule is so that he doesn't go over the edge. Maybe this could have been the point he decided to give that up? Gotham's being invaded by an army after all. Would have been much better than the whole drone thing.
we needed to be able to go back and play the AR+ mode with the Joker mobile. The original bat mobile got DESTROYED and we could still use THAT, so there is no excuse
I remember my brother buying me the game a year after it came out and i heard nothing about it just that Arkham games are good and so my brother says that Arkham knight will be a surprise and i immediately say is it Jason Todd? And he literally states That it was pretty obvious
I liked the season pass I loved the dlc I don’t get the complaint I didn’t feel cheated at all loved he skins loved nightwings and red hood and Harley dlc. I mean yes short but I still liked and season of ifamy was good
1 - Even though I didn’t mind the boss fights too much, I agree it sometimes feel out of place. A lot of wasted potential as well. But it was still a really fun edition. 2 - I agree with that completely, both the city fleeing and especially the tank problem. Throughout the game we’re told that he knows all of Batman’s secrets. So why wouldn’t he try and prevent him from killing people? I think it could’ve been worked around as well by making it so the tanks were disabled, and you shot the people that got out of the tanks with rubber bullets. The enemies piling ontop of the tank and attempting to get in. As for the Jason Todd part, I honestly had no idea it was him. Probably because I’m just personally dumb and can’t see foreshadowing unless I’m specifically looking for foreshadowing even if it’s obvious. It didn’t help that I didn’t know who Redhood even was, and the fact I didn’t even know he had different Robins until I played the game (didn’t play the previous games.) 3 - Can’t say much about the marketing but I’ll just comment on what you said. However, I can see why you would be disappointed at that. Also now knowing the history of Redhood know, it is kind of a bummer that he was Arkham Knight. Wish he was an original character or maybe a forgotten/not cared for person who became a villain. 4 - Can’t comment on this due to not playing the previous games. 5 - Also can’t comment on, didn’t get it.
There was too much bat mobile but I love the game. It’s my favorite and I just played all three Rocksteady games in a row. Knight is so much more fun to play, they perfected Batman in that game. The graphics, gameplay, stealth, Batmovbile and suits were amazing. I loved Arkham knight even being Jason. It was cool to me. I’m not deep into Batman lore so I guess that’s why I enjoyed it more than most.
Am the only one who had no idea who the arkham knight was until he took off his mask? I knew who Jason Todd was, but I had no idea that the arkham knight was him. Like, that was a legit surprise reveal for me.
Funny thing. I like how the joker always steals the show. Because you eventually share Batman’s hate of the joker. He’s always there, laughing, killing and destroying everything around you, and the only way to stop him is death. But you swore not to break your one rule. Do not kill. In my opinion it helps to shove you into Batman’s shoes. Sure you’ve still got other amazing batman villains to take on, but batman’s biggest enemy is always the joker. After all, your two threads of the same stitch! Now I would love to see the court of owls being the master mind, and joker is the big distraction. It would be nice.
Jason should have had a fight ala Deathstroke in origins before or after his snipe hiding one and scarecrow I wanted like a new fear I get the joker I’m fine with joker but I think we all wanted a Arkham asylum type fight with scarecrow just newer new graphics everything instead our only fight with scarecrow was us vs joker
The bosses and encounters with villains were very odd in general I completely agree. I think they made a mistake with the confrontations with Knight, Scarecrow and Deathstroke's especially.
I feel like arkham knight should have just been under the red hood but instead of the joker burnning in the beging of the game you get a prompt telling you to wake up like the easter egg but you kick open the door and are told to escape start of the game done then just under the red hood not a big physical threat for everyone but a huge mental threat for batman. That would have been great.
Hey dude great video hope you’ll respond to this but 3 things one when you were talking about marketing you should of also brought up the insane “Pre Order to play as Harley Quinn” I mean they told us this in the first trailer to the game back in 2014, but you basically only get to play with her for 15 Minutes Aside the Challenges Another thing you should have brought up was the fact that they had all these fun and unique characters but you can’t free roam with them which I absolutely think is Bull It’s Like Giving someone a half piece of pizza and saying ok you can only have half of this already small and half pizza it’s stupid and lastly I don’t know what you mean about console players not being able to use the golden bat symbol suit but I have Xbox one and I can use it and free roam and I don’t use mods I really hope you have enough time to respond to this comment other than that have great day awesome video keep up The good work Dude. 👍🏻
I've definitely been thinking about it since making these lists, and they've been overwhelmingly received positive, despite small amounts of backlash, so I think I will definitely be doing like 5 more things for each thing at some point in the future. The pre-order bonuses definitely will make that list that's a great point and idea. the lack of free roam for other characters was also a little bit odd and I'm not sure why it didn't make it into the game. As far as the golden batsuit, you can use it in free roam, but what I meant is in order to get it you need to hit 240% in the game, meaning you've done pretty much everything in free roam already. there's no way for me to restart the game on that same file with the suit, and the suit does not carry over between files. You can't even restart new game plus you need to just start a new save file to do so, so you don't really get to see that suit and all its glory in the story because you can't see it in cutscenes or anything. That's what I was talking about disappoints me with this suit. There's a couple different things going on with these videos, which is one sometimes I just misspeak because I have a speech impediment that developed from stress after my dad passed away.another is that there's so many details for me to keep track of, sometimes I get a minor detail wrong or say it poorly, because I don't script the videos. I basically right the list out and then talk about it point-by-point so that it doesn't sound manufactured inscripted because I'm not very good at reading scripts yet at least. these were all very fair questions but I hope that explains what you were asking me.
Degenerate Jay Hey Dude no problem and I’m super sorry about your loss, you doing great tho and keep up the great work I mean these videos are truly amazing and thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond to my comment it’s just I really wanted to know what you thought about the pre order BS
@@kaylebloveshorror2295 hey dude I appreciate it. It's very hard I try to talk about it cause I figure it makes it easier for other people who have similar stuff to know they can. Ya I mean just please make sure that pre order bonus makes your list because for them to Do Harley like that was real dirty and to top all that off she didn’t even gets boss fight you know
I always hate the cobra tanks, sneaking around in a tank and creeping up to the back of a cobra tank in order to destroy it just didn’t seem like something batman would do
How to make the riddler actually fun and interesting: Step 1: Get rid of his awful dialogue where he moans or sounds glitchy Step 2: Change his motives, where he tries to undergo practical ways of outsmarting batman. Make it so he tries to have definitive proof of being more intelligent Step 3: Make all riddler trophies dissapear, and make it so that the riddles are more prevalent, as that makes more sense Step 4: Reduce the amount of these, so that there is more joy out of completing it instead of frustration
Imo the weirdest thing about making Jason Todd the Arkham Knight is I feel like if they were gonna shoehorn any character into the role, Damian Wayne would've worked much better to fit here especially in context of the Arkham series.
When you bring up the evacuation thing and mention Origins as a negative in the category, I can't help but remember that there *were* people still there. The homeless featured in the story in a few places, and over the intercom they announce that it wasn't an *evacuation*, but a *weather advisory*, and people were still getting caught outside and getting mugged or blackmailed by ninjas if you did the ongoing crimes.
I feel like Im in the minority, but I unapologetically love the Batmobile in this game. It’s look and the way it drives had me hooked from day one. I also thought the cobra and combat stuff was pretty fun and clever. Narratively its all questionable, but the way they incorporated the freeflow and predator mechanics into the car was always intriguing to me. The synergy they created between Batman and the car gave this game a really unique feel, in my opinion. All that being said, I definately wouldn’t want to see it replicated in the next game. I personally hope Montreal takes a more down to earth approach with their next game. Great video. Looking forward to what you do next👍
@@Unknown-zn8cg Fair point. But I would argue that Batman was sort of OP even without it, especially in predator sections. The fear multi-takedown alone allowed for crazy short encounters, especially considering it only took a single silent takedown to charge. Combine that with the Remote Hacking Device and the Disruptor, and enemy encounters in most places are almost a non-issue. Fun for sure, but not as well balanced as Asylum or City. How's your day by the way?
I figured it was Jason from the first interaction. “How does he know my armour? How does he know how I fight? He’s definitely a Robin. Which Robin hates batman and likely wants to kill him? Jason.”
one BIG thing they did wrong is overuse of the Batmobile, also the Deathstroke boss battle.
If you could call it that ( I had 4 full energy bars and kept shooting and I beat him in 3 seconds )
That Deathstroke Boss encounter was Embarrassing and painful to watch . And to just throw him in jail like a common thug was just .....Ugh !

@Unwithered Bon Bon889 I face palmed on that part.
Firefly as well. All we do, is chasing him with the Batmobile, dodge some flames till his jetpack fuel runs out.
But after i looked up more about Jason and such i could see why a lot of fans were angered by it
Matty C what would have been cool Is if you make everyone think it’s Jason but then it’s not and Jason comes in and saves Batman
@@ishra8926 Nah that's worse tbh. Like where the heck was Jason all that time if he was fine? Who would even become the Arkham Knight?
They should have had Jason revealed generally early. Probably when "Babs" kills herself. Instead, have the Knight do it, then remove his mask. He has a little speech about Bruce's guilt, then talks about the shot glass not being able to take another shot. Bruce kneels in despair, Scarecrow forces Jason to come along. Jason tells Bruce there will come another time. Then the flashbacks can continue.
And even if you didn't get it you can check AK and JT height and weight
Jason: Literally shoots someone several times

it says neutralised with a flat line heart rate? you cant more unconscious than that
Yeah lol. I mean to be fair you can't be awake if you're dead 😂😂
@@chrisbennett6236 I doubt he's being restricted from killing considering he kicks black mask out the window

There was an explaination in-game but it was lazy too
Arkham Knight didn't want his tanks to hesitate against batman or have any fear of him
Hell an easy way to rewrite the tanks is to just have it be that since the militia is working with Scarecrow, they didn't want to use any manned tanks as a safety precaution if Scarecrow really goes through with unleashing the fear gas across the city.

@Super JLK so you play Knight because of costumes? Bruh
Asylum is the best then knight Origins city
The design choices are the best! Rocksteady worked on this for almost five years! It’s so realistic!
I'm so glad people remembered the "we made an original character in the Arkham Knight!" and then it was Jason. I was so mad I uninstalled the game after I finished the story and JUST started playing it again a few days ago.
I think what they meant was arkham knight himself is a new character Which he was
I like how the joker was handled. Didn’t see an issue with it
I really liked it.
You know, up until you realized it was 90% of the gameplay loop.
the batmobile took up 18% of the story. not 90%.
@@AG-zw4of yeah 18% but you played the game it feels like 90%

Imagine if the sidekicks were avaible without the paid part. Like imagine if there was a character swap mechanic and each character had their own things to do. Or if they added alternate story endings like if bruce was locked in the cell and tim went to face Scarecrow and Jason and the story went completely dark and downhill. Or if Joker had taken over bruce's body and he caused mayhem like saw in the true ending but it expanded on it a bit more.

Something it did right:THE SKINS
Knight Batman Beyond > City
@@fugit1vegaming397
I agree, but technically speaking, Batman: Arkham City's Batman Beyond skin is the real one.
They sort of butchered The Dark Knight suit though.

In the words of Alfred Hitchcock.
The two HUGE problems I had with the game were
A)bosses were terrible
B)Batmobile combat
The bosses are what I remember most about Arkham games.
Jason’s “death” should have been introduced in Arkham Asylum / City
I never understood why they thought it would be a good idea to say “hey let’s do pure Batmobile “fights” I’m sure they’ll love it.”
Gabriel_005gamer it’ll probably be announced along with the ps5
@@Unknown-zn8cg yeah I feel like they're developing it on a new engine for the next generation of consoles
Maybe Expect a trailer hopefully by The VGAs this December, if not then next year's E3
You’re annoyed that they’re taking time to develop the game and holding off on spoiler filled trailers? That’s silly af
Legacy same bro
To be fair the one thing I will say, is that when you actually play the game, it's pretty clear that they're not trying to trick you into thinking it's not Jason Todd. I think it's supposed to be obvious to the audience, but the thing we're anticipating isn't the reveal, it's how Batman will react (which is also pretty lack luster)
Yes! I mean I get he's Batman but come on!
Yeah, I got hit just cause I thought it was like the Arkham knight fight so I didn’t know what to do
"it'll never happen"
Gotham Knights
THE WHOLE GAME SERIES IS ABOUT BATMAN AND JOKERS RELATIONSHIP SO WHY WOULDN'T HE BE IN THE GAME!!!!!!!
The story doesn't make sense.. Batman got the cure on Arkham City and then here he was never cure.
He only had a portion of the cure, enough to get rid of the lethal effects, but the remains of Joker's blood were still there. Thus, hallucinationss and nightmares, enhanced into reality by fear toxin.
He only drank half of the cure he saved the other half for Joker but then he dropped it after Joker stabbed him
I love all the Arkham games. They’re so great. The entire concept is so fun
I think doing under the hood was a bad idea I think if they wanted to have Jason he should have been an alley. They could have done somthing like nightwings side missions with him
I hate when you try to kick your enemy off roof but they get blocked from falling down
Hope you all enjoy and let me know what you think! You all have your own unique takes :) Patreon is up or check me out on Twitter. Both links are in the description!
Thanks Creeker! Asylum and City are both lists I'll be working on in the near future!

Tank mobile Tankmobile Tankmobile Tankmobile Tankmobile Those are the 5 things that AK did wrong.
Spam spam spam spam spam those are the 5 things you did wrong
the only major drawbacks for me on this game were the late game combat and controls, tank gameplay, and *some* of the rogues gallery.
the combat and stealth in this game is top notch, no doubt, but it frustrates me to no end when the game cannot conjure a greater difficulty spike in enemies once it gives them miniguns and electric nightsticks, and just decides instead to start throwing more of them at you, eventually leading to you entering an environment to be immediately swamped by dozens of enemies, equipped with the occsional electric field and swords. not to mention the interference this gives when trying to deal with heavy enemies, which are also slowly but surely littered throughout every main mission and side quest. and it wouldn't be as tedious if this huge pile on of enemies didn't fuck with the combat. but it does.
the tank and car gameplay in general, while appreciated, is underwhelming. the car doesn't behave like a car, as it shouldn't what with it being the batmobile, but it makes racing a bore in it. you'll only ever go as fast as the game allows, and there's no slow leaning riddler wall you cant drive over as he screams about his calculus confirming your untimely demise. but at least there's the tank gameplay, right? is what i would be saying if the tank gameplay wasn't unironically a chore, with 0 difficulty if you know what you're doing. figuring out where every sensor light is on every conveniently unmanned drone turns tank combat into popping around tank trajectory and zooming in and out, popping tanks with less than a dozen bullets one by one with ease. it never becomes hard, and i never needed to upgrade the batmobile, ever. i would have honestly preferred if it was brought out as just the batmobile, a mode of transportation, and then later upgraded to tank status and given to the player during the cloudburst release. at least then it has a reason to be a tank. outside of that, Batman on his own makes the tanks far more threatening of an enemy force.
the rogues gallery in size and in who they brought in was great, but how they handled it gameplay wise was poor. just from base game and SOF, Man-Bat is the same mission 3 times, and achieved fairly quickly by flying from mission to mission, and picking up on his sounds, two face is just stealth missions indoors, penguin is the same tightly enclosed combat and slowly following a van around the roads, Hush was done the dirtiest with one offhand qte, Azrael is what happens when the devs decide you need to do the AR challenges to 100% the game, the militia related content, particularly the APC goose chase is a chore, the firecrew takes too long, firefly is the same goosechase as the APC's, and Riddler blue ballsing you after waiting so long and sitting through all his tedious trials and shit talk just to tell you that you need to finish and find every riddle and puzzle in the city (of which there are 243) before you can break his nose is enough to encourage someone to put down the game and never touch it again.
However, just about everything else in this game I found very enjoyable.
the one thing I really like about the ending of the main story is how jason helps batman at the end
Except no..that’s not what that means at all?? Lmfao????

@@Zeroooooouhhh no that’s not what that means lmao. Weapons lock just means the controls to use the weapons are disabled at that time

From what i've gathered, I realized that the reason why he does this is because he wants Batman to show no restraint, to see what he's capable of, so he can defeat him even when he's at his strongest. It is less so about defeating him, and moreso about demoralizing and destroying him. It's why he sends his helicopter after him through a drone, because he knows Batman won't hold back if he's not inside of it
batmobile completely ruins this game, i'd take Origins over Knight
City>Origins>Asylum>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>knight
ricard modo yes. I hated using the car after a while especially chasing those stupid apc trucks.
Agreed! AO always feels like a BATMAN fame, not world of tanks.
Also, Jason's frustration with Batman's "no kill" rule is basically his entire motivation as the Red Hood/Arkham Knight.
0:00 holy shit i had no idea you could do this

Jay: I wouldn’t mind seeing a game about Batgirl, but it’ll never happen.
Gotham Knights: *just you wait*
You have a soft spot for Batgirl, I have to say my spot is somewhat firm for her!! Great series of vids you have!
Am I the only one that thought that season of infamy was absolutely amazing
we needed to be able to go back and play the AR+ mode with the Joker mobile.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing a game about Barbara (It’ll never happen)”
Gotham Knights: Cries in the Corner
It didn’t help that I didn’t know who Redhood even was, and the fact I didn’t even know he had different Robins until I played the game (didn’t play the previous games.)
3 - Can’t say much about the marketing but I’ll just comment on what you said.
I’m not deep into Batman lore so I guess that’s why I enjoyed it more than most.
the easter eggs are amazing, the best of the series
I couldn’t predict Jason Todd
I mean if it was I thought he would only have his red hood outfit
Am the only one who had no idea who the arkham knight was until he took off his mask? I knew who Jason Todd was, but I had no idea that the arkham knight was him. Like, that was a legit surprise reveal for me.

5. Lame boss Fights
Degenerate Jay Deathstroke having a tank was the worse I was hoping like get him out and we fight....nope lol
5. Some side missions
4. Batmobile
3. Riddler garbage
2. Boss battles
1. The Arkham knight character
As soon as I saw that first Jason Todd flashback... I knew...
I knew when they announced Red Hood as DLC
I always hate the cobra tanks, sneaking around in a tank and creeping up to the back of a cobra tank in order to destroy it just didn’t seem like something batman would do
One also thing they did wrong is riddler Coming back I just want a new villain I don't wanna see riddler anymore
Like if you agree
E God I don’t know bro , is it really an Arkham game if there are no riddles ?😂
Phantom 314 """riddles"""
I agree Riddler does get annoying but they can keep him just without as many riddles
How to make the riddler actually fun and interesting:
Step 1: Get rid of his awful dialogue where he moans or sounds glitchy
Step 2: Change his motives, where he tries to undergo practical ways of outsmarting batman. Make it so he tries to have definitive proof of being more intelligent
Step 3: Make all riddler trophies dissapear, and make it so that the riddles are more prevalent, as that makes more sense
Step 4: Reduce the amount of these, so that there is more joy out of completing it instead of frustration
ROCKSTEADY ADDS TO MUCH RIDDLER TROPHIEs
Imo the weirdest thing about making Jason Todd the Arkham Knight is I feel like if they were gonna shoehorn any character into the role, Damian Wayne would've worked much better to fit here especially in context of the Arkham series.
I want to watch this but I can’t rip in pepperonis
Is the video not working for you!?
@@DegenerateJay no apparently he just died
Facts, the batmobile was fun ngl but it made batman overpowered
Jason.”
