I've been following you for ages and like you videos, keep it up. But dam you sir dam you a second time. The 56mm1.4 w/r is by for my fav lens, it is just wonderful and blows me away with the photos I can get from it. I dam you for putting up this videa because at the moment I am on a cycle tour from Mexico to Argentina and what do you know about a week ago while taking pictures of a volcano in Nicaragua 3 guys stopped and robbed me :-( Gone is my XT-4 and my loved 56mm. Cheers for putting up this video (dam you). Can't wait to get another one :-)
Thank you for the long time follow. I am so sorry to hear that you got robbed. I hope that you have insurance or that the people who did that get arrested and that you get your gear back! You did not get hurt also I hope?
@@ThierryGibralta I'm all good thanks, just insurance for breakages not for theft, I will never learn. So it's back the the UK for me and an upgrade to the XT5, and another 56mm, very much my fav lens.
I use this lens to get beautiful pristine results out of the camera, and instead of switching to a wider focal length I'll often try to make panoramas with the 56. The lack of linear motors is disappointing, but they claim that the focus group moves 8 elements, which probably affected their decision. I heard that the Viltrox's 75 is even sharper, but that lens weighs 50% more than Fuji's 56, and the 56 is already pushing my comfort limit at 445g.
Weight is definitely a big factor for myself as well. I don't want to buy a lens if I know I won't want to use if it slows me down. Mobility is a big factor.
You wanna say 1.2 ? I have the Sigma 56 1.4, it’s good but not the same league that this one, particularly on colors. Kudos for this purchase really. 👍
Returned mine immediately. Much too loud and too slow. Unacceptable at this price point for me. Waited such a long time for it to replace my 50/1.0. The Viltrox 75/1.2 isn't as noisy.
I just bought this. At first I didnt like it and regretted to buy it instead of 35mm. it too close. But after few days of experience, it really amazing. I love it and always bring and use it for most of the time. Good: sharp nice photo, nice light, nice aperture!! Bad: focus quite bad. Not good for photography and video
What do you think about the XF56mmf1.4?
happy medium 🔥📸🔥
56 mm 1.2 WR is my favourite lens for family events paired up with X-T5 . Best made purchase for unforgettable memories .
I love this lens!!!
Welcome to the 56mm club buddy! Love that lens and as you said is only for special occasions
Love this lens!
One that produces beautiful images. A lot more to test though!
Stunning pictures 👍

Glad to hear you are ok@@barrywarner455 .Take care!
technically the best lens in the fuji lineup. would have been perfect with the LM motor

What I don't like on this 56 v2, is that the focus ring is too smooth and sensitive. On the 18, 33 is much stronger and more viscous.

Did I say 1.4 at one point? My bad 😆
@@ThierryGibralta 😂

Do you have in your plans to test Viltrox (27 and 75)?

No infinite money here hehe
