    I used to be a compulsive do-er and achiever, which led to major burnout and a subsequent intense spiritual awakening. Now I’m slowly emerging and trying to figure out where to start with all the things that have been on hold because of this over the last few years. This video was timely and oh-so-helpful. ❤️✨

    Im among the ones who is still struggling to get my engineering degree because of this issue , i should have already cleared engineering 2 years ago and came out of college but im still stuck in college because i couldn't clear my subjects . If i sit down to study something inside gets triggered so badly that i go mad , insane and get angry. It was so much worse last year that i couldn't even clear 1 exam , i have been on my spiritual journey on a conscious level for about 4 years now and the healing process doesn't really care if you have exams or not , ive had all my pains ,insecurities and fears surfacing that it almost made studying an impossible task. I developed addictions in a bad way as a result such as binge eating, scrolling on phone for hours together and others. Its been very hard.

    It’s called ADD for me. I would daydream a lot at school and miss out on the whole class. My grade 12 year book says “what did we do at school today”. I didn’t even do that. People just knew me enough to put it in there. I have a lot of projects on the go. I get bored easily. Fun life.

    Big P procrastination :
    Some sort of fear, judgement. Learnt behavior, form of stress relief. A form of self preservation or protection. To keep you safe. Trauma response to avoid uncertain territory.
    Could be fear of failure, making mistakes. Coping mechanisms used to avoid uncomfortable emotions.
    You're not lazy, undisciplined, lack of time management.
    Flight, fight and freeze. Freeze means you're doing small tasks but paralysed in doing big ones.
    Spiritually : strong wounded energy field. The pain body. Old but very much alive. It can be triggered anytime it perceives danger.
    2. Weak or less energetic solar plexus.

    I procrastinate all the time. But I've also developed a condition called "executive dysfunction". It is a more extreme form of procrastination. I can see and know that I have a task or thing I need to do (in some cases it can even be partially completed), but my brain and body LITERALLY doesn't give me the mental and physical energy required to do it (or finish it).
    I don't procrastinate because of fear of the unknown, or possible judgment from others (I don't care what others think of me or the choices I make in my life) but because my body DOESN'T LET ME! It's exhausting every day.

      It’s so exhausting and the time and mental energy used to beat myself up while thinking of all the calamity I had caused myself through this executive dysfunction. It feels like being in a physical fight every single day. The word tired doesn’t cover it. I’ve got burn out from the burn out.

    Hi Christina - I'm in the 5% who hardly ever procrastinate. Why? Because I'm too afraid of being late, missing out, forgetting completely, and looking like an idiot than I am challenged by the task at hand. That doesn't mean I do the 'thing' completely right out of the starting gate; but more than likely, I will break it down into smaller pieces and do as much as I can, as far in advance as I can. For example, tomorrow I will be on the road early, so this evening I will make my breakfast sandwich, as well as my portable lunch and put them in the fridge along with my juice and water. My clothes will be laid out ready to jump into, and the other things I will need for the day I have already put in my car. What others think of my "over-preparedness" is of NO concern to me, because I remember a time when I didn't do this kind of prep, and for sure, my alarm would fail to go off or the power would have gone off through the night (!), there was no hot water for a morning shower (!), and all things that could go wrong, did go wrong so that by the time I reached my destination, I was completely frazzled and therefore, unable to do my best. This is a good example of learning from experience. I absolutely HATE having to rush, at anything, so I prep myself well in advance . . . and just pray that the stars align and I hit all the green lights!

      @@ResPieces From experience, I have learned to work backwards, i.e. start with your end goal then work backwards with all the step you need to do to get to your end goal.

    Hmm interesting...my reason is being/feeling overwhelmed (too much to do so I don't do anything 🙈) and boredom (majority of the things i need to do do not give me joy so I have trouble making myself do it)

    I’m an artist and a really skilled one but it’s been an year that I have created anything because I keep procrastinating but even when I somehow push my self to get my sketchbook or pencil, I feel this huge uneasiness and scary feeling in my gut that I quit it before starting and as I’m typing this msg I can feel that same scary energy in my gut. It pushes me more into guilt that I’m not being productive.

    I started to watch this video with skepticism. Because I've heard it all before. But now I'm glad because you DID have a plausible take on procrastination! For now I'm motivated to work on this aspect of myself again. I still hold skepticism though. I know I know, don't do that! My biggest problem is that I lack the self discipline for housecleaning. The clutter keeps piling up even though I know I should clean. I simply, just, do not want to do it. I want someone else to do it. Until I can afford a housekeeper, I know I need to work on this right now. I should love myself enough to have a clean home.

    I’m 54 & a worse procrastinator than I ever was. And I came to this video seeing EXACTLY 777 likes and that’s the 2nd great synchronicity of my day 😊✨
    & I took a screenshot as I normally do if it’s a synchronicity I see online like this❤️
    Also I follow most of these people you mentioned and including Dr Nicole (Holistic Psychologist) and she’s been freaking awesome in helping me understand how my childhood traumas manifested themselves in ways in my adulthood in ways I didn’t know it was bc of those traumas!!

    Makes so much sense! My 3rd chakras / lower dan tien has been weak (gone through 4 years of dark night of the soul) . Physically I’m always cold and have major digestive issues. I need to move to a new place but when I start thinking just where to start (I live in L.A.) I get extremely fatigued and my brain freezes. Thank you, I needed this!

    For the past week, I’ve procrastinated on some things that I know I’m on the cusp of changing my life for the better with. I’m identifying where this comes from, and I’m also trying to avoid over exerting myself, messing up, or just doing more than is needed. I’m finding balance.
    Recently, I asked God/Universe for a huge change in my life. One that I know is possible with the right level of awareness, but I’ve understood over time that it requires these pains to be addressed in order to make the shift. However it’s challenging to not revert to negative self-talk. Feeling like a f*ck up for allowing my traumas to damage me this much, or to take so long to heal. I always wonder if I’m doing enough and if I can discern the difference between rest and procrastination.
    Thank you for elaborating on the topic, both the scientific and spiritual sides.

    I've been in a functional freeze state for a year now. Every day I force myself to get up to go to a job that I don't enjoy and come home. I have been unable to get myself to do much more than that. It's debilitating.

      You deserve to go to work with a light feeling. Be it your current job or maybe a new one which is more fulfilling for you. Find out what make you resist going to your current job. Often it's not even the job itself but the resistance you build towards specific events/people or emotions.
      It's like taking cold shower of course we are afraid of it and resist. Yet if you just stay still and let it in, magically even that cold shower feels enjoyable with time.
      Over the time you build up a resistance for your job. Look closely why and turn it around like you did back then when you decided not to enjoy it.

      @@iuinshine5213 Such good advice! I'm so frustrated with my job these days, I procrastinate all kinds of things. I am a professor. The thing is, I love my students when they are standing in front of me and I want to be an amazing professor for them. I've realized lately that what I hate is being undervalued, underpaid (severely underpaid) and overworked. I have no leverage, no way to negotiate better pay. It becomes difficult to separate how I feel about how I'm being treated by the institution from the work itself. I just feel angry at this place all of the time, but I don't feel like I can leave for a variety of reasons. I'm working on leaning into the work itself and building new revenue streams outside of work that will still benefit my overall career trajectory.

    2:10 I never procrastinate before, not in spirit realm not here. But just since "spiritual awakening" actually meeting myself as multidimensional being, I started procrastinating in this realm, specifically because now I know there is not such a thing as a negative consequences except my own punishment. 😅😊 writing this I realized that it's not procrastination because, I am just discarding plans I set, that I thought would be giving me happiness, but my intuitively thinking of now don't allow me mess up my life if not for the highest good of all.

Even when I was a kid, I would make myself do things just to get them out-of-the-way knowing I would have more fun for what I wanted to do but recently, I’ve been procrastinating does not feel like my energy thanks for the video it was absolutely due to a form of self preservation.     I was a huge procrastinator for the majority of my life. It wasn't until I had my Kundalini Awakening that I turned my life around. It was like flipping on a light switch and since then everything has changed. Since then I have had an internal drive for a life full of abundance and release from the financial prison that the system has us locked in.

    This is definitely where I am struggling right now a couple Big Ps. I felt called to a very large endeavor after my own kundalini awakening. Its something I have never done before to any degree, which I recognize might also shift other things like my long term relationship. The inner critic is catalyzing, stuck in freeze mode. This is one of the hermetic laws the law of action. I will try these tips. Thanks Christina! 💫 ❤

    I'm not a procrastinator! Because I don't like having stuff hanging over me. I like just knocking it out asap, but at a comfortable pace. I just love feeling free. I've always been this way.

    Thanks for answering my question about being in paralysis. Following the death of my husband, I was unable to move and frequently experience more temporary paralysis but it’s just so many shocks and changes. It’s just overwhelming.

    This sounds like me.i think im going through a spiritual awakening. Ive been on a spiral and Rollercoaster for 3yrs. I decided it was time to sell my house as getting on now and can't keep up with maintenance etc.but i freeze everytime I try to take the next step of putting it on the market. Stomach upsets, sometimes heart palpitations, alot of stress etc. Head says it's the best thing to do but heart doesnt agree. Also have alot of work stress too.ive been on the spiritual path for 20yrs.and at moment working on innerchild and Chakras.feeling tired and exhausted,overwhelmed. If i dont sell now i will miss out on a flat that i can have shortly. So also feel presure to have to do it now. Usually my intuition tells me by way of, i just know. Now i have the flu. Helpful thoughts welcomed.

    Especially now with the ascension symptoms feeling sick headaches low low energy high anxiety at night interrupting my sleep and waking up almost every dang night at 3:00 am just wanna lay in bed till the afternoon then ready for bed at 8:30 9:00 and I’m an entrepreneur with very high creative energy and yes highly spiritual with many spiritual gifts this is very frustrating and depressing for me but trying my best to not be hard on myself take care of myself and just go with flow of this ascension❤️✨

    Thank you for this. I honestly didn’t know useful this would be (sorry!), but I couldn’t believe the insight this gave me. I felt things in my energy field while watching this that I’ve never felt before. It explained so much to me. Things I’ve been struggling with for years.     Insomnia can also be a reason for not having enough energy throughout the day.
    Often it's part of spiritual gaining of knowledge and education (overactive pineal gland).
    And sometimes (like starseeds, chosen ones, and other lightworkers) you have spiritual enemys, in some cases jealous people even in your family that use low frequency methods to try to pull you down.
    In my case "they" are part of religion and past the way while the official world war times..
    Having some wild collected valerian-herb (raw) turned to a syrup that recovers sleep schedule after a few weeks.
    Other herbs (wild collected and raw ones) can also bring some good ballance against types of blockages.

    We all are in our own way it can be over whelming but am working on small area spend 10 minutes put things away back in order & Mimi cleaning & I keep maybe 3-4 days of mini cleaning & I see it’s working 👍🏻
    Now to apply it to other areas of my life good info

    Great to see this nervous system work here regarding procrastination. Safety is number one for our systems and doing allsorts of different things can bring this on board down to a cellular level which our beautiful little ones absolutely love and need to survive to the best and keep us strong healthy and safe.       She said you need to ground yourself and regulate your nervous system first before you can do anything else. So yes, stop scrolling social media but replace the numbing procrastination activity with something that gets you out of fight/flight/freeze response that isnt addictive (meditation, deep breathing etc)

    Christina, every time I see one of your videos, it helps me sooo much! About 5 years ago, I was going through an intense spiritual awakening not realizing that is what was happening. I was listening to music on RUclips with autoplay on and then one of your videos started playing after a song so I thought "what the fuck is this shit?" because it wasn't music. Then I listened and everything made sense and I felt so relieved. It's been a long journey and I don't watch your videos much but when I do, it resonates with me and helps me a lot. I really appreciate you sharing your wisdom with us, it really speaks to me. Thank you so much! 🙂❤️

    Thank you! I am making my list of authors that can help with personal awakening/growth and your reference material is great! It's funny how each and every step in the right direction is eventually given a nod from the Inner Divine by environmental and or relational constructs after the lesson is learned and this particular video hit home for me. My procrastination reflex is my survival mode and it needs to be taken to the next level to address and become the greater version and to be a constructive part of the bigger picture.
