@Mr. Boosted I'm think about going to UNOH to get a job in Monster Jam. What classes should i take first and should take in the future. Thank you anything will help me out.
UNOH isn’t a part school 😂😂😂 it’s kind of a sausage fest tech side is prob 90% guys and the only birth control you need when it comes to the girls in business side is one of those shop shirts
So I was wondering about living off campus but is the crime bad as they say in Lima??? But I definitely want to go and get a job in NASCAR or Monster Jam
This is a dumb question but is there any homework assigned of some sort? 😂 I ask because I’m looking into the school for Auto tech and high Per. However my mom lives an hour north and I would plan on living with her and commuting to class. I can deal with a little homework but I just don’t want a lot after class is over at 6 and I have an hour drive home to start more work 😂 I know dumb question
This is an older video I know but I'm watching all these I can because I just got my acceptance letter today 😅 I start January 2021 and this is honestly a dream come true for me
Does doing the racing club like Autocross and Drag club help you get in the race tryouts? And how do you try out? Also can I be transferred here? I am from California.
Hey Mr.boosted I'm watching your vid i am looking to go to unoh for high performance and auto I go to auto shop for a high school class do race teams hire kids right out of the program? Is it cheaper to live on campas I'm from Michigan and not sure how everything works down there
So where did you end up getting a job at? My biggest concern is how hard is it to find a job on a racing team, whether it’s drag, circle track or road course. Did you have any friends that had success getting hired on for race teams, chassis shops, engine builders, etc?
I got a job right when I graduated at Monster Jam, but I ended up leaving that job and got a job at a restoration shop. You won’t have any issues finding a job. Two of my buddies are on a race team with Nascar. One is on a drag team. You won’t have a problem finding a job in your field!
@@mr.boosted9983 thanks, that's good to hear. I've got a government job that I absolutely hate. Been there 4 and a half years and it's not working out. Thinking about moving from home (AL) up to there to go to school. It's gonna suck starting life over at 25, but racing is the only thing I can think of doing that I'll actually like for the majority of my life. Only thing that might keep me from doing it now is the uncertainty of racing/automotive industry in the upcoming few years with everything going on in the country right now...
@@davidpassmorejr.5559 well if that’s what you want to do man do it! When I was in school there were people in their 40’s going to school so don’t let your age make you think it’s too late. I have a huge passion for performance and old cars that’s why I didn’t choose a racing career. There is tons of opportunities tho by going to UNOH
@@mr.boosted9983 how do those jobs pay? My biggest concern is salaries right now, I know it’s something that’s id love to do but right now I’m set to get a bachelors in engineering where I’d be making 100k and still could somewhat stay in the automotive field. I just really prefer the more hands on jobs and the experience unoh has to offer
i was accepted and starting in august of 2019, I plan on taking auto and highperformance. in your opinion should I take them both at the same time or hipo after auto
I also got accepted for 2019. I'll be in the same thing as you and Im honestly curious of the same thing you are. I plan on going for 4 years and it looks like a really good college for me. What are your thoughts on it?
Take them at the same time. For example The registrar will usually try and get regular steering and suspension and then high performance steering and suspension after which gets you in the flow etc.
Wastelandexplorer1 there pretty good, I just lived in a apartment. Almost all of them are okay with you being a college student cause half the city of Lima is college students
@@mr.boosted9983 I have some knowledge and experience on the basics but I don't exactly have someone to mentor me so thats awesome news. lol thank you.
Phantom X not a problem. I graduated from UNOH in June of this year and it was the best choice I ever made. I came out with so much more knowledge on things. Definitely check it out!
Feel free to ask me any other questions if I didn’t cover it in the video!
How did you deal with the tuition?
Mr. Boosted do they have a electrical program
Whats your opinion of the CP
dorms?

What about college parties?

bradywalker414 not a problem man! Just let me know!

I know their advertised price for the auto program is 21,440, is that a realistic number? So far I’m liking what I’m hearing about UNOH.
Yeah I’d say might be a bit more just depends on like how many programs you want to do and what kinda scholarships you get

Tyler Phillips I did when I first got on the team
Do you have to live in dorms your first year?
JarrettWestwick no
Mr. Boosted thanks. Also, if I were to go and graduate with high performance, are there many jobs locally in Ohio?
JarrettWestwick their is a few, you’ll find them more in Indiana, North Carolina, and Florida which is where I’m going
how do you become a driver on the dirt team
First you have try out for the team, then once your on the team they will have driver try outs
From your point of view, would you say UNOH turned down rookies with little to no experience?
Phantom X No, not at all. I’ve met people that didn’t even know how to use a ratchet here at unoh.
