Side note/FYI I'm pretty sure the WiiMote gets a firmware update during this process; and I've noticed mine behaving differently. Before, with the console off, if I press a button, it would flash for a while searching for a connection; now it flashes briefly then stops. I've also had it seem to refuse to turn on for no apparent reason; and I don't think it's just coincidentally becoming defective.
The wiring I did in mine. The silver looking wires are not bare, they have transparent insulation. www.facebook.c... - Наука
I recently re-setup the USB drive; this time I used only the WADs from the link that lists all of them. And apparently, if you only care about GameCube games, you can remove the SD card after setup.
Really interesting that the Wii technically supports native VGA output, i was gonna go Wii to HDMI to VGA but this might be a neater way to go about getting VGA out of a Wii.
Yes really intresting, but the wii need also some modefications
Very cool mod. The newer wii2hdmi adapter comes with a 3.5mm audio jack so that might even be a better solution for this mod. Thanks for the tutorial
Sounds like a great idea. Repurpose other pins instead of audio, and use that. Hell yeah.
How did you get Metroid prime trilogy to work? It crashes my Wii every time I start it, it might be because I’m using a newer version of rvloader
Edit: the game is broken on 2.0 I guess because 1.6 works just fine
Maybe. I didn't have trouble. Once I found the WAD files, I followed everything linked in description and it just worked. Are there different revisions of Trilogy maybe? just a shot in the dark guess.
If you could make a few of these cables for sale, retro gamers would love this as the Wii is one of the last analog focused game consoles.
how did you pop that thing out 6:56 ? mine wont budge at all lol
A knife. It's possible your cable is glued. Might need a dremel or a different cable.
@@Marc_Wolfe i just figured it out, need to add leverage from two side. thanks man
90 sub
i hate that you have the audio cables out the frount
... oh well
Can this mod output 480i? I need rgb on a NTSC but interlaced
I never tried. The forum can probably tell you.
Yes
very cool, any chance of showing your wiring? 🦞
I'll add a VGA pinout in the video description.
I realize you might have meant the physical job I did, a real world example. Check the pinned comment if you still want to see.
