I think it’s really strange that they restricted access to Kislev units for Ostankya until you establish a relationship/conquer other Kislev factions while simultaneously not adding a Hag lord. So you can’t recruit Kossars, Bear Riders, etc but your Ungol armies can be led by Boyars and Ice Witches?

Yes! Please give us an Ungol archer lord, like the Huntsmen but with a horse mount and area of effect reload and range buffs.
Not having access to so many Kislev units is going to be so annoying. She really needs some more new Ungol units to make up for it. She also needs a generic Hag Witch lord and maybe a generic Ungol lord.
I think a way to counter the lack is going to be alliance/sending a hero over to Kislev to start the process of being allied
One of her special powers up top is a teleport to a magical forest option. Could be used to get back to Kislev.
I hope mods are able to add these things, even though they shouldn't be expected to, the modders should come through for us!
Yeah I feel this, also think the army ability for hag witches is weird. The reduced attrition seems basically useless. Thought she would be increasing mobility by potentially making lands easier to cross

Damn after Yuan Bo i was ready to buy this dlc. And then Rob delivered his threat... Ostankya looks cool, like probably the most fun of the 3. But I'm not leaning into their attitude, plus when i saw that Kislev almost got nothing in therms of a rework... I got even more disappointed, like i wasn't expecting a greenskin or a Beastmen rework type, but i expected way better than that...

She needs an ungol hag lord, not a hero. Makes no sense to have her armies running around being led by ice witches. Then again, that's more of a lord system problem in general, it's never been good. I like that she feels more unique like Drycha since she can use beasts the Kislev roster doesn't get access to, but only has limited access to the regular kislev roster. They could have given her access to reskinned kossars and dervishes called "ungol raiders" or something of the like, like they did with Aranessa and the Sartrosa Militia and Free Company. But they don't seem to have put too much effort on the campaign side of things this time around

I really respect that you skip the end turn and load screens, it respects your viewers time and means they don't have to jump forwards constantly. I also find it amusing that giant spiders can't scale walls of major settlements! :D

She have Just not enough unique units to be a fun sub-faction, the DLC needed at least two more units and lord option. Shes basically a discount Drycha but that cost money unlike Drycha
Technically Drycha costs money iirc because you need the Sisters of Twilight dlc to play her. Corner me if I'm wrong, and even if she does cost money she's still less expensive than Mama Stanky Legs😂
I'm already calling it the IEB or just elemental beast. Whoever came up with the name was trying to hard IMO 😂
Hopefully they'll lock units when playing as orthodoxy or ice court. It's a neat mechanic that makes your initial choice of LL more meaningful imo
My head cannon is that the faction name's; The Ice Court and The Great Orthodoxy are purely in reference to the institutions that Katarin and Kostaltyn both respectively are at the head of. And that members from both institutions find themselves supporting with either Kostaltyn or Katarin autonomously and not collectively, under their respective institutions of service. For example; some Ice Witches may support Kostaltyn whilest still holding station on the Ice Court. Their reasons could be because they had assumed that Katarin would have been an easy puppet to manipulate, but proving more autonomous then anticipated, they see Kostalty's movement to challenge Katarin's rule as a convenient way to de-throne her and install a "better canadite" or perhaps Kostaltyn is better at addressing their motives (It would make sense that he would attempt to make important political allies). Where as on the contrary there are many Patriarchs who perhaps hold loyalties to Boris Ursus, the original Supreme Patriarch and Katarin's father. and find it in Kislev's best interest to stand united under her regency. Remember that the "civil war" is all internal and political, biding for supporters. After all, neither faction can actually declare war on each other.

Finally Mother Ostankya is released. Now let's see Heir play as the Stank Mother... all the way in Naggarond for some reason.
The faction itself is nice but the campaign is meeeh. The starting location could be somewhere near chaos wastes and fight norsca and various chaos factions. Later kislevite factions and empire maybe vampire lords, beastmen, etc
All these ancient characters always make one wonder what they looked like when they were young... did she always have such terrible posture, for instance? :P

Looks like an interesting campaign, i dont understand the naggarond atart but i like it! Always fun to have new lords and i like the push to new units like Drycha .
On the coat aspect, i feel the same as you Heir i can afford it and dont buy many games so i get my moneys worth, i think its more the jump in cost than anything else, a few more new units would help too

Also I know that Wendigos originate from folklore of the American Plains, which the elemental incarnate clearly takes it's inspiration from.

I wonder if you can use the Purification Chant on non-owned settlements? Like maybe use it on some N'Kari settlements to help the High Elves?

It really feels like she should have access to the horse archers, because that's what the Ungols are really known for. Though I had always assumed that the dervishes, and archer kossars were all Ungols and I know they're all white in-game, but apparently Prince Yuri is an Ungol, so... I guess you could argue he has some Turkish/North Asian features or that his family married into Gospodar blood but yeah I guess I was wrong. Fingers crossed that this means we will get an Elite Ungol horse archer unit (maybe an AP crossbow like the Akshina) and also an Ungol archer lord, like the Huntsmen but with a horse mount and area of effect reload buffs.

Can Mother Ostankya teleport or get a dilemma allowing you to take control of one of the Kislev cities? If not, how are you supposed to unlock the rest of her roster?
The incantations at the top, one of them is a teleport to a magical forest. That could bring her back to Kislev fast.

So you have like 10 total units to beat the whole frigging game with unless you conquer or confederate Kislev? This is so half baked for a DLC faction, it's honestly unbelievable
I never like it when the starting units include all the new units for that faction. Feels like there isn’t anything to strive for.

I really like these offshoot factions that encourage you to play differently from the overall larger faction they belong under.
so far in this DLC to me it goes like this ---> Yuan Bo, Mother of the Stank XD, changeling, i'm not very happy with how the changeling is, having a campaign that you basically can't lose is kind of boring
Edit- i'm not sure if you know, you probably do, but a few patches ago, they changed how you get xp, the more units killed, the more xp
I don't get why people are pissed about changeling that can't be defeated, do you lose a lot of your campaigns? I feel i never lose one and i'm not that great of a player... sooo What's the deal?

As far as my thoughts on the campaign, her campaign looks good. The lack of a hag lore or hag leader is really disappointing. I pre-ordered this DLC on day 1, however I have since refunded it, and will not be supporting CA until they put out a proper response with some form of compromise.
This game is CA's biggest success. They are fools for threatening its continued support.

With all the complaints about the cost of the DLC, maybe CA could have a season pass that would include one or two DLCs and maybe a few new Lords. I like having the season pass on another game I play. Love your videos. Keep them coming
The new dlc looks a little half baked I don't like CAs new trend, they really could make this the best game ever I fear there leadership is just in it for money
