If y'all weren't already freaking out over Adam's genius, have you realized yet that he's the one doing all of those ethereal high tones?!? Lol They basically set him free on this one and he went wild! 😳 👍❤😉🎶
Yesterday Home Free released "Brother." I think y'all will get a real kick out of it. Home Free has Behind the Scenes videos on Patreon. I enjoy watching those.
I swear to God, Adam Rupp is an actual wizard making magic. How else do you explain how Home Free raises the bar every single time and then goes ahead and surpasses it? The consistency with which they put out stellar videos is almost supernatural. Austin's lead was superb. His voice soared so strong he could have knocked drones out of the sky. Tim's bass line was absolutely inspired. Rob and Chance's harmonies were as rich and tasty as a Thanksgiving dinner. But Adam! Gees! He beat boxed the hell out of this song. So damned good. He's always adding new and creative elements to his repertoire. What makes this cover so impressive is that the original had a plethora of instruments. Home Free has 5 voices. I can't help being enthusiastic. These guys just do it for me. I love their simple videos, too. BUT their cover of Brother is anything but simple and it is epic!!! Can't wait for you to react to that.
Home Free kicked ass again!!! Think about it...The Doobie Brothers used guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals and other instruments to create this iconic song. 50 yrs later HF had only Adam and their own vocal talents to make it a classic once again. Loved all the new sounds Adam added and am glad to see the bandanas are back. He looked like he really had fun in this video. Now you need to check out the video they just dropped yesterday called Brother. It's just as spectacular as this one. They raise the bar with each song and then leap over it like Olympic high jumpers.
This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, but for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it!! The vocal percussion/vocal sounds is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. And I haven't even mentioned his appearance yet. He's so handsome. I do like that he has his hair a bit longer again and then with that bandana on. Love it, love Home Free💖
If you want to see behind the scenes, Home Free has released several of them called From the Vault. They have a BTS for every video, but the new ones are only seen by their Patreon's. My suggestion From the Vault would be of their Sold video. Great reaction guys!!!
There are vault videos for How great thou art,Hillbilly Bone,Try Everything,Thank god I am a country boy on RUclips they release a new from the Vault first Monday of every month and also Mayday from the Vault
Now I can't wait for you guys to review the one they dropped yesterday, y'all will be in stitches over the visuals, but the music is amazing too!! these guys = too freakin' much !!!!
Great review of this Doobie cover. As a baby boomer, I saw the Doobies in concert many many times in the 70’s. Home Free did the original proud and gave it a fresh update. Loved your review.
Love your reaction! Now I’m going to reiterate what others have said, that you must check out their new one,”Brother”. The vocals, as usual, are stellar. And Adam is the “hero” in it.
They have a Home Away From Home series. There is one titled "We are making an album" that has some of the record process in it. It is about 9 minutes long. Also there is a behind the scenes for God Bless The USA with some. Episode 6: Adam's Place shows a little bit of how Adam records the beats.
You talked about hearing more from Adam Chance, well, let me tell you, check out their cover of Cover Me Up.... Chance is amazzzzzzzing in this one.... Love all your reactions!!!
This was absolutely fantastic. Like everyone else is saying please react to Brother I will warm you to buckle up for it because you might fall out of your seats. From my understanding it was Adam Rupps baby can't wait for you guys to hear it
I can't wait til you guys see their newest one Brother, just released. The song is great and the video is hilarious. Great stuff as always guys! On another note, pls send halp to Florida, I'm burning alive. Kthx
Beginning with Chance's first video Try Everything, Home Free began a series titled From the Vault. Each episode has behind the scenes of the making of each video. They always are having fun. You will really enjoy the How Great Thou Art episode.
The high notes are from Adam Rupp, if you watch when all five of them are together. There is a video of them in the studio I'll have to look for it and let you know. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song. They brought out a new one yesterday called Brother.
You can check out their Home Away from Home playlist....if you want to see more behind the scenes. Usually the behind the scenes stuff is more related to the tours or music videos.
It’s a great rendition of the Doobie Brothers song. SO much fun. Adam killed it. Loved Tim’s low notes too. I love your shirt, I Believe in Heroes. You need to wear that during their newest video Brother….it’s hilarious and you’ll love it. 😄🥰
The guys really did this song so well. Austin amazing, Tim, Rob and Chance excellent. Adam Rupp over the top good. The newest one you know by now is Brother.
Home guys definitely got eveverything you hear. I do love hearing all their voices and abilities are mixed intto the vids. I saw live here in MT and they are a real deal.
There are a bunch of Home Free behind the scenes videos, they're called "From the Vault" episodes 1-14. There are also videos of duets with Tim Foust and Austin Brown "What's It To You" and "My Maria" that are amazing. There's another that was filmed with Texas Hill of "Dreamer". If you haven't seen it (depending on your predilection for country music), it's wonderful.
I had thought after a couple years of listening to Home Free I had finally gotten to the point that I wouldn't be shocked by the things Adam Rupp can do with his voice. Then they released this one.
Too many good things to point out... Rob with backing vocals was perfect on the chorus. Tim as the human bass guitar. And, of course, Adam! Dang! Great reaction! Chris' beard is coming along nicely.
The Doobie Brothers had four singers each playing guitars, and two percussionists on separate drum sets. Home Free has a LOT of sound to fill in here, and they nail it!
You guys need to connect with Darren Rust, their producer / arranger / engineer / resident magician. They refer to him as Home Free's sixth member. He is totally off the charts talented. Want to know how they got that sound? Want to know how all those quarantine tracks came together so flawlessly? Talk to Darren. Check out his group The Blenders as well.
This is my favorite song by Home Free besides Mayday,Garth Brooks Ain't going down til the Sun Comes Up, and Helplessly Hoping by Crosby stills and Nash they covered these songs beautifully.. Love Home Free I love my Boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can never get enough of Home Free. They are just awesome! I enjoy watching y’all react to them. Y’all are awesome too! Adam really did a great job with this one. But then he always does. Can’t wait to see you react to the new release “Brother” As always love from Alabama ❤️
I think it is so awesome that they take an old time rock song by The Doobie Brothers from 1972 and put their own modern twist to it. This is so special of them to pay homage to this classic song and breathing new life into it for the newer generations to experience. I would be honored if I were The Dobbie Brothers, they really did this song justice. As far as Adam goes, IMO he is just getting better and better with every song and video they make! He has always been amazing but at this point he keeps surprising us all with new sounds in his percussion bag of tricks lol I am going to see them live in Sept. and can not wait! I would love to see you both react to a song cover they do called Cover me Up, Chance is the lead singer in this one and kills it and the video is really really good also. Great reaction from you two as usual so thanks for that.
There were a couple of How we did it videos among their earlier stuff, but as I recall, those were centered around the video, not the musical production. They went to the separate recording model when Covid hit. They must have liked it.
Great reactions, guys! I knew y’all would love it! This was a fantastic cover! It draws you in with the slow jam at first and kicks into 4th gear. These guys just have it all and bring their A game every time! I know other mentioned below, but you definitely should react to their newest video cover of “Brother”. It’s an epic video like no other they’ve done before it. The song was written by brothers in the Rock Christian group NEEDTOBREATHE. Gavin DeGraw recorded another version with them and took lead. Trust me! You’ll love it!
We knew you guys would love this one!!! I loved this song when it was current by Doobies and i love it more with Home Free! And Adam is such a stud!!!!
How have you guys not done Home Free’s “Country Fried Pop Medley” or their “Butts Remix”? I could only imagine your reactions to those two for sure! You two would have quite a time I’m sure!
You're gonna love this, they came out with a new one yesterday that you really need to see. You will laugh your ass off and love the song to death at the same time.
You need to check out HF's Vault Series which in most cases shows the behind the scenes of specific songs they have done. I believe they are up to 13 now. They are usually around 15 minutes long.
They make a behind the scenes video for very video they make. You can watch them on patron or they release a “from the vault “ on the first Monday of the month.
I literally had to watch once and then play it again and close my eyes to listen to the vocals! I swear I've watched that video at least 50 times... it's brilliant! Love Amberley wacking Austin! 🤣
If you're looking for studio things, rather than the From the Vault series, which is basically BTS for the video shoots, you want Home Free - Country Evolution (Behind the Scenes) - which was their last album with Chris Rupp in 2015 and Home Free - We're Making An Album - which is actually about their last Christmas album, Warmest Winter, which they recorded early in 2019, and was the last time they did a traditional, all visiting the same studio, album recording.
If you haven't already heard Home Free's collaborations with Kenny Rogers (Children Go Where I Tell Thee), the Oak Ridge Boys (Elvira) and Jeffrey East & the Oakridge Boys (Beautiful Star of Bethlehem) - you've gotta watch those. By the way, mishearing the lyrics to a song is called a mondegreen (i.e. CCRs song Bad Moon where people heard there was a baboon or bathroom on the right).
They show some behind the scenes recording in their home free away from home series, but it’s limited.it’s more tour rehearsal and general getting to know them off stage. They release behind the scenes for all their videos on Patreon and are releasing older ones to all in the From the vault series. Enjoyed the reaction as usual. Love Home Frees version of this. They just released Brother which I think you guys will get a kick out of the video.
Check out God Bless the USA featuring Lee Greenwood. There's a making of that recording as well as one of American Pie. Also God Bless Texas but they did that with them all in the recording booth at the same time because it was a fund raiser and needed to be released as quickly as possible. Did you hear the clear high note Adam was hitting in the beginning and during the breakdown while Austin was singing and the others were doing the oooohs
There is a "Behind the Vault" series that is a behind the scenes look at the music videos. They also have a Home Away from Home series that takes you behind the scenes of their lives and touring (you get to see where they live - the one for Adam Rupp's house is funny!). They don't have the typical "making of song" one you all are talking about, but the others are pretty good.
From the Vault is behind the scenes of the videos. God Bless the U.S.A featuring Lee Greenwood and the USAF Band shows them doing the making of the song
So happy you guys did this reaction. I have been waiting. Now next up their nee release this past Friday..... Brother. LOL This video has a vibe. You just can't help but move. I remember the original by the Doobie Brothers. I was only 3 when the original came out, but having older siblings 6 to 19 years older than me, this was well played and Inwas dancing away as a tot! You guys are great to watch! Thank you!
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.
Next you guys need to watch is Hillbilly Bone, Sea Shanty Medley, Tim Foust singing Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, and Austin Brown's solo stuff.
If y'all weren't already freaking out over Adam's genius, have you realized yet that he's the one doing all of those ethereal high tones?!? Lol They basically set him free on this one and he went wild! 😳
👍❤😉🎶
Did not know that! Thanks!
Yesterday Home Free released "Brother." I think y'all will get a real kick out of it. Home Free has Behind the Scenes videos on Patreon. I enjoy watching those.

I can almost visualize it 😂
LOL yes me too, I can’t wait for that reaction to Brother. It has been on repeat here since it dropped. I hope you guys get around to it soon :)
no more to say you covered it all!
Putting Goosebumps on my Goosebumps!!!! Thanks Guys!!!
Home Free kicked ass again!!! Think about it...The Doobie Brothers used guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals and other instruments to create this iconic song. 50 yrs later HF had only Adam and their own vocal talents to make it a classic once again. In addition to all the amazing vocal percussion and weird sounds, Adam Rupp is doing those high notes in the backing vocals!
They're just so incredible 😍 ❤️
Now, we're begging & waiting for y'all to do their newest "Brother". It's hilarious & soooo good. 🥰🥰
Yes and kudos to the director Jimmy Bates who dreamed up the premise for the video.
This is simply excellent again!!
I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. Love it, love Home Free💖
Well... now they have released another new one. A cover called "Brother" , which is also great, of course.
You need to watch Brother! It is possibly their best video ever!!!
If you want to see behind the scenes, Home Free has released several of them called From the Vault. They have a BTS for every video, but the new ones are only seen by their Patreon's. My suggestion From the Vault would be of their Sold video. Great reaction guys!!!
All about that bass bts is quite entertaining... lol

Let the music play! Home Free is the best--and Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is just beyond belief❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
I'm so happy you did this one. ❤️ it's freaking awesome. They killed it ❤️🔥
You talked about hearing more from Adam Chance, well, let me tell you, check out their cover of Cover Me Up.... Chance is amazzzzzzzing in this one.... Love all your reactions!!!
Chance in the beginning section of their newest cover, "Brother", is absolutely fantastic!!
Chance is so good ... love it when he takes the lead !
This was absolutely fantastic. Like everyone else is saying please react to Brother I will warm you to buckle up for it because you might fall out of your seats. From my understanding it was Adam Rupps baby can't wait for you guys to hear it

Agree! Check out from the vault!
Yes Doobie Brothers! From 1970 whatever year in 1970's! I'm old enough to have danced to this at sock hops in school! Yeah I'm that old!
The high notes are from Adam Rupp, if you watch when all five of them are together. There is a video of them in the studio I'll have to look for it and let you know. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song. They brought out a new one yesterday called Brother.
Adam Rupp is making his own magic. (tongue planted firmly in cheek). Stellar reaction.
You are right. What can't they do. Love our guys.
You can check out their Home Away from Home playlist....if you want to see more behind the scenes. Usually the behind the scenes stuff is more related to the tours or music videos.

Home guys definitely got eveverything you hear. I do love hearing all their voices and abilities are mixed intto the vids. I saw live here in MT and they are a real deal.
Homefree is the best of the best acapella group,! They kicked it up another notch!
There are a bunch of Home Free behind the scenes videos, they're called "From the Vault" episodes 1-14. "Home Free making of "God Bless The USA" feat. Lee Greenwood and the U.S. Air Force Band" is a good one.
Home Free has a LOT of sound to fill in here, and they nail it!
they have a thing called the vault which is kind a cool.
That was awesome!!👏👏
Have a great Sunday from Greece!
Thanks Chris and Matt! Always an entertaining reaction - so much fun. 🖤🍟
Adam Rupp hitting notes higher than Rob or Austin! Those beginning and ending E5 notes are Rupp.
Try listening to Tim Foust singing his rendition of Frankie Valli's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" remix. You will be amazed at Tim's range.
The Doobies had 2 complete drum sets in their version, Adam did everything they did with his mouth! Doobies are a great bluegrass band

They actually just put another one that has come out! BROTHER! Adam Rupp has put his dungeons and dragons talent in place! Lol
There were a couple of How we did it videos among their earlier stuff, but as I recall, those were centered around the video, not the musical production. They went to the separate recording model when Covid hit. They must have liked it.
Look for " From the Vault" Home Free's making of the videos. Also Home Away from Home, tour footage and the guys at home.

It's about time you guys check out Tim's solo videos
Kudos to all the guys but WHOA Adam!!!!! Adam is blowing me away HOME FREE did a great job of modernizing this 1972 DOOBIE BROTHERS classic song.
You need to watch Brother which just released great video check it out!
They just released another one! Lol! I'm serious.
🍟Between Two Tim's...poor Chance, it was a great introduction to him for us and a taste of what he was in for by joining Home Free! ❤️🍟
Check out God Bless the USA featuring Lee Greenwood. There's a making of that recording as well as one of American Pie. The "Doobie Brothers"....Yeah, my favorite group of all time!!
Great role play and a great song!
Good stuff guys, but how have you not done Hillbilly Bone or the Butt's remix yet? Mind boggling that those aren't on yet LOL.
