I swear to God, Adam Rupp is an actual wizard making magic. How else do you explain how Home Free raises the bar every single time and then goes ahead and surpasses it? The consistency with which they put out stellar videos is almost supernatural. Austin's lead was superb. His voice soared so strong he could have knocked drones out of the sky. Tim's bass line was absolutely inspired. Rob and Chance's harmonies were as rich and tasty as a Thanksgiving dinner. But Adam! Gees! He beat boxed the hell out of this song. So damned good. He's always adding new and creative elements to his repertoire. What makes this cover so impressive is that the original had a plethora of instruments. Home Free has 5 voices. I can't help being enthusiastic. These guys just do it for me. I love their simple videos, too. BUT their cover of Brother is anything but simple and it is epic!!! Can't wait for you to react to that.

Home Free kicked ass again!!! Think about it...The Doobie Brothers used guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals and other instruments to create this iconic song. 50 yrs later HF had only Adam and their own vocal talents to make it a classic once again. Loved all the new sounds Adam added and am glad to see the bandanas are back. He looked like he really had fun in this video. Now you need to check out the video they just dropped yesterday called Brother. It's just as spectacular as this one. They raise the bar with each song and then leap over it like Olympic high jumpers.

I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, but for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it!! The vocal percussion/vocal sounds is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. And I haven't even mentioned his appearance yet. He's so handsome. I do like that he has his hair a bit longer again and then with that bandana on.

If you want to see behind the scenes, Home Free has released several of them called From the Vault. They have a BTS for every video, but the new ones are only seen by their Patreon's. My suggestion From the Vault would be of their Sold video. Great reaction guys!!!

They have a Home Away From Home series. There is one titled "We are making an album" that has some of the record process in it. It is about 9 minutes long. Also there is a behind the scenes for God Bless The USA with some. Episode 6: Adam's Place shows a little bit of how Adam records the beats.

Great reactions, guys! I knew y’all would love it! This was a fantastic cover! It draws you in with the slow jam at first and kicks into 4th gear. These guys just have it all and bring their A game every time! I know other mentioned below, but you definitely should react to their newest video cover of “Brother”. It’s an epic video like no other they’ve done before it. The song was written by brothers in the Rock Christian group NEEDTOBREATHE. Gavin DeGraw recorded another version with them and took lead. Trust me! You’ll love it!

There are a bunch of Home Free behind the scenes videos, they're called "From the Vault" episodes 1-14. There are also videos of duets with Tim Foust and Austin Brown "What's It To You" and "My Maria" that are amazing. There's another that was filmed with Texas Hill of "Dreamer". If you haven't seen it (depending on your predilection for country music), it's wonderful.
Home guys definitely got eveverything you hear. I do love hearing all their voices and abilities are mixed intto the vids. I saw live here in MT and they are a real deal.

I think it is so awesome that they take an old time rock song by The Doobie Brothers from 1972 and put their own modern twist to it. This is so special of them to pay homage to this classic song and breathing new life into it for the newer generations to experience. I would be honored if I were The Dobbie Brothers, they really did this song justice. As far as Adam goes, IMO he is just getting better and better with every song and video they make! He has always been amazing but at this point he keeps surprising us all with new sounds in his percussion bag of tricks lol I am going to see them live in Sept. and can not wait! I would love to see you both react to a song cover they do called Cover me Up, Chance is the lead singer in this one and kills it and the video is really really good also. Great reaction from you two as usual so thanks for that.
You need to check out HF's Vault Series which in most cases shows the behind the scenes of specific songs they have done. I believe they are up to 13 now. They are usually around 15 minutes long.
There were a couple of How we did it videos among their earlier stuff, but as I recall, those were centered around the video, not the musical production. They went to the separate recording model when Covid hit. They must have liked it.
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.
How have you guys not done Home Free’s “Country Fried Pop Medley” or their “Butts Remix”? I could only imagine your reactions to those two for sure! You two would have quite a time I’m sure!

The Doobie Brothers had four singers each playing guitars, and two percussionists on separate drum sets. Home Free has a LOT of sound to fill in here, and they nail it!

Home Free - We're Making An Album - which is actually about their last Christmas album, Warmest Winter, which they recorded early in 2019, and was the last time they did a traditional, all visiting the same studio, album recording.
The vault is where you would look for this. They just released Castlevon the hill.

Check out God Bless the USA featuring Lee Greenwood. There's a making of that recording as well as one of American Pie. Also God Bless Texas but they did that with them all in the recording booth at the same time because it was a fund raiser and needed to be released as quickly as possible. Did you hear the clear high note Adam was hitting in the beginning and during the breakdown while Austin was singing and the others were doing the oooohs

By the way, mishearing the lyrics to a song is called a mondegreen (i.e. CCRs song Bad Moon where people heard there was a baboon or bathroom on the right).
