It's the Moyes rollercoaster, good at being the underdog team creating a good season, no longer the underdog in a lot of matches, unable to find the right tactics to break teams down, resulting in a bad season. With a bad last season, West Ham revert to the underdog status so they're due a 7th/8th :)

I would love to see an episode in this series for PSV Eindhoven. Obviously slightly lower in terms of league they play in, but making up for that in interesting challenges. Having sold Gakpo, Madueke and others, with Xavi Simons possibly leaving in the summer and Brantwhaite unlikely to be loaned back to the club from Everton. Also having Peter Bosz as their new manager will mean a pretty big transition in playing style.
If they can keep Xavi, Veerman and Sangare and sign two new defenders they would be the favorites for the title imo. Its unlikely they keep Sangare tho
They signed Lang from Brugge as their first signing will be Gakpo replacement. Also Pepi the American striker from Augsburg is coming over. Sp probably with Bakayoko on the right. Their attack is done. Ramalho seems to be staying which is more because no one wants him. Sambo is commimg back from a decent loan at Sparta for right back. Boscagli is back next season after injuries. Which is huge. They probably need to get a new right back, center back and midfielder if they can find any. Guiterez went back to Mexico and there are still rumors about veerman and Sangare.
I think they can access data only for the top 5 leagues plus European competitions, but not the Eredivisie, so I don't think they could do one of these in this detail for PSV.

I guess it's just because he'd fit in well in the system. But there's no way they're getting him. He's going to go to some actually big club who needs a striker, because everyone seems to need one right now, PSG, Bayern, Chelsea, Man Utd...
@@tizioincognito1238they can but most top players still dont want to move a mid table team in the epl when they wait for a better team to sign them...
But to be fair to JJ i think it's pretty spot on. His level seemingly was Fiorentina, a level of club just under the top tier with good european runs sometimes. That is West Ham pretty much (without the european runs except for last year). They are in the Europa League next season so they will get stretched, and they need a better goal scorer than Antonio. Juventus was rumoured to be sniffing around Lukaku , and if West Ham manage to make a good offer for him (with the Rice money) maybe Juventus decides to sell him and right their wrongs. His wages from Italy to England shouldnt be an issue. And then West Ham have a player that will probably stick with them for a long time if they can build around him, because the big teams wont opt to go for a guy who has already kind of flopped at the biggest level, so you get to keep him. Plus, they could actually offer Scamacca to Juventus as well.

Great video JJ. I think getting two of Ward-Prowse, Zakaria, McTominay or Palhinha would make up a solid midfield. I'm still holding out hope that Scamacca can be our star striker if we tweak our tactics to play a bit higher up - Antonio is likely gone next year and we can't rely on him in this current defensive setup for the whole season.

Some very interesting options there. However, we have a tendency to overpay for average to above average players, a crop of which simply won’t work in the Premier League. Don’t worry, we’re used to it, but still, it seems to be our way of doing transfers. Occasionally you get a Bowen, but most of them turn out to be Nserkos, or Keanes.
There is no way in the current market where there are no strikers available and all the top teams still need strikers have you put forward Vlahovic for West Ham. If West Ham is your best option why even leave Juventus at that point
I think a sensible transfer for the hammers is Thuram the nice midfielder is a big lad with great potential he is a very good carrier and of keeping the ball and he is versatile cuz he can play in the am cm and dm so he could switch with Paquata and soucek he could be even better if you pair him up with a dm and paquata cause one play maker a Destroyer and a box-to-box midfielder (Thuram) he would probably be available for around 40-50 million pounds so he’s not cheap but imo definitely worth it
Hmmm the underlying numbers seem to suggest that they should have finished 11th/12th based on the actual numbers you showed on screen, not 14th. That would put them above Chelsea
I love Florentino but he is not as good on the ball as what the video suggests. In fact, he didn’t start most of the games at the end of the season because when under pressure he often makes mistakes with passes often coming up short. However, he is solid defensively. One of the best intercepters and great reading of the game. He’s improved significantly in his passing this season but still average at best when it comes to balls forward
McTominay is a great shout - would be available and a very, very underrated footballer. Profiles similarly to Rice in terms of being able to play as an 8, a 6 and a centre half if you are desperate. Similar body type, height, leadership skills, communication skills, engine, aggression, passion, ball-carrying skills, the ocassional goal. Pair him with a technical player like JWP and that is a very solid midfield pair. Would never have thought of McTominay personally and many will laugh at the idea of replacing Declan Rice with Scott McTominay but it absolutely shouldn't be sniffed at. Winning a trophy is the whole point though. Feels weird hearing the desired outcome is just "papering over the cracks". The cracks impeding what? A slightly higher midtable finish? Because they certainly didn't impede winning a European cup
@@NedTesco My thoughts exactly. Since I was 5 years old I've dreamed of West Ham winning a trophy and 20+ years, 2 relegations later it's finally happened and still doesn't feel real. I can confidently predict we won't be in relegation trouble this year but even if we were nothing can take away from the feeling of us finally going all the distance and bringing silverware back to the club after 43 years. That's what football is all about.
Can you do a Sensible Transfer video for Bournemouth? It's a completely new dynamic they have now under new coaching(Iraola), new ownership which has promised lots of investment(eg. new training ground facility, increased stadium capacity) and lots of new players to come. I was wondering if we could get a vid of your take on how they should approach achieving their goals of establishing themselves in the Prem and building for the future. It would be a fascinating case study. Love your content!
What do you make of Lucas Tousart? At 26 he has roughly 230 top tier appearances and plays winning the ball deep, carrying it box to box mostly. He was 2nd overall kms run last season in Bundesliga and leads virtually all midfielder stats for his team, arguably abysmal, Hertha Berlin - so that doesn't mean much. His forward passing isn't really effective which may have to do with the site. He'll give you about 6 goals per PL season, few to no injuries, know the relegation battle and will be a bargain, with Hertha eager to get him off the payroll after relegation, selling him for scraps, likely.
All memes aside, how sensible would Ibrahim Sangaré be? Great goal threat for more of a defensive mid (93rd percentile for non-penalty goals compared to all mids in the 5th to 12th ranked leagues), lots of tackles (81%ile), very progressive passing (91%ile), very good at dribbling (87%ile for successful take-ons) powerful, tall and good in the air (86%ile aerials won) and he's only 25 but not exactly the most expensive young prospect on the continent. He is also influencial in the oppo box (84%ile for touches there) but I'm sure he's more used to playing a deeper role, and that would free up Souček to do some box to box charge up and down things. Interestingly, compared to top 5 league midfielders, he's still 85%ile for non-pen goals, 82%ile for assists, 80%ile for successful take-ons and 99%ile(!!!) for tackles. He hasn't been booked or carded once in the last year. He has 0.2 goals per shot and 0.5 goals per on target shot (better than most strikers in Europe). He also switches the ball a lot which Moyesey might love lol. He's one of the better players in Europe at chance creation through dribbles and also fouls won. He's not only 99%ile for tackles attempted but also tackles won and dribblers dispossessed, so he'd be an excellent shield no matter how high up he plays. However most of his work is done in the defensive third which links into what I mentioned before about allowing Souček to roam. He's 99%ile for ball recoveries overall, and while he doesn't challenge much aerially in the Eredivisie, he is actually 95%ile for aerials won so he'd be even better at that than Rice. He seems better than Florentino Luís overall who, despite being better at intercepting, seems to mostly keep the ball and play tidy short passes, with more tackles in a higher block. I'm not sure if that's good for West Ham.
Please blur the players on the side, the suggestions. Sort of dampens the suspense a bit if you can straight away see who the Sensible Transfers are gunna be.
Arsenal have already made a number of sensible transfers, their summer now is mostly about getting players out the door and iirc there's a limited number of these sensible transfer videos that they can make so I don't think the Gunners made the cut
Personally I'd like to see them get McTomiany just because I'm Scottish and want to see him get more game time. I know he's not the most ideal fit for a Rice replacement but I think he'd do really well in a double pivot. He's a bit more like Soucek than Rice though so I don't think they would work well together, maybe McTominay and another more defensive minded player alongside him would be ideal.
Irony is Ibrahim Sangare would actually be a worthwhile fit.

Ibrahim Sangare?
Love the norm Mac Donald t shirt!
Vlahovic to West Ham on *Sensible* Transfers...okay.
player they would want, not one they'd actually get
What you don't know could fill a library, there are factors that account for our league position, one of which you addressed in the video. Well done.
What? A Tifo midfield rebuild without Ibrahim Sangare??
Can you do this again for this year
That Norm Macdonald shirt tho 👌
Why did they keep showing coufal when referring to soucek
You might need to edit the video to show Soucek when you mention him, rather than Coufal
Can you please do an episode for Inter? What srtriker should we sign?
You’ve put photos of Coufal multiple times instead of Soucek!
Who makes the pictures on the wall?
Great Video, I just loved all the suggestions! Very sensible, very well thought through!
Why would they show a photo of Coufal when JJ mentioned Soucek? Is that a ploy or something? 😅
Best outfit yet. RIP to the legend.
Flynn Downes shouldn't be overlooked in the midfield. A very talented young man.
I'd like to see Ward Prowse at Brentford.
How do you get all the stats plz
Vladimir Coufal is not Thomas Soucek, video editor.
It's a difficult one but would love to see sensible Transfer for Juve!
Okay, he's leaving for Union Berlin of all places.
RIP Norm 🥺💙.. and up the hammers ⚒️
Fair play suggesting Vlahovic with straight face
Gonçalo Ramos is also a striker with that profile, but it would also be very expensive
Love the McGrath jersey! Xavi and Henry and Messi are expected. Let’s get some more deep cuts for the background jerseys!
love the Norm Mcdonald tee
Really hoping we sign Ward-Prowse. Glad that Tifo also think he'd be a good fit
Surely they wouldn't be able to persuade Vlahovic to come though? I mean Juventus to West Ham for a 23 year old is not a move he'd be wanting to make.
Love JJ putting up a picture of Coufal when talking about Soucek 😂
Best video in the series this season so far.
Would Vlahovic be a realistic option though? He doesn’t want to leave Juve - and didn’t even want to join Arsenal…
Please blur the players on the side, the suggestions. Sort of dampens the suspense a bit if you can straight away see who the Sensible Transfers are gunna be.
You’ve confused Soucek with Coufal in your graphics…
Can you do vids for promoted team?
JWP makes sense but goals is the key. Broja on loan sounds ideal to us if he can do a similar job to what he did for Saints two years ago
Hey, can yo do one on why Tierney is not playing. He seems good to me
Two things in life are certain:
Death and West Ham buying an expensive striker each summer
Yeah we’ve not had that many expensive ones
I'm not a West Ham fan and even I know that you used pictures of Coufal instead of Soucek
You used a picture of Coufal instead of Soucek at least 2 times in this video 🇨🇿
Love the Norm T-shirt!!
Why did u keep showing coufal when talking about soucek
McTominay shouts are annoying me, do we want to charge for Europe or not ?
WHERE IS THE ARSENAL SENSIBLE TRANSFER VID😢
Arsenal have already made a number of sensible transfers, their summer now is mostly about getting players out the door and iirc there's a limited number of these sensible transfer videos that they can make so I don't think the Gunners made the cut
Personally I'd like to see them get McTomiany just because I'm Scottish and want to see him get more game time. I know he's not the most ideal fit for a Rice replacement but I think he'd do really well in a double pivot. He's a bit more like Soucek than Rice though so I don't think they would work well together, maybe McTominay and another more defensive minded player alongside him would be ideal.
Antonio talked about the tactic change in filthy fellas.
I think they should replace their manager. David Moyes has done all he can for West Ham.
Guy's just won em their first trophy in forever - he's earned a bit of time
@@NedTescohe’s shite
I love your norm t-shirt.
need that Norm top
