omg omg so mikael [elias's friend with the long hair] was ALSO in that school video of Even that Isak watched in s3. the sarah palin /captain america one lmao and remember mikael said in the video "im with my best buddy Even" and he went to the same school. this storyline is kinda important!
The colour scheme in this show, especially this season, is amazing. In particular with sana, the lighter her makeup/clothing is, the less guarded she is. And in the scene during the bus meeting where almost all the other girls are dressed in white while she is in black is to symbolize how different the girls are. You can see that Eva and Noora have some darker shades on as well during this scene, showing that they're on Sana's side. Keep an eye out throughout the season to see how the colours and mood adjust. Might be a little late since you are almost done the season now haha.
Even was friends with Elias before he was with Isak, that’s why Sana and Even were talking about her moms cooking. Isak at this point in the show doesn’t know that Even and Sana knew each other before that is why when he came along they change the subject.
Cesar In S3E3 (the neon party) you can see that Even knows Sana because he gives her a hug. A boy would never do that to an unknown Muslim girl.
i do think a lot of sana's standards are self imposed. she just has high expectations of herself. i think that's the crux of her character, no one forces her to do anything. she's not influenced by the whims of others.

about the episode. Mikhael was next to Yousef in that facebook photo Sana was looking at in class. so Isak was talking about him. Also he was the one in that video with Even at the very beginning of Season 3 where Isak was watching Even's video over and over again.
The subtle ways the story connects throughout the series and how it will continue to do so really makes me enjoy it a lot more. and if you caught vilde trying to use the excuse of a wine party that her mom is hosting,, again... its all subtle things thats going on in the background that will make more sense in the future...
i really really hope at least once in your lives,, you would go back and watch this show again. hopefully after reading the analysis posts on tumblr about the imagery, cinematography and symbolism ongoing throughout the series... knowing what you know by the end really leaves you in awe of the detailed themes and symbolisms that are subtly placed in perfect moments when you do watch it again. this show really is a masterpiece in my opinion.

I know you guys are episodes ahead and probably caught on, but it’s implied that Yousef *was* muslim (and comes from a muslim family) but he dropped religion / stopped believing in god a while back for reasons stated later in the show.
That’s probably also why Sana asked “what do you mean?”, because when they first met Yousef (since he’s been friends with her brother since highschool apparently) he probably identified as muslim where as now he doesn’t-so she’s genuinely confused and wasn’t aware of that change happening.

I'm Muslim and deeply relate to yousef because i used to be like him. I just didn't know my self so i didn't know what i believe in. after years of trying to figure out me I believe in allah. It is just could have been the other way but you just need to know yourself before trying to believe or disbelieve in something.

Very true. Alhamdullilah you made it back to the religion! It was the same for me. I had left it for years and resented it because of all the limitations placed on me as a girl growing up. Now I realize it was for the best because my mom was just trying to protect me from the messed up world we live in. But for me as well I finally found my way back to Islam and I haven't been happier since!
