Gary, you may have made a living as an actor but you have hidden talents when it comes to refurbishing cars. You have really impressed me and you produce a quality job. Very well done Gary
Gary, I really take my hat off to you and bow to your many talents. I had visions of you preparing the car and then sending off to a professional paint sprayers but not a bit of it - you ARE the professional paint sprayer! I would trust myself to spray a model car or a kid's pedal car but there's no way I would even contemplate painting an entire full-sized one! Much respect to you and thanks for providing us classic car nerds with a channel we enjoy watching. I admit that the only videos I don't watch right through are the Lotus ones. I've just never been a Lotus fan (stands by to be blocked from RUclips!) but with all the others - this one included - I'm hooked from beginning to end. All the best to you and thanks again.
Gary seriously that finish is unbelievable. Would love to pick your brain when I get round to having my Trans Am painted. Now tempted to paint her myself. Keep up the amazing work.
Thankyou! I aim to encourage people to have a go themselves instead of being beholden to cowboys. Most of it’s just common sense and a bit of patience Regards.
Blimey Gary, I wasn't expecting to be offered a full body respray today, but of course I am pleased to be able to witness another marvellous Mavers masterpiece - not only the fantastic quality work but the compilation of the video footage as well - WOW! Well done fella! Just like your paint dust, I'm blown away! And, it's LA man - who needs socks anyway?
I had the option of renting a spray booth but weighing up the amount of work hiring transport to take the car there and back as well as having to ferry over and use all my own equipment just seemed a lot more a faff. But doing it in a dusty environment definitely makes for a lot more work once the car is painted. Regards.
Hi Gary, what an immaculate job you made of the car. Your attention to detail is second to none, and you can tell by the finished article that you put your heart and soul into it. I hope you are proud of what you have accomplished with this car. Take a bow Gary, it’s very well deserved. Cheers🍺.
Gary nice job as a sprayer I know it is hard work take care from Gary from draycott Street left in 1983 when round to 463grafton Street left there in1993 love the place all the best Gary
Wow, nice job Gary, well done. The 190 is such a pretty car. I thought you were brave fitting the windscreen and bumpers by yourself, with the new paint. :)
What a pleasure to watch the transformation of this beautiful machine. If you ever fancy a trip over the peaks we’d be delighted to host you at one of our Steel City Porsche Cars n Coffee events in Sheffield our next event is Dec 7th it’s our annual charity toy collection for the local children’s hospital
Very nicely done! This makes me realize just how much trouble one could get into buying something like a Ferrari 330 GTC without a full mechanical and cosmetic inspection by a marque specialist.
Gary - you’re such a good lad ! Lying on your back to take off all that chrome trim before paint. Prepared to do ‘the hard yards’ to get the job done - that’s dedication and commendable work. Keep the content coming - I love it, thanks..
You have done a brilliant job. You have breathed new life into a piece of automotive art that will be appreciated for many decades more. A real joy Gary. Best wishes David
Great Job Gary once again,it really looks like you enjoy your work, hope your getting paid handsomely from your film producer friend and having a holiday at the same time.Cheers.
Been my only gun for ever but the plastic cup inside split after I blew in my repairs and edges so I had to buy a cheap gun from the hardware store to do the job! Parts for these classic JGA’s now so hard to find.Great guns. Regards.
Special video loved it! The transformation was just exceptional, such a lovely looking car. I really enjoyed the whole series well done Gary super job...
Wow, that’s amazing Gary. A long and painstaking job, but you did everything right and I can’t imagine what it would have cost to pay someone else to do it. Well done and you should be proud of yourself and the car for your very hard detail to attention. Funny about finding the cloth in the Jag😂!
Another good video Gary. It was nice to see Steve Brown, he is a top bloke and has given me some good advice over the years. I am an amateur painter, and more or less use HB Body products 100%, they never let me down.
Gary, you may have made a living as an actor but you have hidden talents when it comes to refurbishing cars. You have really impressed me and you produce a quality job. Very well done Gary
