Despite the fact that this Superman is not the classic Superman we need need but to me, It is pretty close to one because we all definitely need a more classic silver age Superman from McFarlane. Great review Jason.
Thank you so much for the headswaps. Every time there's a new figure I find myself imagining all the kitbash opportunites I can make with the new parts. If you get the Page Punchers Batman can you please put his head on the Arkham Asylum Batman? I made a kitbash using that body as the base and he currently has the rebirth head on. It's a bit small but looks good, however the page punchers Batman might be a better fit.
Just have to say this has been the coolest figure review I have seen in a long time! I have no idea how I have not heard of your channel until now. The review was Super awesome. You went on such a great detail and explanation without having a video be an hour lol. Great work!!!
this is more articulated than action comics 1000 he looks amazing in your collection and i like lee bermejo art of superman even though the red and blue is muted and no red loops in the belt i still like it
I originally shot several bits comparing it to Routh but I cut it for time. After all the comments I have gotten nothing the resemblance, I really wish I'd left them in lol
Oh yeah this is what I am talking about it's a review of the dc direct page punchers 7 inch superman figure today are you going to review the batman too, as well as later the dc multiverse superman worlds of war as well my man?
I bought this Superman fig when it came out, and it's a really nice figure. I was REALLY disappointed in those hands though. My best solution was to paint some shading into the recesses on the closed fists to make them look thinner. It's not great, but it did help. No way was I going to use the other hands
Can't wait for my to arrive. Another great review! As for that 5th dimension imp I believe it's pronounced mix-yez-pittle-ick. Love that character but man that name, lol
True story, I once watched a compilation of every appearance he ever made in a cartoon or show to get the pronunciation right, and they said it differently in every one lol I just stick with the way Gilbert Gottfried explained it on Superman the Animated Series, but even I say it differently depending on how fast I am talking ha
This is by far the best Superman body mold. Change the colors to a more vibrant red and blue, give it smaller hands and fist, a better cape, and a new classic head sculpt and then we’d have the definitive Superman.
I just discovered your channel its Awesome that you show head swaps!! 🤯 My fav Superman body is the DK Returns one But I don't like the head sculpt so I searching for a new one!
@@MasteroftheStorms You can heat the figure up and it will soften the glue enough that you can pry it off. However, the logo is pegged into his chest, so if you take off the logo, there is a big hole underneath. To get a good idea of what I am talking about, check out the Custom CW Kingdom Come Superman Figure video by Void City Reviews. You'll be able to see the hole and what you'd be working with.
@@5POAFigureReviews Thank you so much man. Any ideas for filling that hole? I was thinking like hardening clay or something but I want to ask someone who's had experience with this.
One thing I dislike is Superman’s scale in the Mcfarlane line. It’s like Todd absolutely hates the guy by making his figures just off and him super short in comparison to the rest of the league it’s just weird and off putting for Superman when he stands next to the flash who no matter what new figure Superman gets is almost a head taller than him.
I have seen that other people have done it, so I'm sure there's a way. I would assume that if you heat it up it will either wiggle out if the glue softens, or you'll be able to just cut it with an xacto. I haven't tried myself.
Best Superman figure from McFarlane Toys so far IMHO, one of my best figs from them. Personally I love the belt on this, and I've always felt belt loops on Superman is comically stupid in every way possible.
I love this figure as well but why is the skin so damn pale? They need to rerelease this figure with better skin and with the classic royal blue and bright red suit!! And that would be the greatest Superman figure to date in my opinion!! Oh yeah make the hands smaller too 👌
Those hands are ridiculously large. Thanks for letting me know. Aside from that it's a great figure, think I'll buy it. 5:58 Jeff Bezos head sculpt. Not good.
Although I don't like it as much, rebirth is in better scale with most other DC Multiverse figures and is a closer approximation of a classic superman. If you're willing to hold out though, I'd suggest maybe waiting for the upcoming Hush Superman. It's the same body as rebirth, but in classic colors
@@5POAFigureReviews not a big fan of the Hush Superman's head so I think I'll just settle with the rebirth Superman. Thanks for the great review and helping me make up my mind on which Superman to buy.👍
It took me a bit to warm up to him, I will be honest. And if I wasn't such an admirer of Lee Bermejo's art I don't think I could have. That and it reminds me a lot of Brandon Routh, who I also like a lot. Still, it won't be for everyone.
If you can only have one, Rebirth will fit in better with more of your DC Multiverse collection. As a figure though, I like this better. Just remember he doesn't look completely traditional, his hands are too big, and he is a little short.
I'm kicking myself because I actually did film a bunch of comparisons to Brandon Routh but cut them for time. Now that everyone is commenting on it, I really wish I'd left it in.
Appreciate seeing the headswaps and extra effort put into these!
Thanks! Glad you like them!
This! All the way!!
Despite the fact that this Superman is not the classic Superman we need need but to me, It is pretty close to one because we all definitely need a more classic silver age Superman from McFarlane. Great review Jason.
Thanks, Fernando! The recent Classic Martian Manhunter has me hoping for more under the "DC Classics" heading.
If ur someone that’s good at painting I bet if u paint this thing up it would look beast
After missing out on the action comics 1000 superman, im just happy i can get this guy.
This review actually sold me on this figure. I really like the height of this Superman. Also the face looks a bit Brandon Routh
Yeah, I actually filmed a bunch of comparisons to Brandon Routh but cut them for time. Really wishing I had left them in lol
@@5POAFigureReviews I wouldn't mind a lil extra video
To me Constantine is the one that I’d pick up as we don’t have any other ones. I’m fine with just that and the one comic.
I wasn't originally going to get him, but now I am on the hunt.

I don't currently have Arkham, but I will see what I can do as I wait for Page Punchers.
I really like how you do headswaps! Unlike any other review channel, really helpful!
Thank you! I try really hard to show everything I would want to see myself in a review.
Best format on YT for figure reviews.
Appreciate all the comparison shots and comments editing.
Thank you! I try to be fun and to the point. Well, five points lol
superboy prime in the back is giving " Is this man for real..???" kinda vibe when looking at superman.
That's Superboy Prime alright, always rolling his eyes
My favourite figures are the McFarlane Superman figures ❤😄
Just have to say this has been the coolest figure review I have seen in a long time! I have no idea how I have not heard of your channel until now. The review was Super awesome. You went on such a great detail and explanation without having a video be an hour lol. Great work!!!
Thanks so much, Dave! Glad you found the channel.
There's no way I'm not making a Superman returns figure with this body.
I say go for it!
Thanks for doing the head swaps. This by far is my favorite along side Action Comics 1000 and Jon Kent. Hope we get to see that video from you soon.
Thanks so much! So far the only Jon Kent I found had some QC issues so I passed on him. Hopefully will find a better one soon.
thank you for the headswaps!
You're very welcome!
this is more articulated than action comics 1000
he looks amazing in your collection
and i like lee bermejo art of superman
even though the red and blue is muted and no red loops in the belt
i still like it
Glad you like him! Hope you can get one.
Great figure I got him when he came out, haven't gotten around to opening him yet LoL
Page punchers are really nice
I'm really digging them.
Excellent video brother!!!
Thanks!
Also, The suit on Superman kind of reminds me of the Superman Returns from 2006 Superman suit played by Brandon Routh.
I was thinking the same thing.
I mean the belt has the S and the red is not bright while the S on the chest is not smaller like it was in Superman Returns, It still has the vibe.
I originally shot several bits comparing it to Routh but I cut it for time. After all the comments I have gotten nothing the resemblance, I really wish I'd left them in lol
I was on the fence about the page punchers Superman but it looks great in the video 👍
Happy to help!
Hhhhhhaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaa cool dude!!!!!!! Chainging heads !!!!! Justo funny!!!!! Great vídeo!!!!
Glad you like it

Glad you liked it! Don't have Batman yet, but will just as soon as I get him. And I def want to do the Worlds of War Superman.
Just realized can actually make a Brandon Routh custom with a new paint job and head sculpt 😯 (he was my childhood supes)
He's great. Man, the more comments on this video I get the more I regret cutting all the footage where I compared him to Routh lol

DC essentials is the best DC line Imo, hope Todd continues it.
Haven't heard anything beyond what he did with DCeased, but here's hoping!

I bought two of these for the purpose of swaping heads with a Superboy Prime figure.
It's a great swap, that's for sure.
The best review ever

You might just be right about that!
I kinda like the proportions on black adam
They are definitely very dynamic
Great review, This is the second time I decided to pick up a figure I was going to pass on based on your review and the head swaps. Great inspiration.
Thanks so much, Chris! Glad I can help.
I just discovered your channel its Awesome that you show head swaps!! 🤯 My fav Superman body is the DK Returns one But I don't like the head sculpt so I searching for a new one!
Look for the Versus I did of TDKR and Rebirth Superman. I did a swap on them and the Rebirth head looked great on that body.
I feel like soon we are getting cinematic supermen figures outside of Cavill.
I guess holding out hope for a Supergirl figure is for naught since Todd McFarlane doesn't like making female figures
It does feel that way. Hope that is not the case, though.
Rigamarole done ✅
Thanks Joe!
got me with the repeating clips lol
Thanks!
ripe for a Superman Returns custom
nice - I custom painted mine and added a cape
That's pretty cool. I bet it looks great
Where I looked on your channel and I don’t see it?
I haven’t posted it yet…
Probably gonna use this to make a custom Hyperion. Looks pretty cool.
If you post it anywhere, I'd love to see how it turns out.
@@5POAFigureReviews Of course.
@@5POAFigureReviews I do need some advice on how to get the emblem off though. Any ideas? I'm hoping it won't ruin the sculpt.

Yeah, scale is still a huge issue with McFarlane.
I wonder if it would be possible to remove the cape without destroying the figure? I'd really like to put a fabric cape on this one.

Are u getting constantine from this wave?also i love your videos dude, keep making them as long as you can
Thanks so much Mason! I def want Constantine, for sure.
Before they only 7 inch page puncher I want is the Black Adam and the Constantine Superman and Batman I'm good we'll maybe Batman lol
At this point I want them all lol
could this Superman right fist fit with AC#1000 Superman's hand :3
Is it just me or with the Page Puncher head on the 1000 body make the perfect Christopher Reeve?
It's very close. As a lot of people in the comments have noted, it is also very Brandon Routh-ish.
Awesome review! I just bought this figure. Do you think the page punchers Superman head will fit onto the Dark Knight Returns body?
It looks a little bit like Henry cavill , great figure , the Best mcfarlane Superman till now

Lol yeah it does

5:58 Jeff Bezos head sculpt. Not good.
Ha! Now I can't unsee it lol
Would it be possible to see the wrist balls and hands from the Super Boy Prime also put on this body?👀
I am hesitant to try it because I don't want to risk breaking them, BUT if you heat them up and work them, I think it might be possible, yes.

For sure. And we have been saying this since the beginning.
Good 👍🏼 video your dead on hands are way too big
Thanks so much. Yeah it is pretty distracting.
If I microwave the hands will they shrink? Haha
Maybe if you throw them in the dryer lol
I don't like that wavy cape
I can take it or leave it. In general, I prefer static.
Mickey Mouse hands🤣🤣🤣
