There is only ONE intercessor.
I've known many Dominican Priests in one of my churches. They actually live in stoic conditions. No tv. No radios. No phones. Just bed, chair, and window. They are minimalists who live stoically. They probably don't wear undergarments because they are wearing their own form of sackcloth. These Domincan Priests that I know are on fire for Jesus Christ. That's what separates them from the Jesuits and Basilian Priests in the other two churches I attend. So, do the math. Don't be concerned about their clothing. Look to their Passion for Jesus Christ's Passion. And maybe you happened to encounter a Dominican Priest who hadn't done his laundry!😉
The role of the Dominicans in the Inquisition has horrified me. Hunting dogs indeed. And their cruelty to the Albigensiansians. Ugh.
You asked for Saint Dominic's intercession in your vocation discernment? Sounds like YOU said NO to the Dominicans. I know so many holy Dominicans. Your sermon/reflection really disappoints me.

Father you are disparaging the Dominican Order with this sermon. You need to rethink it.
This is more of a reflection on you today, rather than on that one sad, probably accidental, event that happened in the past.
