If only we could remove bias out of law, this sort of level headed-ness and unbiased-ness would make our legal system great. The juxtaposition of their comment and yours just shows why people can't be trusted to anarchy and living freely. Too many people take things to the extreme and turn to their base instincts to punish people they feel are wrong. They don't even realize the moment when their desires and behaviors have become worse than the person they were criticizing in the first place.

@@MereologistAs you mentioned, 'attempted murder' is perhaps going a tad too far. However, IMHO he's surely culpable of attempting to maim, and committing assault.
Spraying poison which is toxic to humans, over fresh food intended for immediate consumption, is at least an attempt at causing widespread injuries and panic (as is dumping ice into a fryer). There's also the instance he terrified that generous couple and made them both fear imminent harm (assault).

It doesn't matter that he didn't make his claims about the rock until after they bought him stuff, his statements definitely would still induce a _fear_ of potential bodily harm going forward (and were clearly intended to), and an implication that their behavior towards him would decide whether he became violent or not, which is really all that's required.

Nah, I absolutely hate these types of nuisance streamers… but attacking the hosting sites would impact every form of content on those sites, and ramp up algorithmic censorship wherein a lot of non-offending content would be preemptively censored to avoid hypothetically potential lawsuits. It would also likely be used as an excuse for censorship of speech and expression in general.
We also shouldn’t ignore the fact that the bulk (if not all) of the income these creeps get is from donations… and if it wasn’t being funded directly via the host, such as through a super chat on yt, it would simply be funded under false pretenses to hide it… all this to say, the hosting sites aren’t paying them much, if any, to begin with in my estimation.
Accountability should rest squarely on the shoulders of the offenders, and the consequences they face should be significant. Perhaps holding the people who are actually donating to these guys accountable would also help.
