My grandmother had the most stunning bathroom in pink and black, in a very modern house built in 1950. I wish I had taken photos of it.
I painted my living room Black Satin BM 2 years ago. I still love it. All furniture and wall art stand out. My sofa is antiqued beige leather. It glows in this room.I have a mid century black credenza with caramel/brown drawers. I don’t think I will ever change from this color. I love this black walled room!

I love black and brass together. Have been wanting a vintage savonarola chair, and was lucky enough to find one in black leather, iron, and brass accents. Even my husband likes it, and that says a lot lol! Black is always a classic whether in clothes or in your home. Love your channel!

I have honey oak throughout the upper floor of my home (cabinets, hardwood floors, stairs and railings). I wanted to paint the kitchen walls black because I thought it would modernize the 90s horror a bit. Hubby did not agree, so we compromised and went with charcoal gray and one chalkboard paint wall (tacky, I know, but it's black!). I get so many compliments on the chalkboard wall! I'm going to keep working on him...

My own home is dark grey throughout (identical to the space you’re standing in here). A great foil for white accessories and artwork. Plants, metallic finishes and the tiniest touches of walnut (for warmth): perfect the look. ♡︎♥︎

As a goth, with love for the darker color palettes, I absolutely love the way you have done black in your home, Valentina. I'm a woman in my 30's and I've never been drawn to the "spooky" and kitchy bat and spiderweb styles that gothic home decor leans to. It will never read as sophisticated or elegant, nor will it take you through your life beyond the teen years and twenties.
Im currently in the process of renovating the kitchen, and im definitely going to be adding high gloss, modern cabinets with a charcoal and teal/turquoise color palette and brushed nickel hardware.
The goths will happily accept you into our covens, Valentina! Hugs!

I recently discovered my love of black as a neutral. It all started with painting a white dining table black in my neutral home. I. Was. Hooked! it was like adding a black tuxedo jacket to a crisp white shirt.

You are fabulous and your balances perspective on color I love love love black I also love color and the balanced use of it with black and mixing metals. I decorated primitive for years and used red,greens, the right of yellows and grounded it all with black. Then after 20 years and seeing all the whites I decided it was time for a change then I was lost as to what to do by eliminating all use of color ( the trend) I was lost as to what to do and then I stopped and just decided what I wanted and loved and it was switching to some use of soft off white and then painted my doors and trim black I did an accent wall in a different shade of black and added some color in my pictures and pillows and throws and mixing my metals and I found MY truth again so thank you for empowering that 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️also I found myself leaning to blond blond blond and then I added the balance of dark woods with it and it definitely was the way to go ( so much more interesting!)

I have gone from mostly white/light palette to exploring black. Black is the best color against the brown brick our home is made of. I want everything in black and green outside to balance out the colors of the building. Then I realized I need to marry that with our white and blue inside. Fortunately the foundation inside is white with black accents. This is so much fun! I need a friend to get nerdy with 😅

I love black. In fact it's what I ALWAYS go for whether it's decor or clothing. It's all out of control honestly and I've been trying to incorporate in more whites and ivory. I also have a good amount of plants (yes some faux 🤫) haha....But it's quality faux like some faux Magnolia stems and wreaths and I have a massive 8 foot faux mango leaf tree that I bought some years ago at Hobby Lobby for a complete steal of a price. It's very full and I have had so many compliments people are always sad when I tell them Hobby Lobby sadly no longer sells these massive trees. It was less than $150 with their 40% off coupon and considering trees like this go for $1000+ - so I'm not parting with it! The mango leaves are a thick dark green (like Magnolia leaves) and not the usual thin, flimsy leaves on many faux trees that look tacky. Most people assume it's real, including a friend's spouse who is a horticulturist! I thought if it fooled him, it must be good 👍
But I did quite a bit of black with greens and gold last Christmas. I usually do a bit different theme each Christmas, or rotate, but I loved it all so much I may just repeat that theme this Christmas season too.

I painted my room black when I was a teen. Then all of the artwork/posters on my wall were in black and white. My comforter was black and white, and the pops of color existed in my throw pillows and other accents. The love of black has followed me into my 20s and now 30s. I want to paint our living room black on 1, possibly 2 walls.

Red is my favorite color. But black is a close second. My family room is gray walls with red sofa, loveseat and ottoman, black recliner with chrome accents. And I found the most delightful area rug of black, red, gray and creamy white that ties it all together in a modern way with my mod chrome lamps too. I love how you are bold enough to use the black colors on walls and other design elements in your home!
