That was sorta me... But at first I thought, "well, he did what made him happy so I guess he's smart enough to know he's gonna lose some respect, and he accepts that." I was genuinely like, this sucks, but so be it. MJ was and is a mega superstar, but his basketball play always seemed front and center compared to his business ventures and everything else. Lebron right now feels like a media/business icon that also just happens to play basketball at an elite level, which makes his accomplishments seem more hollow compared to what MJ achieved. To be fair Lebron does have a lot of fans, I personally think it’s the constant media coverage, the unprecedented move to Miami, given we never saw 3 prime players in the 26-28 age range on one time that were all top 15 players at that respective time, it seemed like he stacked the deck really in his favor. Seeing him lose kinda humbled him but in a lot of people’s eyes took him out of the Kobe, Jordan, aura of greatness considered he really shit the bed when he was the overwhelming favorite. Sometimes I wonder how different the perspective of LeBron would be if he had been drafted to a team with decent management. Magic, Bird, Kobe, Kareem were all drafted into favorable situations. Yes, Jordan was drafted into an absolute shitshow but at least he had a competent front office to build around him. Meanwhile LeBron has owners saying no to prime Amare Stoudemire because they wanted to hold on to JJ freaking Hickson. Sometimes I wonder how different the perspective of LeBron would be if he had been drafted to a team with decent management. Magic, Bird, Kobe, Kareem were all drafted into favorable situations. Yes, Jordan was drafted into an absolute shitshow but at least he had a competent front office to build around him. Meanwhile LeBron has owners saying no to prime Amare Stoudemire because they wanted to hold on to JJ freaking Hickson. All while Lebron's sheer talent kept his teams in pseudo-contention while at the same never allowing them to build through the draft.

Ngl I was one of the biggest hater when he moved to Miami, celebrated when they lose to the Mavs & Spurs but for some reason I kinda rock with him when he returned to Cleveland and atleast bring in a chip, that alone makes it special than other superstars chips. I mean winning a Championship for a city where he came from, most superstars win on other cities (not that its their fault) all Im saying it adds an extra amount of sweetness winnimg for your city.
The one thing I wish is that he should go back to the 2018 shooting form cause that IMO was the best in his entire career, he changes his form & freethrows almost every year.
My problem with him now in LA is I think he's not playing as motivated like be used to, sure he is putting up the usual numbers. I think he's more motivated in shooting commercials now & stuff 😅

Javale is on his last legs, J.R and Dion are out of the league, Danny Green is done, and that’s about it, yeah they should’ve held on to Caruso and probably shouldn’t have moved Kuzma, but let’s not act like the Lakers had a superteam, that team was not great
I agree I'll say I think that his Cleveland ring legitimized his 2 rings in Miami because he was suppose to win there, some even suggest he came up short in Miami I agree. I think if Durant didn't bitch out and move to the warriors (an even cheaper way to win his rings than Bron going to Miami at least LeBron was part of the foundation on that team Durant went to a team that was already the favorite to win) LeBron has a chance for more than one in Cleveland bit once KD was a warrior it was over for Cleveland. Those championships KD won can never be legitimized since the warriors have won before and after KD and he cam barely make the fucking playoffs lol
