    Hi, I'm enjoying most of the video; I just wanted to adjust one of the points: "struggle to make many friends". In my case, there is no "struggle". It's a choice. I allow quality in my life. Maybe some of the other INTJ's will agree: A friend, to me, is not just someone who you know and you have common, shared interests. That's an acquaintance you are familiar with. A friend is someone who is interested in improving your welfare, who comforts you when you're down in spirit, who shares wisdom and experience with you, who is not preoccupied with getting a social upper hand. And we are the equivalent to this one we call friend, we're there for them in the same way. The friends I have are great people. There are those who try to ingratiate themselves to me, but I've been hurt a lot by people, even those who are my family. So, I'm cautious about who enters my proverbial space.
    If you want to bother to say that bit about friends more accurately, you could say that: INTJ's don't easily befriend, but the friends they make stimulate thought and positive challenge.
    I'm interested if anyone agrees or disagrees. 😊

    Intjs like horror movies? Disagree, horror movies are dumb, every move characters make in a horror movie makes the INTJ question the intelligence of the producers

      I don't watch it for the acting, or character development. It's one of the lowest cost to produce genres so the barriers of entry are less leading to a greater variety in ideas and creative risk not seen in other genres.

      For me it's the psychological aspect of them. Sure cheap (jump)scares are dumb, but movies that slowly build up a solid unnerving atmosphere are quite interesting. Also, if we confront any fears/stresses we can become stronger.

    Some of these things may sound somewhat like me but not quite. I am an Ni(introverted intuition) dom, but I am not an INTJ but rather an INFJ, the most similar type to the INTJ. Now, I know not if I am a Sigma INFJ, which I feel I do have the ability and potential to become or maybe even just finish becoming. A Sigma INTJ could be considered the ultimate problem solver, while the Sigma INFJ could be considered to be the ultimate people solver. Also, an INFJ and an INTJ, can make best of friends, should they be both Sigma, this friendship can surpass all comprehension of humanity and become nothing less than true authenticity between the 2. We both strive for deep connection and are bored with small talk and shallow subjects. I respect the INTJs Te(extroverted thinking) and sometimes wish I have more of it myself. Because we both utilize our shared Ni in our dominant spots, we see patterns like no one else sees them and can pick up on things that no one else can see from it.

    Do results equate to intelligence?
    I am likely almost as close to an INFJ type as an INTJ type, but I don't mind taking lead when needed. However, I also never saw myself as "more intelligent than others". It is very rare for others to understand and especially agree to my perspective. This is possibly because I am always looking to go as deep as necessary to find an endpoint to a concept before drawing conclusions - this often includes trying to understand the motivation of the person(s) behind the concept. I'm only looking to understand it once so I can move to the next thing. In the end rarely are things disconnected from others.

      Personally I found them always boring, until recently (horror in general). Why I found them boring, was just the dumb sensation formula, that they were all about just having some maniac killing a bunch of people, with basically no plot. OTOH, since covid, I think horror movies have improved quite a bit. They're more about plot, as much, much less about killing sprees. And even the 1-2 spree ones I saw, they had some pretty new plot usage. Just about the only decent movies since covid, are almost entirely horror ones. Hollywood hasn't recovered at all from covid, but horror movies have improved. I have a special fondness these days for the James Wan efforts, which, of course, the latest is M3GAN. M3GAN is the perfect example of the new horror class I'm talking about, where they're more worried about plot development, and the killing spree is given second place a bit. You don't need many killings to create the tension and there's a threshold somewhere where they just go over the top, and then it fits into the category of slop.
      This week I saw the trailer for the old movie "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane". It's a very clever movie compared to shlock like many of the Halloween movies, and the killings are minimal and there's certainly no killing spree, but the tension is very real, and oh that ending. I don't get tension at all from very many of the pre-covid horror flicks, because all they're doing is killing, and it's nothing more than a joke. Put some effort into it, and the post-covid ones certainly have been putting in an effort. I actually can't think of a single horror movie I've since covid, that I at least wouldn't give a 7. Pre-covid they were 5's and 6's if you were lucky. I presume there's some bad ones now, only I pick what looks like the best ones and haven't been wrong yet seemingly.

      Meyers-briggs and Astrology are two sides of the same coin: understanding the fundamental human archetypes...
      These are lenses to view the world which are quite fascinating to observe and validate/debunk with your own life experience

    INTJ is not sigma. Sigma is a construct which is being popularised by 'xxxx' in order to redefine masculinity.

    • @charles2241
      @charles2241 Год назад +2

      Many INTJ's are sigma's as well, including myself (but I'm more INTJ/INFJ). Some people, maybe you, seem to have this epiphany😂, that since the word sigma wasn't coined till I think 2010, that they don't exist. From what I've seen, it's just giving the old terminology of "lone wolf" something of a redressing. In any event, sigma's have always existed, whether they had a term to describe them or not. I will also add, that while INTJ's can often be sigma, I think many INTJ's are not. Sigma shares a lot of the same traits as an INTJ, but some very different ones as well. For example, when I started in MBTI, I never got the impression that INTJ's were leaders at all. Sigma's, OTOH, don't want leadership usually, or only in short stints, but they often are VERY good at it (such was the case with me as well). I didn't want leadership, and don't now as a matter of fact, but once I was sort of forced into it, it was like a fish to water. It's actually a bit uncanny, because the sigma leadership method totally usurps any concept of good leadership you would think works, but for reasons unknown to many, it does work.
      Where do sima's get this hidden leadership they don't want? Why from ruling themselves. Sigma has nothing to do with redefining masculinity, but if it were at all, it's because it's been hidden for so long (coming more out into the open). So yes, I can see why you might think sigmatism is an attempt to knock down the more traditional male outlooks, but as we've been around since forever most likely, it's just in your face at the moment because it's trending, nothing more. Being sigma myself, I certainly wouldn't say it's for everybody, so it has no chance of usurping the blessings alphas and betas seem to get, but it is a better, more honest way, and the ladies appreciate that generally. He's the guy that sees women as equals, without feminism having anything to do with it (though it could in some cases I would imagine).

    Horror movies are not interesting or entertaining. Horror is found in our society and in war, but not entertaining.
