If you want more of this...try their original Love Again, covers Blinding Lights and Problem. Also New Rules x Are you that Somebody. There are so many...over 200 covers and approaching 50 originals. Bohemian Rhapsody and Gold are great to compare with original artists. Great reaction.
Thats funny, after I Iooked thru their channel to see what their vibe was I was gonna recommend their New Rules (Dua Lipa) x Are You That Somebody (Aaliyah) mash-up, Problem (Ariana Grande), their original Love Again which u recommended and I was gonna add their 90s Dance Medley and Come Along (I think they'd appreciate the quirky vibe).
The Prayer, Bohemian Rhapsody, Popspring 2016 concert (4 songs, three originals and their Evolution of Michael Jackson). Anything you pick will be amazing. Over 200 videos in their catalogue. Just keep having them on your channel. Love your reactions!!! 💕💕
Recommend ‘Imagine Dragons’ cover “Radioactive” with Lindsey Stirling(award-winning violinist) and Kevin playing his Cello, named Beyoncé (cello-boxing)
I didn't see the appropriate comment elsewhere, so let's talk "bad-ass"... this video won their first Grammy award for them. First of three. There is one other name on the award... Ben Bram, who is their musical arranger. You never hear his voice - but you hear a lot of his work.
This was recorded in a closet and filmed in a kitchen. And it won a Grammy Award. Proof that ANYONE can win a Grammy if they work hard enough and have a vision.
I recommend their evolution videos ( Music, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Rhianna, and Arianna Grande). Their PopSpring concert that has been recommended has the Evolution of Michael Jackson and their is also an official video.
Hard to believe that they are just kids! If you want to see a live performance, look up Pop Spring & I promise your mind will really be blown! They're AMAZING at EVERYTHING they do! Please do more Pentatonix reactions!
I definitely agree with what others have suggested, mess with the video however you need to, but not the audio. Have a happy trip down the rabbit hole, I’ll be lurking :D
Yeah we did the same thing to this one as we did to the last one and this one was blocked but the one before wasn't lol I'm starting to think its just the luck of the draw! This is the reason it takes so long between PTX songs, we have to wait for the copyrights to clear. MUCH LOVE!
So you clearly liked how they arranged this medley, executed it, and edited it for the video. The 90's dance medley is something to marvel for how they pull it off regardless of whether you liked those tunes. You might like their collaborations with Lindsey sterling like Radioactive and the French song Papaoutai. Havana is just silk ear candy. Sing is a great original song they made. The macklemore and Lewis Can't Hold US cover is an eye opener on their rapping prowess
This is a medley of 7 songs from the French musical duo, Daft Punk. Pentatonix won a Grammy for the arrangement. I enjoy your Pentatonix reactions. Thank you. I look forward to more of your Pentatonix reactions. Some of their more recent videos would give you a bigger picture of what they can do.
Trash music? Dems fighting words!😂 Recommend their Bohemian Rhapsody. Also, For a high quality live performance, recommend their Popspring 2016 set. Three of four songs are originals. Well worth the seventeen minutes.
I was blown away the first time I saw this, too. I love watching others see it for the first time. All the suggestions below are great. I would also suggest “Come Along” and their original song, “Sing” if you haven’t already done so.
Their version of Hallelujah is their most viewed video with over 668M views. You should definitely check that one out at ruclips.net/video/LRP8d7hhpoQ/видео.html, then look at them performing it live on their Christmas special at ruclips.net/video/haFHrfmfHbc/видео.html. It may be even better than the studio version. Bohemian Rhapsody has 123M views, and is also amazing to watch. As someone already noted, Love Again is similar to Daft Punk in the costuming and arrangements. If you want to hear some beautiful 5-part harmony, Run To You. Their catalog is so deep it'll take you years to try and cover it all; however, as most Pentaholics will remind you - they don't do covers of songs, they do upgrades.
Go with a kwirky song just for fun. Gangham Style w/bloopers. Entertaining. Then go over to a mash/up New Rules/Are You That Somebody. The beatboxing is fantastic! Thanks guys!
Most of us already know about the huge copyrights Pentatonix holds so never apologize for needed to pause to much or putting a filter on the video, we understand and all still show up!! Something we love just as much as Pentatonix is people discovering them for the first time. They have a number of evolution videos if you’re interested… Michael Jackson, Rihanna, evolution of music itself. This one is their first Grammy. Recorded and filmed in one of their closets/kitchens! Another fun fact is the contacts actually bothered kevens eyes which is why he is wearing those cool glasses instead of the contacts
I love you guys ❤️❤️❤️ I've mentioned it before but you guys will LOVE their rendition of Imagine. Please watch it, it's such a great message, right up your alley, I promise!
My favorite way to listen to this is to each time try to pay attention to one specific member. There's almost always some new tiny detail I never noticed before.
They did this video in a Avi and Kevins Closet and Kitchen for $400 and won their 1st Grammy The Girl is Kirsty blonde is Scott high pitch dark head guy is Mitch and beard is Avi Bass beats and the beat boxer is Kevin
It was the audio that was recorded in a bedroom closet, and the video was recorded in the kitchen of Avi and Kevin's LA apartment. EDIT: ruclips.net/video/AUMH57NS6hg/видео.html, check it at the 00:40 mark
I'm sure someone has told you they won their first grammy for this number. Anything by them is great, you literally can't go wrong. Let me suggest two things. First, an original by them that's very energetic and fun, "Sing!" and then you will absolutely love "Gold" which exposes what they do and how they do it so openly -- there is no such thing as behind the scenes. It's amazing.
I'd like to think their best vocals are in each of their songs, but I know what you mean. "The Prayer" is an amazing arrangement with a lot of amazing parts to it.
They have so many to choose ...Amazing Grace, The Prayer, My Heart With You, Come Along, Royals, they even did Jolene with Dolly Parton and many many more. Just subscribed!
Welcome to the Pentatonix rabbit hole. FYI - there is a term fans use: "Mitch slapped" you will know it when you ear it...lol. I am surprised you haven't seen Hallelujah yet?? The video is EPIC and there is a live version so you can see how it would sound live - I know you were interested. Then there is Bohemian Rhapsody, The Prayer, Sing, Imagine, Mad World, Sound of Silence? Speaking of...some other songs (or artists) to check out: have you seen Disturbed's version of Sound of Silence? Also epic! Tim Minchin's: Prejudice and Not Perfect and Wine in the Sun. You are Welcome!!!!
Thanks for getting to some Pentatonix, think I suggested this during a live stream some months back or maybe after a H Mack reaction if you guys asked for other genre suggestions. Either way, welcome to a cappella perfection. Love your guys reactions and taste in music. Haters hate because they don't get any love, so let them hate their own hate.
Beatboxer is Kevin Olusola. Bass is Avi Kaplan. Avi leaves the group a few years back and is replaced by Matt Sallee. The other three-Mitch, Scott and Kirstie--remain throughout. So you may see videos with either Avi or Matt in the future. You should probably look at the full listing of their work and find a few songs that appeal to you. Also, it helps sometimes to watch the original versions separately so you have perspective on the PTX remake! PTX upgrades songs, you will hear that and believe it.
Just a bit of info on this they won a Grammy for it and it cost 5k to make the video. If you want a fun and upbeat one to listen to try...Come Along...so much fun
Seems like you've only reacted so far to very early Pentatonix, you have more than 10 years to cover! Just a pointer: some of the members look very different over the years, but there has only been 1 member change in 10 years.
Welcome to the PTX Rabbit Hole. I can tell you're really interested in learning more about this group, and I have a suggestion that I think you'll appreciate. RUclips rents out and sells a Pentatonix documentary called "On My Way Home" (not to be confused with the song of the sane name). However, before watching it, I'd recommend reacting to the following songs first so that you don't see any spoilers in the documentary: 1. Problem. 2. Standing By 3. On My Way Home 4. Let's Get It On* 5. Aha 6. Royals 7. Love You Long Time There are a couple of others, but these feature the highest, particularly "Problem".. They sing the entire song live. *Let's Get it On is from Season 3, Episode 10 of the Sing-Off, the televised show that got them started. So if you plan to react to those episodes, you might want to start early so you can get to #10 before you see it in the Documentary. We'll continue to give you recommendations on other PTX songs you must hear, and my two cents are: "Sing" and "Love Again", both of which are originals and they're both FIRE.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the information we will definatley check it out after we watch the videos you suggested - We hate spoilers! lol thanks again!
Just to give you a better background whilst letting you know that there is SO MUCH MORE still to go, check out the "Beginners Guide....." ***SPOILER ALERT*** ruclips.net/video/lDxIfwfCmQE/видео.html
Ya'll need to check out PTX version of Bohemian Rhapsody and then check out Kevin Olusola (the beatboxer) cover of Marian Hill's "Down".....both will blow your freaking minds
I saw your channel for the first time and you seem really cool, I have been watching Pentatonix for years and one of my favorites is Bohemian Rhapsody. It is definitely a must see.
❣ ***THERE ARE LITERALLY NO WORDS IN MY ENGLISH VOCABULARY, THAT CAN DESCRIBE THIS GROUP!!!*** ❣ I have also come to the conclusion, that Mitch is an Alien, from the planet of WTF 🙃 😊🙃
For great makeup check out their medley of Perfume songs (Japanese girl group). Not only is the makeup great, the arrangement is great and they sing in Japanese.
I don’t really get the complaints about y’all being too noisy, you were actually pretty toned down compared to most reactors out there lol. Definitely recommend you check out more PTX songs/covers because as far as I can tell they’ve literally never dropped the ball once and they’re still going strong today (in fact one of their most recent works is one of my favorites that they’ve ever done). So please keep on going down the PTX rabbit hole, you won’t be disappointed :)
You two are so much fun, I just sub'd to your channel and can't wait for more PTX reactions. I really hope you guys read more of the comments cause we pentaholics are trying to educate and inform you guys on everything PTX. you've done about 5 PTX reactions already and you're still calling them "that chick" and "the beatboxer", "guy with the high voice" and "the one witth the beard" or the "tall blond one". Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying. I've got so much to tell you but not sure if you'll even read it. Anyhow if you do I'd love it if you do PTX live performance in front of a studio audience Christmas special "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen ruclips.net/video/haFHrfmfHbc/видео.html here's the link to help. thanks and i hope to see it up soon
Thank you so much for the kind words. We actually read all of our comments, we can’t respond to all as we get hundreds, and we both work full time jobs and have two kiddos. We have done a few Pentatonix reactions now but the first few we did were around Christmas time when we discovered them and shortly after had to take a couple of months away from the channel to have a few oral surgeries done and have only been “officially” back for a couple of weeks now. We are super impressed with Pentatonix and have chose to continue to cover them on our channel even though the videos are heavily policed by copyrights and they are usually blocked for 2-10 days before they are released to you all to view. It will take a while before we know them all by name as we cover many many new bands and artists and their is usually at least a week between videos by the same artists. So no disrespect to the artists or any fans but until we know them by name “the beat boxer dude” and other adjectives will have to be used lol. Hopefully one day we will be able to do RUclips full time or at least part time and will be able to spend more time interacting with you all because that is one of the best parts of what we are doing. We love getting to converse and discover new things with new interesting people. Thanks again for the kind words and your support! We will definitely do the live version of Hallelujah that you requested, either next or after the sound of silence. Our last PTX video was blocked again unfortunately, that is the reason there is so much time between the PTX videos. MUCH LOVE
Even as a subscriber, I'm going to be that guy for a minute. This is in fact the Daft punk medley for which they won their first Grammy award. A mashup or a remix of multiple songs is, by definition, a medley. noun: medley; a collection of songs or other musical items performed as a continuous piece. Also, since it's the not the 1970's anymore, perhaps you should think about retiring the term "chick" when referring to women, especially women you don't know personally. It's hardly a term of endearment and many people consider it to have a derogatory connotation. Okay, I'll step off my soapbox and reconfirm for the two of you that you are not reacting to s**t music. You're reacting to real music by extraordinarily talented people.
LoL I have yet to meet anyone that takes the term chick as derogatory, maybe if I was speaking directly to that person I could see how that would be less than desired, and that is something I wouldn't do but in this case "Chick" is used for the exact reason that I dont know this woman personally and couldn't remember her name in the process. Not sure what the confusion was with the word medley but we understood this was a Medley, we just didn't know for sure before we started the video if this was THE MEDLEY we were asked to check out as it isn't titled "medley" just DAFT PUNK. Thank you for the English lesson though we appreciate all input - Much Love
Every reactor's style is different. There are some I don't care for, so I don't watch them. And I don't feel the need to tell them . If you don't like someting...don't watch it. (Sorry for the rant).
Give them a break. Pentatonix blows minds and it can be hard to find the words when your mind just got blown. I once forgot the word "Asparagus" for 24 hours (I knew it in German, but forgot the English version... and I'm American). And that was me without being mind-blown by PTX.
When did they say they didn't know what medley was? They said they were told to find the daft punk medley but the video is only titled daft punk not daft punk medley so they weren't sure if it was the right video to start with.
If you want more of this...try their original Love Again, covers Blinding Lights and Problem. Also New Rules x Are you that Somebody. There are so many...over 200 covers and approaching 50 originals. Bohemian Rhapsody and Gold are great to compare with original artists. Great reaction.

Love Again broke me all over again. Spectacular in every possible way.
The Prayer, Bohemian Rhapsody, Popspring 2016 concert (4 songs, three originals and their Evolution of Michael Jackson). Anything you pick will be amazing. Over 200 videos in their catalogue. Just keep having them on your channel. Love your reactions!!! 💕💕
They won their first Grammy for this one.
You NEED to do their EDM original "Love Again" (Outfit and makeup alert for your lady)
You're looking at what an apartment, a closet, a ring light, $400 and a SHIT TON of creativity from five massively talented artists can produce!
Recommend ‘Imagine Dragons’ cover “Radioactive” with Lindsey Stirling(award-winning violinist) and Kevin playing his Cello, named Beyoncé (cello-boxing)

They did the video on a Ipad in a closet they did the editing at the kitchen table
The music arrangement won a Grammy, but I really think the video itself should win something. It's 50% of the greatness.
Wait, the video wasn't a factor? I find that hard to believe.
It's almost Christmas time again, you should check out Pentatonix official video for Silent Night (it is a live performance) ❤️
This won a Grammy.
This was recorded in a closet and filmed in a kitchen. And it won a Grammy Award. Proof that ANYONE can win a Grammy if they work hard enough and have a vision.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a must by PTX, and Sound of Silence....and Imagine will blow your mind :)
I recommend their evolution videos ( Music, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Rhianna, and Arianna Grande). Their PopSpring concert that has been recommended has the Evolution of Michael Jackson and their is also an official video.
Guys, you have over a DECADE of their amazing gifts.

Peeps…..Pentatonix has been around for 10 years. Where you been? Hehe
This video was shot in Avi's closet with a 400 dollar budget and won them their first grammy.
So you clearly liked how they arranged this medley, executed it, and edited it for the video. The 90's dance medley is something to marvel for how they pull it off regardless of whether you liked those tunes.

However, before watching it, I'd recommend reacting to the following songs first so that you don't see any spoilers in the documentary:
1. Problem.
2. Standing By
3. On My Way Home
4. Let's Get It On*
5. Aha
6. Royals
7. Love You Long Time

Well said
Pathetic. I don't care for you either.

Love your reaction to this!
Seriously? You didn't know what MEDLEY meant?
Give them a break. Pentatonix blows minds and it can be hard to find the words when your mind just got blown. I once forgot the word "Asparagus" for 24 hours (I knew it in German, but forgot the English version... and I'm American). And that was me without being mind-blown by PTX.
When did they say they didn't know what medley was? They said they were told to find the daft punk medley but the video is only titled daft punk not daft punk medley so they weren't sure if it was the right video to start with.
Thanks Gary you nailed it. I dont have the biggest vocab but Im pretty sure I got that one down lol Much Love!
Definitley didn't say we didn't know what medley meant lol we tend to talk a lot so maybe it was misheard or misspoken... Thanks for watching!
what ? all mozard did was button pushing... whats the point of that?
Everything is a cappella no instruments It’s rid of vocals
Please stop screaming .. thank you.
