I think this is the transition point between beginner and intermediate, and when you start to find out who you are as a player and musician. Great overview lesson! Cannot wait to get home and grab a guitar.
This is so awesome! I was playing my guitar last night and a couple of nights before feeling frustrated and limited. I'm learning to find my own guitar voice minus playing with backtracks and my favorite songs. Funny thing is I'd been experimenting with open D, F and C shapes in different positions on the fret. Bar chords, too. I'm especially pushing myself to use the B chord more. I'm encouraged by what you shared, man! Thanks so much!! Subscribed!
Great lesson (again). This is exactly what is needed for anyone jamming with a mate, or looping, much better than 2 people playing the same. Sounds fantastic.
Thank you . Opens up the frets to a new world of sounds and music ! And also makes me a better player because now I'm tying all E A D G B E together up the frets and knowing where the cords are.... Great lesson
Very good lesson. I have a suggestion for future videos. When talking about these movable chords it would be helpful to point out where the root note for each chord in each position is.
Yes but the CAGED system is about understanding where all your notes / shapes are in the correct key. It might seem easier but if you learn the CAGED system correctly it's far superior and very powerful👍
It's all down to preference, you can if you want it depends what sounds good to you, no rules! If you want to play in a particular key you'll have to find the invasion of the notes necessary👍

Just like the power chords this has opened the fretboard up for me! Awesome! Can't wait to try old songs with these new options.
