One of the best resorts in Las Terrenas on the Las Ballenas beach is the Alisei hotel. We had the opportunity to tour this resort and it was spectacular. Centrally located, steps from the beach, beautiful pool and very nice restaurant and bar. If you're looking for a vacation spot for friends, family or honeymoons this is a place you should check out. It is not all inclusive and has full kitchens in every unit. This allows families and friends to save a lot of money by going to the grocery store and doing some cooking on their own. One of the most important reasons we did a video on the Alicia Hotel was its location. Staring at the ocean if you go left down the cobblestone street there are plenty of beach bars, restaurants, boat rentals, bike rentals and beautiful Sand Beach. To the right within a 10-minute walk you are right in the heart of downtown Las Terrenas which will give you a great idea of the culture and how people live in this area of Dominican Republic.
