This could be the origo for the east-west and north-south main lines, hard to find any more ideal and suitable place for a central railway station in Budapest.

Technical question : were you sporting a shoulder balanced device, to stabilize your camera ? this is pretty steady for a walking operator ! Well done !
I used my tripod as a shoulder rig in some of my videos, but I can't remember if I did that in this video. I go handheld in most cases tho.
Greg Visits That seems very efficient ; sometimes, I tried to hold my tripod just under the camera plate, the tripod fully extended but with its legs folded and jointed vertically. Thus, I get a lower than the camera gravity center - but I still can't fully control the "wave" move…

This was recorded 6 years ago, that time they were departing from this station. Since 2017 they depart from Budapest nyugati station

That could be the Taurus engine starting to "solmizate", i can't imagine those musicians in the underpass can be heard up through this massive noise :D

Travel to Germany from Subotica ex YU in 1991 , to Budapest, and from Budapest to Stuttgart, I still remember station, had fillings about roots of my ancestors Austrian & Hungarian Empire.

De kirrrály még Szalóczy Pali bácsi beszél imádom a Hangját simán lehet érte sajnos ma már Mátyus Kati az orrhangú beszédhibás undorító ő beszél. Amit nem lehet se érteni se hallani rendesen undorító ahogy az angol bemondást mondja! Sajnos ahol dolgozom a Déli-pályaudvaron is lecserélték Szalóczyt Május 15.-én 0.00-tól :( :(

Olyan mintha most is ott járkálnánk,nagyon tiszta minőségű felvétel ,az egyik legjobb Keletis felvétel,az utolsó időkből,már sajnos meg voltak számlálva a napjai Szalóczynak :(
Keleti pályaudvarra nem való Mátyus Kati hangja, de sehova se való!
Keletibe Rábai Balázs hangját, a Déli pályaudvarra meg Szalóczy hangját raknám be ha a MÁV Start Zrt nél dolgoznék. Mátyus Kati hangját mindenhonnan kitenném
Last month of the announcer I loved to hear ... he was replaced one month later by a TTS system nobody really appreciates :-((
Really? That makes me so sad. My mum and me used to go to the south of Hungary by train and listening to real announcers always gave me those "vacation vibes". Can't imagine to listen to a TTS system now 😔 did they keep the jingle at least?
MÁV wanted to fit into the western trend: female voice, TTS announcement... Not too popular amongst passengers. If you would like to hear some old school announcements, it's getting harder to find them in this country year after year, especially in Budapest.
BKK (Budapest Transport Company) still has many traditional announcements running in the metro system and trams. The man is Pál Szalóczy and also there's Rachel Appleby, a native British woman speaking English for the tourists.
