I jumped off treadmill of colouring on my 40th Birthday much to everyone's horror bar my hairdresser, daughter and myself... my mum was worse mortified I was letting myself go as she nicely put it.
I am now 56 I loved watching my hair change colour like autumn but on my head lol
It is now a awesome white, it has been all lengths and currently long and natural beachwave thanks to Covid.. Always find a positive.
I also have a 30 yr old daughter who has wonderful chocolate brown hair but she can not wait to embrace her white.
Anyone who is considering take a leap of faith buy lovely money jar and until your hair finishes transition put what you would have paid getting roots, and colour done in jar you will be stunned at savings and then go treat yourself... You are worth it 😊
You look way better with the gray hair then when coloring it. Looks so nice with your skin tone. I think it actually makes you look younger. Hair looks far healthier.

How is it going? I'm a month in.
I'm 9 weeks in and it's been rough cause of the line on top of my head. going to get hats, scarves and some spray. can't wait til this stage is over

I am going gray for the second time. The first time. I thought I looked so old. And I dyed it again, I was happy with it for three weeks... until the gray came in again... I have gray eyes and gray hair makes me pale. But this time I am going to look at my wardrobe and make up. My husband doesn't want me to gray. But I do it for myself!!!

2:11 - currently my hair is this color and I have an appointment with my hairdresser to highlight it with gray to match my 1 inch growth of gray. I'm hoping the two colors combine well.

Thanks for sharing, i also went grey during the first lockdown and i also noticed that my grey hair has grown thicker and healthier! i wish i took this decision earlier...cause i look and feel much better with grey hair en with being in peace with my age.

You can do it!
You look Gorgeous in your natural color, the cut makes you look younger. Your face looks brighter and more vibrant. Please do not go back to dyeing your hair dark😘

Good looking... gray hairs started when I was 20 now 29 started colouring. Only because of society. Friends & relatives started teasing so no other option!

I am 6 months in and gone from dark brown (lots of dye) to some white and yellowy blonde. its driving me mad to be honest as I like the white colour but not the yellowy tones. I am very salt/pepper grey and Im wondering how I am going to just go from this blonde to grey. Does it eventually merge together? x
You will need to tone the new colour regularly. At home, it can be done using a purple shampoo.

Yes, we women can be really hard on ourselves and other women as well. Guys are not that way. I always had better luck working around and being around guys as opposed to women because we are too critical of ourselves and others. Maybe it says a lot about me in that I can't take the criticism but then again why should I. You look fabulous.
