Danish People: What are you saying
True
Yes
Ja, yes
Thats right
Ummm hej jeg elsker rød grød med fløde you Christmas i say jul
speciallægepraksisplanlægningsstabiliseringsperiode
Er det ét ord?!
HeyItsMe ja, det længste officielle danske ord XD
Sporvognsskinneskidtskraberfagforeningsbeklædningspersionalechefforvalter (Undskynd hvis der er stavefejl) xD
Tea D yea okay :) den var måske længere XD
XD
you should have a special episode where they pronounce norwegian, swedish and danish words, then they have to guess if the word is swedish, danish or norwegian
Omg YASSSS
Oh yeah, do that please🙏🏻
Gaskur Good one!!!
Gaskur omg yasss that would be awesome
Gaskur YES! This!! (I'm Swedish xD)
I love how the "rødgrød med fløde" was represented by a bowl of oatmeal, when it's actually made of berries, and the "hakkebøf" was represented by some huge steak, when it's a beef made from minced meat lol
tomkyleviven it’s basically a burger patty
@@AndreasJepsenMusic true
I love how they think they are saying it almost right when they aren't even close
Ainsley Harriott you ate so rigt
Ainsley Harriott i
Ainsley Harriott exactly
Well, they'll still trying, thought.
"rødgrød med fløde"
"rod grod m' flod"
*DYING*
"I feel like I'm correct"
😂😂
Lmao, i died at that part XD
Sounds like a wrestler
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man bliver helt varm inden i når folk kender lille Danmark !
Not really.
Da vi så kom med "He's been dead for over 100 years, so I think we're pretty much over it now, but thank you." kunne han godt fornemme at han bare skulle finde en anden nationalitet og hustle med i stedet :p. The more you know ;).
"All I know about danish is the pastry"
What makes it bad is that it isnt even a danish invention
And i was just thinking WHAT ABOUT LEGO?
lol
We have just mastered the craft of making alcohol that no one else likes.
In Denmark its actually called wienerbread lol. Which ofc makes sense since it Venician (not sure how to spell that correctly)
@@vicnihgin7171 Its from Vienna (Wien in danish) which is the capital of Austria
EVERYONE IS TRYING TO PRONOUNCE THE WORDS WITH A SWEDISH ACCENT AND IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE.
Also, the pastry is actually from Austria. If you wanna relate to something danish, how about Lego? :3
B34TTROLLER You pastry hater!
It's actually a combination! Get your facts straight ;)
B34TTROLLER Yeah, because it would have been really fun watching them pronounce Lego. They'd have never got that one
I know I'm half Swedish and sat here laughing at the attempts
Half danish club :)
Says "Hakkebøf" Picture of something that looks nothing like a hakkebøf
Sandt
+videobro det er sikkert ikke en hakkebøf
Det er rigtigt
De ved ikke at hakket er minced xD
jeg ved godt at det ikke er hakkebøf
"I'm not that bad"
Åh jo du er
Tænkte lige præcis det samme
haaahaha
Hahah xD

Æ is a little bit Like the Way you say e in "hey" . Can't explain ø, and Å is Like the U in "underwear" :') or the o in "Ohh" there is 2 ways to say å... I Think... It's kinda hard to explain.. Hehe
The way I had it explained to me for ø was "Rød" sound like "you're trying to say 'roll' but gave up halfway through" and from my understanding of the very few words I was given at this time and through the help of Google Translate, that tends to be the same thing where to have the o like in roll and then you just stop.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Laura Baden ø sounds a bit like a very fancy british lady saying "oh" in: "oooh, that's wonderful".
Laura Baden americans complain for all of these letters that have different sounds...they have 1 letter that can be pronounced in so many ways..depending where it is :D i think its easier with more letters
Laura Baden ø is sorta like the two o's in boot
Chris Nields This is random but I love your picture omfg
I think ALMOST everybody there is watching this video is Danish..
I'm from Denmark
I am!
Debora Angel im danish
I'm from Spain, learning Swedish, and Dansk is so weird ffs I literally pronounced all of these words as if they were Swedish words
Im from denmark hehe
You should try Finnish words. Our words are ridiculously long and difficult.
“Hurskatelevaisehkollaismaisellisuuksissaankohankin hän toimi?“ Yeah, it's almost like German words :DD
katariinas lentokonesuihkuturbiinimoottoriapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas, petoeläinporovahinkoarviopartiointikustannukset, and mustavalkotäplähylkeennahkasaapasrasvatahnarasia for example... And some awesome palindromes like suruasussa hiipii hassu saurus and saippuakauppias.

beebikinis ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
Ooksi koksi
Danes be like: "What's so hard about these words I don't understand?"
YAS
maybe because we have been grown up with the language, then we dont think its hard lol
+LoL Nurzer Er jeg? ._. Hvilke kanaler?

Også her
I'm not even remotely close to being danish, swedish, norwegian or anything but come on !
Æ = e like in help, but without the blowing sound of the H.
ø = like the french "œ" like in "chef-d'œuvre".
å = like awe from awesome or aweful.
j = is a transition sound of sorts like a Y
Alex H. MotionDesign & Tutorials
Ok then. I'm not from Scandinavia after all, so I could very well be wrong. But I've always heard those sounds.
Æ is right. Ø, Å and J doesn't always sound the same, but your examples covers one way of saying each of them pretty well :)
I'm Norwegian and that's not even close
How about:
Æ=like the 'a' in 'happy'
ø= like the 'i' in 'girl'
å= you got that one right
j= like the 'y' in 'you'
Well, too be honest. Us danes are drunk pretty often...

"It sounds like the Sims"
Plot twist, they fashioned Simlish to sound like English. So, we are the ones who talk like Sims!
Hvem i helvede bruger ordet forårsjævndøgn mere? Jeg har ikke engang hørt min farmor sige det.. Hun er 85 :p
Silje Jønsson DR vejret har vel brugt det for halvanden måneds tid siden, som de gør hvert år.

Silje Jønsson Det er der satme mange, der bruger. Det er jo sådan man adskiller de to jævndøgn.
Silje Jønsson Har aldrig brugt det i mine 27 år... :P
This makes me smile so much. I'm Danish and their pronunciation is so cute, haha :)
Charlotte Neumann *Cute* ?? Girl , my jaw almost broke !! :D
Sorry but it sounded so alien to me :D
I had to wipe the spit off my face
I'm also Danish and this was so funny I love it.

Being Danish it's pretty cringeworthy when they say that our language is like the Sims language
I just imagined myself being a Sims character
i agree its really weird watching people pronounce danish words so wrong especialy when you know how to pronounce it right
I know i Hate on the Woman that said that........... ps jeg er dansk
our langauge is not sounding like the sims PS er også dansk
Jeg er også dansk
THIS IS MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.
Oh boy trying to learn Danish as an English speaker is horrendous. No matter how hard you try its just easier to speak English.
It's weird cuz as a dane english is actually pretty easy
Just speak English if you visit Denmark, we all know English ;)
***** Yeah, a friend who visited Denmark once told me Danish sounds like 'drunk German mumbled around a potato'.
I'm an English speaker trying to learn Swedish. It's not easy.
canuckinaround
I am in the same boat; an Englishman learning Danish but I am nearly done. It takes a while though.
I just wanna stand there and show them I know how to say these words XD
Det er så sjovt at se dem fail 🙊😂
I made a video to react on this.
Me too, and then have fun watching their shocked faces xD
den her video er sjov at se når jeg er dansk=This video is funny 2 see 'cuz i'm danish

We don't even use the words: påskesøndagsprediken and forårsjævndøgn. Dudes.
Sara Knudsen Just because *you* don't ever use those words doesn't mean no one else does; both words are something you'd likely hear if you ever went to church some time in spring.

Jens Nielsen Church... Denmark.
You must be new here - Welcome to Denmark. Where we don't use churches for anything other than marriage, baptism and funerals.

Jasmine Mayne It's sad they can't really do norwegian if they have done danish, because the languages are so similar :/
But swedish is so different they could do that. But not icelandic (or how it's spelled). It is too easy. Finnish is really hard, I have heard.

Claudia Jocelyn Flores Aguilera
Ja, jeg lærer også dansk, og det er egentlig ikke så svært som nogle mennesker tror det er :P
Ibland lär jag mig till och med svenska (I'm sure I messed up the word order there), men mitt svenska är definitivt inte så god som mitt danska.
Anders Dahl Well, I'm from Mexico but I think I'm bilingual because I can speak and write in english very well, and I can understand it. I also learning other languages like, Danish, Swedish, Irish, German (It's very difficult to me), French, Italian, Portugese,Turkish (very difficult, too) and Dutch, because I love knowing many cultures and I'd like to travel around the world.
ZL123 Hallå, Jag talar bättre svenska än danska, och jag älskar att besöka i Sverige. Jeg kan ikke tale meget godt dansk (It is how what it say?) and yes, svenska är så god som mit danska. Instead of ''V'' they use ''B'' as in ''victory'' they pronounce it ''biktori''.
Just something I realized a while ago.
when I moved to Denmark a few days ago this reminded me that I will have to learn how to pronounce all of these and MORE 😤

Danish, Swedish, Finnish, and Norwegian are very hard. Makes German seem like a walk in the park. Side note: Irish sounds like the Sims language.
Icelandic is also pretty hard
+Nothing Here Tell me about it. We Danes don't understand a word of what you're saying :P
Scandinavian languages have easier grammar than german though, german grammar is hell
Jen S. German has more complicated rules than scandinavian languages, in my opinion. I am swedish and currently studying german and it is at least harder than english since I picked up decent english in a year, while l can't seem to get my head around german grammar. But maybe some people have an easier time learning certain languages, while others struggle more with them.
That's very interesting & true. Thank you for your insight!

Holy shit they actually did Danish. :]
Im half Danish and speak the language, and so glad BuzzFeed did this :]

Funniest part? Pronouncing "hakkebøf" and showing a grilled steak (bøf means steak, but hakkebøf is like minced beef/hamburger meat pushed together) and rødgrød med fløde, where you basically showed a picture of oatmeal, when it's a berry-dairy treat without grains.
But you should really try Danish food - non-translatable and hard to pronounce - but delicious no matter what.
I love Danish but my mouth does not like Danish....I struggle so much with my pronunciation. I have been trying to learn it for almost a year now and I feel like I have not made much progress with speaking it.
Hannibal Lecter Like because Hannibal is my favorite show! (onO)7 and because I'm trying to learn danish but it's so freaking hard I might quit!
Tessa BlackAngel Haha Yay! I love Hannibal as well, def my fave show. :) As for learning Danish, I have been using Duoling.com. It is really helpful. Plus, on Saturdays we have a voice chat (and there's usually at least one Dane present) to practice pronunciation. :)
Hannibal Lecter Cool I used that too ;D
+Hannibal Lecter +Tessa BlackAngel Lol hahah, I have a way of teaching English speaking people how to pronounce our "sounds". Because.. You might not know it... But you already say them. It's just extracting the sounds from words in which you already use them. Sincerely a very proud Dane, who loves the English language hahah
Rainbow Allie
But I am a spanish-speaker most of the time though.
i don't know half of this words AND I AM FROM DENMARK

It was a joke but OK.. Btw the sims language is a language in itself, NOBODY speaks like them..
Sarah Jackson true
You should've told them that Danish and English are in the same language family!! :)
Emm no yeah we have some English words we change but they are nothing like each other
+videobro They're very similar. Both are germanic languages. That's also why the danes are amongst the best non-native English speakers.
Dutch, Icelandic, Norwegian Swedish, Portuguese, Catalan, Provençal, Sardinian, German, Italian, Spanish,
YES THEY SHOULD DO THIS WITH GERMAN I've had my friends who aren't taking German in school try to pronounce German words and it's hysterical I need to see buzzfeed do it
Well, they've finally done it. But of all things, why curse words?
"They speak like the sims" 😆
Let them eat some Danish food. Here's some suggestions (Leverpostej, Tuborg Øl ''Beer'', Faxe Kondi ''Sodawater'', Yankee Chocolate Bar, Toms Frøer ''Frogs'', Cocio, ''Delicious Cocoa Milk''. Sylte, ''Some of the nastiest stuff i've ever tried'', Hakkebøf) That was to name a few.
Brunost, fy for helvede.
Kanonkuler også og lagkage
Sarah Hansen hææææ ?
Daniel Dragovic Ahahaha Sodawater xD It's just called soda :)

Srsly just stop yourself now.
Samtidig er det også meget smertefuldt at høre på😂
Just saying that’s not true
i dare you to try finnish
for example
epäjärjestelmällistyttämättömyydelläänsäkäänköhän (i wonder if it is possible, even with his unreflectional attention to antiunorganizationalize)
tiina katariina come on, this is not a real language)))
tiina katariina How do you even?
fav language tbh
This reminds me of a hillarious story I once stumbled across... sironawolf.deviantart.com/journal/What-do-you-mean-finnish-is-hard-412484980
tiina katariina I've never heard of the word"anti-unorganiz-ation-alize", but I love the Finnish!
Im Danish and Påskesøndagssprædiken is hard for me to say .-.
That's close to the Swedish word, påsksöndagspredikan (if that even is a word? xD)
Du er fandme ikke dansker!
Oliver Lehne jo jeg er haha 😂
SÅ ENIG😂😂
I'm not ethnically danish, but have lived here long enough to pronounce that correctly.
That is NOT hakkebøf. And IM NOT even from Danmark but i live there PS IM from lithaunina
Exactly. A hakkebøf is a minced meat patty. That sh*t was not minced, and it looked like pork too, and not beef :p
Lmao im Danish and this is the funniest thing ever. Thanks for making my day lol
I have no idea why you keep making these videos. It's obvious people can't pronounce words in a language they don't know.
Because its fun to watch, why else.
N00RA96 Its funny? you have no sense of humor lol
Well it seems that you find it entertaining... After all, you Chosen to clock on the video...
