A thing that i did not mention is that the spirit "Diana" assumes the form of the childs mother that has past away.
If you notice at the start the child is sleeping on ice ,that is leathal so the spirit comes and hits the ice to wake him up, then she continues to light the right path for the boy and scare him away from the different potential perils that surround him.
This is a magic video clip for sure and Diana was the only person for the role, you can not go better than this.
She really did those underwater shots by the way, there are behind the scenes videos that show her do it.
Great reaction, i can not wait for the movie my self, it already has gathered several awards from what i heard.

I was on Lake Baikal in 2018. The place is truly unusual, the sensations you experience there are impossible to describe. Local Russians have a legend that worlds intersect at the bottom of Lake Baikal, that there is a world tree guarded by an ancient spirit. If you come with bad thoughts and intentions, this spirit can plunge you into mortal depression or drag you to the bottom. If you walk with bright thoughts, then the spirit strengthens them and gives you joy and love. If you come with an unsolvable question, you need to stay at least overnight on Baikal, the spirit will show you the way (how to get out of the situation), what to do. This happened in my case, I don’t know how it works, but I understood what I needed to do.

How could it be otherwise than that she sings and of course embodies the song about the spirit of Lake Baikal. The Buryat sounds and rhythms fit perfectly with the theme of the film and Diana's voice. Her voice sounds warm, primal, mysterious, inexplicable, frightening, but somehow also comforting.
Her movements are like water, supple, flowing... and her abrupt, attacking movements associate the frightening sounds of the lake's ice breaking (video below the comment).
For me the most beautiful thing are the eyes. The boy's amber eyes look fearful and questioning, but you find yourself mesmerized by Diana's black eyes. The look so deep and knowing... goosebumps! A beautiful song and a fascinating video. I am enchanted. ❤

Story of the film: Hoping to distract the boy from the loss of his mother, his father takes him winter fishing with his grandfather. But both get caught in a snowstorm and get lost on the ice of the huge lake. The love and mysterious powers of Lake Baikal will help them overcome their grief and find each other. * Lake Baikal is a huge lake (7 largest in the world) in Siberia in Russia near Mongolia and lies in a rift valley (growth approx. 2 cm/year). It is the deepest (1642 m/ 5387 ft) and oldest lake on earth (25 million years). It is over 620 km/385 miles long and is shaped like a giant crescent moon. In some places the lake is so wide (80 km) that you can no longer see the other shore.
Lake Baikal has always been one of the holiest places in Asia. People have lived in this area for more than 20,000 years and for thousands of years they have believed in the powerful energy of the lake. Many legends surround Baikal.
Legend has it that a very large lightning bolt struck this part of the world and cut through the earth down to the groundwater. This water then flooded many valleys and mountains and became Lake Baikal.
The local Buryats call “their” lake the “Holy Sea”. One of the most famous personalities of Buryat descent was the Hollywood star Yul Brunner.
The transparency of the water is unique. Up to a depth of 40 m/131 ft you can see everything: fish, green stones, plants. An incredibly rich and unique flora and fauna arose in and around Lake Baikal.
Baikal is also considered the largest freshwater reservoir in the world - its contents could supply all of humanity for 50 years. Over 300 rivers flow into the lake, but only one river, the Angara, originates from Lake Baikal.
An international team of researchers (led by the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena, Germany) has discovered the oldest connection to date between the inhabitants of Siberia and the Indians of North and South America. (www)

Buryat, yes indeed. Strange place for a siren, but Diana has also taught us other things about the history and culture of her people. She carries it with her as only one born to it can do. And yet, she does so much more. These underwater scenes are mesmerizingly beautiful.

My interpretation:
In the beginning it is the boy who whispers in the video, and it is he who has phantoms, grief, darkness swirling around him.
The spirit of Lake Baikal, Diana tells her to no endulge in grief, pain, darkness, just follow her heart and be as resiliant like a wolf, like Baikal, and light will shine at him.
I presume in this children movie the boy way lost before the travel, due to grief. And by the end of this journey he not only finds his way out, but realises how to move in,
emotinally.

Жутко это только на первый взгляд. На самом деле дух Байкала в образе Дианы добрый, но ему пришлось заставить мальчика двигаться и бороться чтобы он не уснул и не замёрз до смерти, ведь движение жизнь.

Пробовала и других смотреть,но очень все хорошие исполнители ,но к сожалению поют в одной манере присуще именно самому исполнителю. Как говорят русские...идут по протореной дорожке. Сама я из Израиля ,но Диана пожалуй одна только меняет стили композиций при чём в одной песни по несколько раз. Уникальная девушка. Спасибо большое за реакции

Кадры с Дианой снимались в бассейне😊Зимой Байкал промерзает очень сильно,лед бывает до 3 метров в толщину да и мороз -40 в среднем😊.Диана слишком драгоценна чтобы заставлять ее нырять в полынью❤.Клип это монтаж кадров из фильма и съемок в бассейне.К слову голос Байкала планировали синтезировать на компьютере но режиссер услышав пение Дианы понял что компьютер ему и не нужен вовсе...😊

Thanks for your thoughtful reaction. I hope the film's executive producers (Russia has those) spring for a good English translation. The last few I have watched had fine interpretation. But it took those movies (and they are very good) a while to reach the US with translation. I don't know if any of that has changed, so it could be a bit of a wait. The film releases on October 19th in Russia. We are fortunate as it is to be able to enjoy Diana Ankudinova's performances as well as her voice. Without today's technologies, such a thing would be nearly impossible. I feel as if these cultural exchanges are the single most important thing the internet has to offer. Thanks again. 👍
