How did I fail to see and hear this sooner? A delightful concert program of viennesse favourites, played how these works should be played. The little pauses ("luft pausen" - I think that's correct), so subtle that they can"t be satisfactorilly notated in the score, the subtle but well-placed crescendos and diminuendos, these are the things that breath authentic life into the music. This youthful conductor (what a future that he has ahead of him), along with a spirited and exellent team of young players, give to us a concert that can be watched many times, to be refreshed on a concert of music at a time when music was happy -- unlike so much of the new music that emerges today. Bravo!
