Tales of Symphonia NGC .. Unison Attacks Explained how they Work

Here we cover in details how to use Unison attacks for the
game " Tales of Symphonia " they can be over whelming esp if you start mixing them up . I could not find any detailed commentary videos on this , so figured I would make one :) pls comment below and sub up ..

The Techs you tend to use mostly , and also Ex-spells .. reflects the new techs you learn . Plus..
The game battle system , The difficulty you pick in the new game menu .or the battle play style .. { Auto, Semi- Auto , Manual } It does not have to be Auto ... At the start menu or bios screen of the game .

This game takes me back. Unison attacks are done using the z key you must with that character be in range for a melee attack & hit a target with it to activate the unison attack, The settings for each spell that they do are based on the techniques set-up in the unison attack menu which is also the same controls that you will have access to if you switch character controls in mid battle. General speaking you will mainly be using a melee fighter to activate it. The AI won't do an unison attack at all. If you have techniques that complement each other another special attack will trigger if you use them in combat. Example: Lloyd's sonic thrust x with Kratos sonic thrust will give you cross thrust, If you use Rain's Ray & Genis High level Magic spells You can get (Prisms Stars attack) (forget which spells Genis needs to use) For more information on what type of Combo techniques Look on GameFaqs for those.
Also, Remember that Technical and Strike will affect what type of techniques each character learns after their starting techniques (basic) Ie Lloyds Demon Fang attack. Technical deals with wide area effects & multiply hits type techniques with Strike deals with stronger small number strikes with staggering effects. Lloyd has after sonic thrust; for Strike he has Super Sonic Thrust, for Technical he has Hurricane Thrust. Similar but different the forget option is to allow you to learn techniques from the different trees by forgetting the more powerful Super Sonic Thrust and allowing you if your character is Technical focused at that time to learn Hurricane Thrust. The lower level techniques chain up with the higher level techniques. Lv1 with Lv2 with Lv3.
Ex Skill Affects your Strike focus or Technical focus, Their are Items later in game that can also be used for this as well.
TIp: for Unison attacks just hold the control stick in the direction of you last attack and keep it there for each character you use in the unison attack basically the most important to map are your neutral Button and your Side to Side directions keys

For the left/right moves you don't need to do both directions. Just pick the direction your enemy is and that's it. No need to do both

I had no clue you had to be hitting the enemy to use the u attack! I wasted so many full bars that way.
