    Years late but thanks for the tips! I am just getting into it. But I am curious why you would have your main be on auto combat. Is that still fun? It just seems like taking the best part out of the game.

    For a more detailed video covering unison attacks .... I also want to add .. The game battle system , is the difficulty you pick in the new game menu .or the battle play style .. { Auto, Semi- Auto , Manual } It does not have to be Auto ...

    so basically you can automate the shit and automate only, you can never really choose which move follows another or move around the battle field with your character

    • @SeaSerpentLevi
      @SeaSerpentLevi 2 года назад +2

      You can lol
      Change the mode from auto to semi-auto or manual and you can control any character.
      You can use automate for the grinding segments i guess (because theres difficulty spikes or sometimes you need to buy a item) and then you dont have to bother for a while you just watch a video on the side.
      But for dungeon and for a boss fight you play manually its wayyyy more fun (depending on your taste theres people that like just to manage the characters via menus)
      What i dislike more on this game is not exactly the combat but the movement lol its a 3d battlefield but you only walk 2d, it takes a while to get used

    This guy isn't completely sure what he's doing here, lol, but I love this combat system. Is there a Tales game with a better combat system?

    • @Particle_Ghost
      @Particle_Ghost Месяц назад

      Vesperia, Hearts R, Graces f, Abyss and Xillia all have a better combat system. Symphony is the best out of the multi-line linear motion battle system. Out of the entire series Xillia 2 is probably the most complex in the series.

      @@Particle_Ghost tyvm, I knew somethng felt very special about Symphonia.. played it on GameCube at a glorious 60 fps, put like 90 something hours into enjoying it over and over again with its great replayability

      @@sunrisesunset1734 Some of the older games can be harder to find and their exclusive to only a single system. However, the studio is slowly remastering all of the older classics and bringing them the current gen consoles. Keep an eye out for the Tales of Graces f remastered that comes out in January, it's definitely within the top five best Tales games. If you haven't yet played the Tales of Vesperia definitive edition that's already been out for a few years now, I would stop what you're doing immediately and go pick that up. It's the best one in the series, probably about 80% of people that play Tales games would agree, including myself.

      @@Particle_Ghost Unfortunately the remaster of Symphonia on PC is terrible. I raved over it, finally got it, then was like, is this nostalgia goggles? Ths game felt way more fluid and under my complete control back in the day. When I checkd it out, the remaster is 30 fps instead of 60 fps. I had no idea.

    • @Particle_Ghost
      @Particle_Ghost Месяц назад

      @@sunrisesunset1734 The GameCube version was 60fps but they ported the PlayStation 2 version instead because it's packed with more content. There's also rumors that they lost the original source code. A studio like this isn't going to spend the money to remake the entire game. We are lucky to get anything at all including the GameCube version because the game is primarily in Japan, it was originally never set to be translated for the West. Every now and then one of those big console makers would pay for a timed to exclusive in order to help sell systems.

    how can you play another char during the battle? I mean when Lloyd or ur main char is killed. When that happens, I can't play the others manually, they suddenly stop when my main is dead and I can't use them as I do with my main.

    • @wizegamer
      @wizegamer  7 лет назад +1

      So you play with the auto system ? ..when he dies I hit one of the buttons and it brings up a manual menu during a fight .I would have to have the game on to know which button but I think its the top Y on my controller ..then I just click a rez item and cast it on him. also if you have the healer Raine set up right in strategy to heal , she rezes auto pretty well .Hope this helps .

    • @aanfansub
      @aanfansub 7 лет назад

      wize gamer I just bought the game yesterday from steam so I use the Xbox 360 controller. I got all my chars auto but my main. once my main dies, I cant use the rest as I do with my main. the only way is from the menu using some spells but not controlling the char fully. I want to control all the chars during the battle, not only the phew things from the menu

    • @wizegamer

      you can program what they do.. not each spell etc , or how they perform ..I use retain mostly for example so they don't go through mana to much .but as soon as the battle starts you use that button and then you can pick each spell to use or items . I think there is a manual option also for each toon , were you have to pick for each turn what they do .
