Beaches closed for 900 straight days

Imperial Beach has been closed for 900 days straight due to the ongoing Tijuana River sewage crisis.

My question is, with as many environmental groups that are active in California how come they aren’t all over this problem?

This is so sad! This used to be a yearly vacation for our family and it's such a beautiful community and beach area with many amazing small businesses to eat and shop at. Hope someone steps up to the plate to do something!
