I did your 70 stitch chain on 5 works and had people saying it was too snug so I increased by 14 more stitches. Now I can wear it without feeling like I'm choking...too snug. I thank you for this pattern tho. I really like it and the ladies I have given my first ones to really like them. One lady uses the cowl down around her shoulders as a cape... She's a skier and loves the extra warmth ..thanks again.

Thank you for this tutorial! I’m new to crochet, only started 2 months ago and I just made this using another video. Mine came out giant for some reason lol. It looks like I threw a blanket on my head lol!! She didn’t give any measurements only rows, and even that was confusing bc she barely spoke. I’m proud of myself for even making an actual piece besides mittens or ear warmers but man it’s giant!! I’m going to unravel it all and try again I think. But first I’m going to take pictures outside in the snow we’re getting just to laugh at myself. I knew it was looking really big but trusted the process lol. I put it on and was in tears laughing so hard at myself. It’s all part of the learning process lol I will def be trying YOUR tutorial and hopefully getting it right

I am making one for myself before I go to my chemotherapy so I can wear it when I get my treatment. I have an idea that would like to make this for children with cancer and donate it. Start with a chain long enough to fit around the child's head then adjust height of neck. Increase in 10 random points at 1st increase point then adjust height of the next 2 sections to fit child (adult is 14-15" high) child's maybe 10-12". You'll have to measure as you go along

When you switch from the neck to the hood section, you say to put one double crochet in each stitch around, with 2 in each 7th stitch, but you seem to actually be crocheting in the spaces between stitches. Am I seeing that right, or am I missing something?

Ok, I see what you changed from the last video, so you didn’t do the same increase as you did from the last video, ok got it. Also, instead of half double, you carried the same pattern as the neck portion, double crochets. Ok, got it.

@@DIYDanni is there a particular reason that you changed pattern from the first one you did?

Check your settings. Something is muted. The volume is fine.

Im not sure if someone else has ask this. But when starting the second row and saying follow the front and back stitches.when you come up to the point where you increase on the first row. Do you make one stitch front and the other one back. Or do you make them both the same stitche?
