I have an 84 shovel and really enjoyed your videos on overhauling your primary. Shovels are notorious for oil leaking from behind clutch area of the inner primary. hopefully all that work fixed your problem. I did the same thing myself and fixed most of the problem but I still get a few drops of oil on the garage floor periodically. Love the tank graphics and color of your bike. The AMF years were known for mechanical issues but they had great paint schemes. They put a lot of effort into this area but did little to address ongoing mechanical issues that plagued the bikes. This is why they nearly went bankrupt prior to the employee buyback from AMF around 1981

I had 73 FL and whatever I would do it wouldn't take long water would somehow get inside there and the plunger rig mat, come all the way back

The bike is 73, the cylinder must be a later one as it had a DOT5 sticker but I have no idea of its actual age, sorry.
