I'm so glad you reacted to this beautiful mid-tempo song by Band-Maid. Kanami compose the song while on their tour bus in the U.S. in 2023. She stated that she was moved by the response and love by their American audience after the isolation in Japan during the pandemic. They were concerned that their U.S. audience had forgotten about them and when they showed up in droves for their concerts, they realized that they were truly loved. Miku seems to have a way with lyrics that completely captures their emotions and feelings about what they do and the response to that. What a group of lovely, talented, and loving group of five young Japanese females.
After 3 long years *BAND-MAID* returned back to the US for their October 2022 US tour they were worried if the fans would remember them since last time, they performed in the states was back in 2019. But once they returned, they were pleasantly surprised on the reception they received. So surprised that *Kanami* was inspired to write a song during the tour later *Miku* and *Saiki* then began writing the lyrics and on January 9th 2023 *BAND-MAID* presented to the fans at TOKYO GARDEN THEATER. Now it is presented to the rest of the world!
Memorable is in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Bestie, Daydreaming, Anemone, About Us, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile. I’m so touched that their time in the States inspired the sentiment of Memorable. Kanami actually wrote the song on their touring bus! Thx, Phil!
