I think it's amazing how she even switches up her English accents. So in London it's a British-English accent, and in the US it's more of an American accent.
Willemijn Verkaik is one of my favourite Broadway actresses! I love her so much!
I just love Willemijn so much. It's a shame that I missed her as Elphaba in Germany and London :x
cannot express how much I admire this women and idolise her she inspired me to want to be an actress
She's beautiful. She does a great job speaking in English and could control her accent very well.
i went into the city just to meet her before her show. she was so nice, and i'm super happy i got to meet her. She's so talented.

SHE IS SO AWESOME, I'm one of the biggest 12 year old WICKED! fans in Holland, and I'm collecting money to see her in Londen. Willemijn is my favorite musical artist ever! If everyone would hear her they agree with me. Thanks for the video

Great video! :) I just saw Willemijn perform in London on Saturday 21st of June and she blew me away, Defying Gravity & No Good Dead gave me goosebumps! I've been lucky enough to see a few musicals and up to Saturday the Lion King was top of my list but everything about Wicked just topped that & then some. The songs, the set and Willemijn & Savannah as Elphaba & Glinda were flawless. Will be seeing it again soon I'm sure. And Willemijn seems soo nice in the interview :)

Actually in early 2000 Block read the part of Elphaba in the first reading of the new musical Wicked. After a few months of reading she was replaced by Idina Menzel, a decision that left Block devastated, but accepting of the decision that had been made to cast a more experienced performer in the role.

She stopped early at West End because she had to undergo back surgery and she is currently recovering from that.
On facebook she said everything is going well, so I hope we get to see her on stage soon again, hopefully in The Netherlands too. Maybe in the musical of Frozen, that would be cool!

Willemijn will join the cast of ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’ at the Playhouse Theatre which opens on 20 December till 9 May 2015. Willemijn will play the role of Paulina Morales. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is adapted from Spanish director Pedro Almodovar’s Oscar-nominated 1988 film of the same name. The story revolves around a professional movie dubber who discovers unsavoury secrets about her married lover after he abruptly abandons her.

Before she did Wicked in her hone country Holland. . I didn't knew her.. like a lot of other people. . Then she did Wicked in Holland. . Loved it! She is so good! .. she is a star! .. in Germany, Holland, US and next wil be UK..

She hopes that she will make a new album that's her dream to make a debut album of Wicked from her experience with playing the role of Elphaba in broadway! That what she said in the video tho :)

I tried to find it and I found it on Amazon (but my uncle won't by it for me), and I found out that I can download it online on your computer (my computer is busted) so I'm using my iPod to do everything including RUclips! So yeah.........
In a recent interview she said that she will be almost 1 year in West End.

the dressing room you were in is now in the process of being remodeled into more women's restrooms. as a result Elphaba now has the Wizard's old dressing room and they have moved the wizard's dressing room upstairs
Any idea what her plans, which she can not say anything about, might be? Is it another musical? I doubt she was talking about her album, couse why shouldn´t she be able to say anything about that?

This is so weird! In her British interviews, she has a British accent but here she doesn't I wonder witch accent is just an act. Still adore her though.

+TheNancyc1 Many dutch people learn english in schools with british tapes! My best friend from the Netherlands has a bit of a british accent in english!
