I agree, that is why the laws are in place (all over the country) The problem (and the reason it does make sense) is the back half of your car can be blacked out & the officers won’t be able to see anything as they pull you over from behind…
Guilty until proven innocent? If I’m not committing crimes I should be able to have it whatever I want. What if we said if you have drug violations / violent crime you can’t have wondow tint or something. I just like it bc fishbowl and the sun
You should trying living in the UK lol. Are law's for this kinda thing is a lot worse. We can customise but it all has to be with in legal standards. Cat deleted would get your car crushed. You have to run expensive cat back sistem. Wrap your car more than 50% you must inform the government and insurance.
@@auffq sorry man. What is funny is in the UK anything 20 year's old you can basically do what you like to. Modern car's is a different ball game in the UK. As long the car didn't have a cat from new then you don't need one, that kinda thing. Even a new car if it has loud pipes from factory then it's legal but if it didn't then you brocken the law.
If it's anything like Missouri a ton of local po-dunk PDs hand out bonuses based on ticket quotas. And especially around the STL area, these are exactly the kind of BS fines that drag people (usually the ones who can least afford the time/hassle) into the abyss that is STL County traffic courts.
The reason some states have laws against certain levels of window tint is for officer safety. When an officer approaches a vehicle with windows up and dark tint, they can't easily determine if there are other people in the car or if they are reaching and pulling out a weapon which limits their opportunity to react to a threat and defend themselves. From what I understand, some states also allow medical exemptions (i.e. people with skin cancer that require protection from UV light, etc.). It might seem like a stupid reason for 99.9% of law-abiding citizens, but there is a reason, it's not just arbitrary. God bless our law enforcement.
@@Realrockygs IF that were happening, in the majority of states in the US that still bother to enforce some of these ridiculous (& often antiquated) tint violations kids could very easily be abducted in vehicles with window tint fitting perfectly into legal parameters.

@Yankee Fan kids are gettting trafficked all the time in the US, the news doesn’t cover it but I promise you if you type it in you’ll see all the trafficking that is being reported, tinted windows on cars/trucks/vans can hide the kids behind the glass from being seen by other drivers and or law enforcement

I’ve been in law enforcement long enough that if a traffic stop last longer than it would take to write a ticket which is considered a unreasonable detention they are supposed to let you go… so if you were stopped for a minor traffic infraction like window tint and they waited for that long for a battery then you had to wait longer for them to write you that is considered by Supreme Court case law as an illegal detention and he should have warned and sent you since he didn’t have the correct equipment working in a timely manner. Talk this one to an attorney
You know what a great fleet would look like, all matte cars. You used matte ppf on your raptor use it for the merci, venti, and gallardo. The skittles fleet would be epic 💎
I think you’re right, but I don’t agree with the law. They said the rear windows can be as dark as you want, so the person being pulled over could reach for a weapon before, or as the officer is walking up without them ever seeing it.
in the UK the law is at least 70 percent of light needs to pass. the law here is not for the danger of guns more so people can see who is driving for any road violation that happens. with limo tints you could have a 10 year old driving and know one would know, i would guess the states are the same but with guns added.
No thats not why. The reason why window tint is enforced is to give cops the ability to look into your vehicle without the need of a warrant. Its a loophole created specifically to get around needing a warrant to search your property. It's bullshit
@@BakedF8 But if that were true, wouldn't tint be outlawed on all windows, not just front? In many states, the back windows can be as dark as you want.

My guess is that law is there to protect cops so when they walk up on a car they can see inside. Also if someone does something illegal people can see who is driving etc. I still remember years ago a friend’s dad had a ZR1 with super black tint and the cops made him peel it off on the spot.
That’s exactly why it’s a law. I got enough fix it tickets they always said it’s for there safety.
I agree, that is why the laws are in place (all over the country)
The problem (and the reason it does make sense) is the back half of your car can be blacked out & the officers won’t be able to see anything as they pull you over from behind…

You should trying living in the UK lol. Are law's for this kinda thing is a lot worse. We can customise but it all has to be with in legal standards. Cat deleted would get your car crushed. You have to run expensive cat back sistem. Wrap your car more than 50% you must inform the government and insurance.
@@chriscollins550 ong it's so annoying my uncle tried tuning his car but got it destroyed

@@pineappletacos4727 but how much does the government really care about child trafficking, they probably put these tiny laws in place decades ago and never looked back
@Yankee Fan kids are gettting trafficked all the time in the US, the news doesn’t cover it but I promise you if you type it in you’ll see all the trafficking that is being reported, tinted windows on cars/trucks/vans can hide the kids behind the glass from being seen by other drivers and or law enforcement

The skittles fleet would be epic 💎
yessssir
They probably have that law so they can see if someone is reaching for a weapon. Not saying it’s a great law, but that’s probably why.
I don’t think that’s why. I remember I knew why but it wasn’t that
I think you’re right, but I don’t agree with the law.

The tint thing is almost always just a fluff law used to justify pulling someone over that they want to. If they want to pull someone over, there’s like 30 of these laws they can use to justify it. If they don’t like you it becomes “I’m detecting the odor of marijuana”
