    You ask the audience before you do the 50/50. You get more of a sense of the right answer when all four possible answers are out there.

      @Agirmetal Год назад +4

      Good idea

    • @zackq8865
      @zackq8865 Год назад +20

      Not if your going for the million. The ask the audience lifeline is almost always useless in those upper tier questions. The 4 choices would just spread the percentages out more. You could end up with 25% across the board there. I think he did the right thing by using the 50/50 lifeline first.

    • @hsupower
      @hsupower Год назад +3

      @@zackq8865 I think David had an idea of the answer when the question came up. The interesting thing is that the four answers were from four different continents. If it was four counties from South America, it would have made it a harder question to answer.
      I remember watching some of the Paddington Bear cartoons growing up, I remember it was a South American country for its origin. Thus, when those answers came up, it was a time to confirm the thoughts with the lifelines.

    • @obscurereference6298
      @obscurereference6298 Год назад +5

      @@zackq8865 this is 100% incorrect. You want to dilute the incorrects between 3 and the corrects to 1. You will never get 4 x 25% that way.

    • @hsupower
      @hsupower Год назад

      @@obscurereference6298 The approach that is being was done by Bernie Cullen when he won the million.
      Cullen kept the four answers up for the audience to consider on the million dollar question. Cullen had two answers in mind. When, the 50-50 was used, Cullen got the break he needed when the second most voted answer was eliminated. From there, Cullen had a clean path to the million.
      In this instance, I have no problems with the way David used his lifelines on the final question. He had an ideas of the answer and he wanted to confirm in the best way possible.
