I assume you speak of the Roman Catholic Church when you say Catholic Church. The two are not the same. Unity is not found in your liturgical service. Unity can only be found in the person of Christ and the hearts of man. We are to eat His body and drink His blood and remember Him. I believe the "remembering Him" is the operative while we are partaking of the body and the blood. There are consequences for not remembering and discerning.
I could be wrong but I see the Roman Catholic Church separating the body and blood from the person of Christ. I have observed your Liturgy. I believe you have elevated your liturgical service itself to idol status. How can this bring unity? Remember Isa 29:13 "Wherefore the Lord said, forasmuch as this people draw near to me with their mouths and their lips do honor me, but they have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught by the precept of men," (traditions learned by rote).
Amen!! I have gone up the mountain myself and have experienced Him first hand. I share the Gospel to others daily, it has just been so hard to get them to truly listen. I love everyone as Christ has asked us to do. Yet, people even Christians are uncomfortable with that level of love and acceptance. Sometimes it feels like I am seen as a simple minded person, or emotionally handicapped because I am so quick to forgive and continue loving others. I by no means am a sheltered or innocent person. One who hasn't seen or experienced the evil that people are capable of. God has blessed me with the ablity to love, accept and forgive my brothers and sisters. I thank God for the good, the bad and the in the middle. I have learned to rejoice in my struggles, I am acctually honored that God trusts me to endure and overcome such advisrity. Thank You Jesus!! Sidenote: I remember you Francis from Rocky Peak, Simi Community, and then my family followed you to Cornerstone back in 1996-97. When we had Church next to Chuck E Cheese. I was very happy to have found you posted your sermons on RUclips a few years back. I also got your book Crazy Love. You are still a great speaker and I greatly appriciate your honesty about your thoughts, convictions and questions in regards to the effectiveness and selflessness that is nessecary being in leadership during such a crucial time in the history of the Church. When people are lovers of self and want the attention and accolades personally. I think you do a great job of putting Christ and His word center stage, even though physically you are the one on stage. OK, this is getting long. I need to go into the grocery store. Lol.

Zap Brannigan I’m more concerned for the condition of your soul. You are of the wrong spirit. Did you not hear what this dear man of God said? Do you fear God? Touch not God’s anointed. It’s terrifying to think of how many people can hear this profound truth and come away with a question so off topic as if the power of God WASN’T just demonstrated through His messenger so clearly.
Zap Brannigan I am still waiting for someone here to show me what he is lying about. I’m dead serious. I don’t go to his church. I listen to Todd White because he challenges his listeners to walk out their professions of faith. It’s not enough to be hearers of the Word and not doers. I’m tired of hanging out with the frozen chosen that want to sit and soak to no avail. The gospel is alive and moving. It’s not just a book that we sit at all day and meditate on. It’s where we feed and then find those who need to hear what we have been shown. The gospel is a call to action and that’s exactly what Todd does. Why do you think people listen? I’m a very strict christian. I don’t participate in much of anything. I hang out with the Holy Spirit and immediate family. I enjoy long periods of time in my Word just as you probably do but if it doesn’t provoke me to move and show that love then what is it? It’s religion, a set of rituals. Todd doesn’t at all display ANYTHING that I can judge him negatively by. So he doesn’t fit the mold of preacher? Ok, we all know that when we watch but what is he doing? He is sharing what God is doing in and through him. He is building others up and I’m sorry if he doesn’t stand there with his word and lead the people through. He has shared what he believes God is using him to do and I don’t think he’s said he’s strictly a preacher. I know one thing and I’ll leave it at this. When I began to listen to his testimony and his daily events something inside of me shifted even closer to God. Scripture speaks of people walking out their faith according to the gospel and I SAW it at work in him. I realized I was seeing the real deal. It was very inspiring and there’s nothing wrong with inspiring other believers to chase after the Lord. As far as his doctrine, He weaves the gospel into everything he talks about but no, I wouldn’t consider him a pastor? He is a wonderful man of God and we should be praying for him and showing him grace. God is not pleased with this constant obsession with hunting the wolves. Acts 5:35 -39 has a pearl of wisdom that we can relate to this discussion. 35And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men. 36For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him. He too perished, and all who followed him were scattered. 38So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; 39but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. Zap Brannigan I mean this with all respect and I appreciate how respectful you are being but I had a feeling that you were a John Mac follower. Please don’t take this personal but John has turned me off completely. I’m gonna run from him because when I compare the heart and spirit of a John Mac and a Francis Chan it’s like night and day. I don’t see what Francis says as unscriptural or a different gospel. He has always struck me as a complete Bible believing evangelical. John has an extremely critical spirit and his heart is not right. When he called some Christian’s worship “mindless babble” I was out of there. See, I don’t believe the gifts died with the apostles or that they were strictly a sign for that time. I don’t see that scripture supports this. I am a spirit filled believer and I am a walking example of this truth. I don’t flaunt anything and my prayer language is personal to me. It’s something I was given at the age of 7 and it was more real to me than anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. I too though do not align myself with Catholicism and think if Francis Chan has determined to do so, it is an attempt to bring the full and true gospel to them. We can’t always see in full what God is doing through others but someone has to do it, right? Who will witness of the true gospel to them if a Francis Chan doesn’t come along? Jesus had to show up for the woman at the well. She surely wasn’t gonna come and hang out in His inner circle. The take away is this. We have to know that WE are in line with God’s will and do all that we can to show this dying world His gospel and love. Please consider stepping outside of your comfort zone if you haven’t. The Holy Spirit has a way of not showing up the way we picture Him to. 😬

Jesus said, when He raised Lazarus, that you shall see the glory of God. We want to see miracles because we want to see God's glory. We are hungry and thirsting to see God's glory because His glory is an extension of Himself. We love God and therefore we want to see Him. This thirst shall increase until the day of our rapture when from that point forward we shall see Him forever.
It's through GRACE we are saved, all works were completed on the cross. The walking out of our salvation isn't through Hail Marys (religious) its personal knock and the door will open be attached to his vine then bare good fruit and share that fruit 🍉 with his lost sheep
it's kneeling before a Christ that hung and died for you to personally know him that you believe in Him. Be careful that you don't honor him just with your lips because he's a heart reader and can see that your heart maybe far from him ......

Mr. Chan it seems as though you are on a personal journey toward Truth and true unity with the Church. It feels as if you are seeking and yearning for a depth and fullness that I believe you are very close to finding. I have been praying for you for several months now that you are led home.
There will be venom and anger and animosity directed at you like a flooding wave, but I believe you have the love and devotion to the Lord our God and the courage to triumph with the grace of God.
And please remember that our Lord’s own disciples were weak and broken, cowards and traitors and doubters, yet with these broken tools established his Bride, the Church on earth. It isn’t about the broken or weak tools but about the transformative power of God.
Passover.... We get to participate in a beautiful and holy celebration. Plus, we can do it daily... This is amazing.
May God help him rejoin the Catholic Church... he's beginning to understand how God made it work.

Gina, you have no idea of what's going on: All you know about the Catholic Church comes from protestant sources, which rely on protestant misunderstandings and generations of anti-Catholic propaganda.
Many thought as you did, without seriously looking at what the Church taught, only relying on what your pastors and ex-catholics who never knew their faith to begin with had to say about it... *how can you even hope to get the full picture.*
Truth is, the smartest and most God-loving protestants always end-up recognizing the Catholic Church as being the TRUE Church, the one preached about in the first centuries; being completely similar in beliefs and practices.

Well I could say the same thing: If you interpreted it like that, you clearly didn't consider the fullness of scripture, or missed the contexts.
Our doctrines are completely biblical. *Pick one **_(Primacy of the Church, Eucharist, regenerative Baptism, etc)_* and I'll show you verses and Church Father notes from the early centuries supporting them. _(except Marian theology, which you should tackle only when you got the rest.)_

@@maryruffcorn1358 Catholics don't get too excited about him speaking about Communion. Communion is important for born again Christians and for many Christian denominations, false and true.
Jesus commanded we take Communion in remembrance of Him. It keeps the all important memory of Him shedding His blood for us and the breaking of body for us. It is done as a community to represent our oneness as The Body of Christ.
Nothing he said pointed out Communion as the Catholic false version, of it actually turning into Jesus's blood and His body and all the accompanying false doctrines attached to this false understanding of the meaning of Communion.

God's Word, when preached, is the Power of God unto Salvation for all those who hear and believe, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God. But those who harden their hearts, and disobey the truth (or suppress the truth) will be lost.
But again, the preacher's job is simply to preach. Declare the Word clearly, without adding to it, or taking away from it.

To “remember” for Jews of that time meant to continually keep it in the present as is done during the Jewish Seder and is being done every hour of every day in a Catholic mass. Jesus said, “This is my body” and the bread obeyed.” The Eucharist IS Jesus’ flesh.

Your interpretation is incorrect, because you understates that Christ was referring to _his_ body not being profitable. *If you say that, you're also saying that Christ's incarnation wasn't profitable, and this is heresy.* The bodily death of Christ on the cross was what gave us a chance at salvation. The more protestants try and go around official Catholic teachings, they end-up doing mistakes like this, because *you guys are the ones twisting scripture.*
Both of you should get a King James. Read it again slower. He is explaining that when you receive him; only the spirit profits; not the flesh. See if you read to fast you will miss it. It also counts with what intentions you are reading. You see when you read the word of God. He knows what intentions you have. I’ve only used the Lords own words here. @@mrberns4525 No sir: When he says that the flesh profits nothing and that his words are of the spirit: the word "flesh" refers to our bodies/senses not being capable of discerning. That's 2000 years of undisputed tradition right there, and supported by the Early Church.
If you want proof, see what he means by "the flesh" in *Matthew 26: 41,* which again, is a reference to our own bodies not being able to follow our will. The "flesh" is weak", just as the "flesh" profits nothing.
And remember, if Christ's body wasn't profitable, his death on the cross *had no purpose.*

Grace Pilgrim anyone who calls the worship of others “mindless babble” is treading on dangerous ground with the Holy Spirit and that’s what actually came from his pious mouth during his mocking session of the word of faith movement. There are so many hurdles for a Protestant to become Catholic. Even though, Francis believes in the doctrine of Eucharist, he still needs to overcome many more doctrines like the papacy , Mariology, faith and works, purgatory, reconciliation, and etc

He's saying it depends on you. (Note: Francis uses the words "it depends on God" but what he's actually teaching is "it depends on you.") That's why, for so many, the "Christianity" taught today is crazy making.
Every step of the way, "Christianity" preaches that the expression of Gods power toward you and through you, depends on you, thus why Christ is almost entirely of no effect in the church.
Case in point: Are we saved by Gods grace or because we choose to believe? (They're NOT the same thing.) If you say people have to choose to believe, or repent, confess, etc. then does salvation depend on God or them?

The word grace means the empowering presence of God in essence. Saved by grace means to be saved because God came and cleaned us up and empowered us to walk righteously,He does what we couldn't do without Him!

Now he understands why in the Catholic church we have Saints....St Francis of Assisi.....walked on that mountain ......and we are called to be Saints...that can only happen with the sacraments that give us sanctifying grace....but we have to be living in the state of life according to the will of God....this is why we have so many married catholics that are not living in the state of life according to the will of God....men that are supposed to be priest.....they are married...and in those marriages they never going to get graces for sanctification...because they are not living on this life in the vocation that God had for them...in addition they are probably practicing the abuse of natural family planning....so it is even worse....
