Brilliant video. Great showcase with amazing combination frame designs. The Jasper looks cool but I love the Marc with the blue and gold. Yes please👍I think I'm more minimalist but bold is cool too! 😎
That blue and gold combination is incredible, isn't it?
Glasses and life come down to self esteem and confidence.
💯
No winner. The secret of happiness is variety, but the secret of variety, like the secret of all spices, is knowing when to use it. Always have both 🙌🏻
That's a theory to live by!
I love both style, both beautiful in their ways. Great presentation y'all 😎
Thanks James!
Minimalistic and vintage is my look. I usually prefer acetate for sunglasses and titanium or stainless steel for everyday frames. My style is very casual. I mostly wear jeans with t-shirts or Hawaiian shirts. I love Reykjavik, Flair, Lindberg, Mykita, Matsuda,LaFont, Moscot and Barton Perreira frames.
Nice! I kind of agree
Worn glasses all my life. That's almost 50 graciously beautiful years. Couldn't live without my glasses. I've always believed it's not what you wear but how you wear it.
Over the years I've worn more bolder frames, mostly hand made in Japan and some from Italy. Current pairs are from JMM and Cutler and Gross.
I have a confession to make 😂. Came across your channel for whatever reason. I have 'devoured' every video you uploaded in the last 2 years, just in a week. I'm in search of a gem, it must be minimalistic, titanium, gold plated and must be handmade in Japan.
Matsuda, Masunaga, Barton Perreira or even Dita Eyewear. Searched, but found nothing that appeals to me. Kinda lost. Shape must be Panto. I've even considered Lindberg Eyewear. Can't get Reykjavik Eyes frames here in Germany. Kinda lost, and that's driving me nuts.
Hey! So, thanks for your support. I really appreciate it, honestly. And we can ship RE to you over in Germany. They tick every box EXCEPT made in Italy rather than Japan. Usually, Italy is nowhere near to Japan in terms of titanium manufacturing, but RE use a very exclusive, small workshop and they have it down to an art. Honestly, they might as well be Japanese.
Aside from that, you could also look at Cartier? Their titanium frames are gold plated and made in Japan.
leisure society's pallisade, reyes and dryden fit the bill
the Japanese brands tend to be more traditional designs, kinda boring. yuichi toyama?
It's all about personality and lifestyle. For me, I have to start with an everyday pair. Must be something comfortable, light and no too bold. This one I use for general living if I may say so. But, there're cases when I could use something more ostentatious and eye-catching. I do deliver speeches on conferences now and then; when you're on the stage, a bit of statement with your glasses isn't a bad idea. Dinning out at a fine restaurant isn't exactly a place for your most understated wardrobe pieces including glasses either. Celebrations in general call for some boldness on one's face too.
So, for me it's at least two pairs: one everyday, understated option and one statement piece. Everyone's lifestyle is different, so other people may require a different set.
I agree with you completely.
If you're going to wear glasses, you may as well go with relatively bold frames. After all, glasses are a fashion statement!
Adam is way too bold but I respect his choice, suits his personality.
I personally would go for in-between to thin but again not too thin.
What I'm learning is that comfort, individual taste and personality is a big plus in choice of eyewear.
Just say you agree with me, it's OK 😅
You guys are so fun to watch ☺️
Thanks! We try our best.
Thanks guys for putting this together. I couldn’t really say that there’s a winner in this debate. I feel that you’ve both educated me on the reasons to go minimalistic or bold. Personally I tend to be more minimalistic like Robert, but Adam makes very valid points as to how you could express yourself with bolder looks. Have a good weekend guys 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Thank you, Philip! That was the idea, to present both sides - there isn't a right or wrong (although I'm more right than Adam, of course 😉)
Bold/ unique is my style. JF Rey for glasses Dita/ matsuda for sunglasses
Nice! Amazing choices 👍
Love your content. I’m super picky when it comes to getting new glasses. And I wish you would do more of minimalistic, turquoise, leaning on the thin, light weight, durable women frame recommendations
OK, thanks for the feedback! I'll try to do more ladies content soon
I have worn glasses since I was 8 years old, 68 now. The only frames my parents allowed were plain black semi-chunky frames. I'm platinum blonde and can't express my dislike for big plastic frames. But I am an artist so I express my style with color or interesting design. In the US Ovvo is common, IC Berlin is seen occasionally. I am tending to something metal with color. I have been thinking about some chunkier clear frames with photochromic though...
Nice. I'd love to help, if you want me to.
Crystal is a cool idea. Maybe blue photochromic?
What frames are you guys wearing at the start of the video?
I'm wearing the frames in this video: ruclips.net/video/VrbzLPlT2ro/видео.html&
And Adam is wearing a pair by Albert, I'm Stein
What is the full name of the bold eyeglass frame in the thumbnail I know it’s robert la roche but which specific on.
I forgot the name but I'm sure it comes up on screen when we showcase it in the video. Email me via rob@thespectaclefactory.com if you want a pair
@@thespectaclefactory Would you guys be able to deliver in U.S?
Where do they sell these in the us? Cant find price online
Not sure, but we have shipped many of them to clients in the US. Email us via hello@thespectaclefactory.com for help
In high powered negative lens rimmed frames there is an white edge which gives very pathetic look ,,please suggest some ways to reduce that Sir.
It needs to be polished. We do this on every high minus lens
@@thespectaclefactory thank you sir for reply 💛 ...please also make a video someday to show that if possible
Great idea!
Yet another consideration is the field you work in and the dress code. Lawyers and corporate employees for example should avoid wearing thick flashy glasses like the plague when at work, whereas people working in more creative fields can easily get away with thicker, bolder glasses. It also depends on the dress code the employer imposes, many corporate offices have rules about what styles of glasses employees are and aren't allowed to wear in the office.
Absolutely - it's all about personality and your profession is a huge part of your personality!
@@thespectaclefactory For some people their careers are part of their personality. Those are the lucky relative few who can and do earn a living doing what they love.
At 3.24 you did yourself proud. The rest don’t do you justice.
You guys should take a look at David Beckham’s eyewear…
You will be surprised…
Forget Tom Ford.
Both are Italian made and one is cheaper!
I absolutely hate having to wear glasses. I hate having them on my face. I can very rarely find any that stay put. I hate having to look through them. I have frameless minimalist no frame titanium frames.
Embrace it! Try to see your glasses as an accessory and as an item of Tech
To be honest, I have not seen a person who can carry bold frames like Adam do. ON the other hand, Robert you carry minimalist frames and tints extremely well. therefore, IMO it boils down to the dressing and look (hair color and hairstyle). Experiment: Robert dyes his hair blond and Adam dyes his black…then Robert tries the bold frames again while Adam does the opposite. Then lets see….
Please tell me what does he wear the glass bland name ?

Those are Robert la Roche! We can ship them all over the world if you want a pair
Watching your channel is dangerous……made me buy a sick $$$ pair over a commercial substandard boring pair. Thanks 🫶🏼.
Last pair gradient tint is sick.
Trying to figure out if you pair the tint with the use or the frame or against skin tone or shade?
Haha I can't apologise for that 😅
To answer your question, though - all of those things are a factor.
@@thespectaclefactory and that is why you are good at your job.
Other glasses highly rated in the US (according to an optician here) is i.c Berlin. Keep up the great content. 👍🏼
IC Berlin are great! We only don't stock it because of Reykjavik Eyes, which is our best selling brand.
@@thespectaclefactory and I think you are the only guy who can pronounce it. I’ve rewinded your videos tons of times to try to catch the pronunciation. No luck yet 😂
Hahaha, it took me a while!
