This is a fabulous interpretation of a fabulous song. Not only that, the techniques you're showing us are applicable to so many other songs. Thank you very much indeed!
I love all of your videos, you’re so talented. Thank you for helping us to learn our favorite songs, you’re the best piano teacher. Greetings from Mexico.
Hi Francesca!! 😊 an amazing song. This is an awesome tutorial for a piano accompaniment Very well explained. Thank you for showing us all the chords . Favourite part is the bridge with those high notes. It is great to see the play through. 👍👏
Thank you so much for this tutorial because I was wanting to play this song on piano and sing it at the same time since I sang this at a recent concert of mine and I wanted to perform it and a recital and sing it and I did not know where to start! Thank you so much for this!
I love The Police, especially this song. I'm thinking of what mashing this up with "Stand By Me" - Ben E. King would be like. Want to try a tutorial on this? Love your work Francesca, thank you.
Love your channel! This is a really old song and prob not very popular but any chance of doing a tutorial for The Tower by Chris DeBurgh? It's a beautiful song!
The song was recorded in A-flat, and although A-natural works because there is a cold distance about both keys, please note that there will be a subtle change in emotion to the song. A-flat, a key often associated with death, creates a maximum feeling of disconnection. A-flat is like cold, ice blue. A-natural is also cold and flat in texture, but it is more grounded rather than the more celestial A-flat. The original song is almost God himself singing "i'll be watching you." Whereas the key of A, a sort of blue-violet, is more like an aching, un-requited love. I think it's fine to learn this in A major. (G-major, a turquoise, watery-colored key, would have ruined the song completely).
I think your comment holds a red flavor and is leaning towards a deciding factor of plop. A hint of yellow in the red tint and it incorporates negative vibes. Like a red but in the -1 of the realm of the red color spectrum. I feel a magenta or almost a carmine. Almost an A flat with the tuning a full step above. I'm going to disconnect from this post because it's horrifying. Write or play a song with real heart and don't spread negative criticism. Shame on you
@@billmiller520 Keeping in mind that A-flat being akin to Blue has an opposite note (it's tritone), the exact opposite of what i explained about A-flat can be applied to the key of D. (I mention this for further reference to the readers).
Also, I don't think I mentioned A-flat is being geometrically reflective of a circle. And it's complimentary tone, D, is shape of a trapezoid (which is the OPPOSITE shape of a circle. Meaning it is the basic shape that is most unlike a circle.) You don't seem to want to process this, or believe my statements, but again, I offer this for further reference to the readers a large.@@billmiller520
@@BitesizePiano Yesss. Absolutely 🤗. And If I could fly is such a wonderful song on piano. I've always wanted to learn it. Also, I just wanted to thank you for such wonderful tutorials. You truly are amazing. You have no idea how many songs I've learnt because of you. So thank you 💖
I got the first part of this, which was explained brilliantly, then when it got to the verse and the bridge it was written down differently and too fast for me as a beginner, so I was unable to play the whole song.
This isn’t aimed at beginners. Remember you’re meant to pause tutorials, rewatch sections, write down notes etc. If you’re trying to learn it in real time of the video, then that’s not always realistic. RUclips videos can also be slowed down.
I’m not going to remake this entire tutorial, when all you need to do is make each note a semitone higher. It STILL won’t match the pitch on the track, however.
Suppose " breath you take " is hopefully re ,ne, re ma, just saying, , tell such from 7 tunes an equivalent for the the lyrics , even if at places it's joint tunes . this a, b , f thing not known by ✌️
Not e, d c sharp = every breath , do like SA, re, pa, nee way , in sorolipi manner locally, can't do that by self cause have no patience to correlate each word sung to its synonymous sound by plugging each of seven tunes to the melody of each word or sentence audible , , never cultured this, so my ear's ability to pic sound from 7 tunes and correlated it to the sung is underdeveloped , if you can do by listening and segregating like just saying, evry for pa pa , breath for , re and similarly what ever for each word or letter like you have memory of which stick is c sharp or a or c , then it will be helpful, actually just my memory is bad, and from awkwardness or fear of memory not my cup of tea , never learned any instrument ✌️
Am familiar with SA re Ga ma pa dha ni sa, max can correlate do re mi , but a,d, c,e, f stuff never learnt and have no idea to what these letter help for particular soundings to, Supposeed , Jodi tor daak sune = SA re ne sa re sa re. That way tell the equivalent for every breath you take, honestly and determined can't and won't put expertise and effort for finding so for the sake of playing an instrument , am sorry , can you do the wOrk and provide the blueprint ✌️
