Someone told me na parang na-scam daw ako sa taxi na 39$ from darling harbour to ibis hotel 😱 13$ lang daw pala sa UBER 😅 so alams nyo na 🤣
True! Better to take uber or tram/train or just walk around the CBD. Also, prices at convenience stores are expensive. You can buy essentials at supermarkets like Woolworths, Coles. They also have weekly half price items. Hope you would still go back and visit Australia in the future. Once you know the tips and travel hacks, expenses shouldn't be that costly like your first day.😊
Hi JM!
This is why it is ALWAYS IMPORTANT to RESEARCH before travel. Could’ve been avoided, especially if youre a travel content creator.🙂
yes dont take taxi in sydney they are over price. always take uber or didi or better train
JM you were not scammed. Taxis just charge more than Uber except during commuting hours when Uber has higher prices due to surge pricing. Also, making mistakes and getting lost is part of traveling as long as you are safe in your travels it's all part of the experience. I remember traveling to New York City and paying $100 for deli sandwiches which is obviously a ridiculous price but it was in Times Square which is definitely a tourist area.
JM is not a full-time travel content creator. he's a corporate employee who just started documenting and sharing his travels, and is doing so authentically- like he always has. laging may mishaps and we like that bc he's not pretentious and perfect. idk why people are so pressed, napaka toxic na ng comments ngayon. if he's not your cup of tea, just exit the video. simple.
@@xoox123 if you are content creator and can’t accept other people comment just quit and exit also on YT simple as that
@@kongdhingtv1331 he's free to do whatever he wants because this is his channel. di siya namimilit na panoorin siya. ikaw, san mo nakuha ung karapatan mong magsabi sa iba na mag quit sila sa YT career nila?
@@kongdhingtv1331 uhm, kasi clearly naiirita kayo? so bakit niyo pinapahirapan mga sarili niyo dito? make it make sense. 😂

To those who are saying that JM could have exercised courtesy whilst filming "private" people, I believe he has taken note of the same and would advise his editor to blur next time just in case some people were still captured during vlogging. There is no need to be eristic over a vlog that is supposed to be a feel-good one 😊
Still the crab mentality of some people. They stay watching then hating… can’t even comprehend that . Y would u stress and waste time if u hate the video , y not skip it. But hey,its still monetizing un n lng isipin nya. He still gets his money even with the haters .
Agree😢
But still we are glad na nasshare nya itong mga napuntahan nyang lugar sa atin.
Korek...jm is true Pinoy... humble not perfect guy but of energy when it comes to sharing his xperienced from travelling abroad which is very helpful....ingat bro stay healthy.
Fire alarms in Australia are easily triggered - at least take comfort in the knowledge that they are in good working condition especially in the event of a real emergency. Tap water is safe to drink - no need to buy bottled water. But if you still must, better to purchase them from Woolies or Coles. Aside from the Harbor Bridge, the Opera House, Chinatown and The Rocks, be sure to visit QVB (Queen Victoria Building) in the daytime - it’s very beautiful and has Old World vibes. Btw, don’t be surprised if they ask you if you are a “Filo” - that’s what they call Filipinos here in OZ. Enjoy and stay safe, JM.
Proud of you Kuya JM!! 🥹❤️vlogs mo lang ang naging guide namin when we had our 1st out of country trip. Don’t mind the critics, what makes your vlog unique is the authenticity of your experiences. Stay safe always!!!!!
Ambait naman ng server sa Andersen. Ang friendly pa. Hoping that you will experience more fun and meet kind people on your vacation. Take care JM!
If that would have been a real fire chances are you might have been trap there already. You are not supposed to pack when the fire alarm went off.😅 you should have head downstairs straight away. Your life is more important than those material stuffs.
It is winter the nights are longer and the days are shorter.
And no you were not ripped off by the taxi driver. That is just normal.
Water is potable in the hotel. There are even public drinking area in parks.
Most shops here accepts cc.
Buy at Woolies(woolworths) and coles instead of 7/11. Way cheaper.
Please avoid pointing your camera at people without asking permission esp. children.
You pick the wrong area to stay. You are better off staying near town hall, martin place, china town or darling harbour.
Make use of the tram line.
Get use to a lot of walking . Most of the time walking is the best option in Sydney.
Aside from opera house, bondi, manly, bronte, the grounds of alexandria, the rocks, you can try visiting blue mountains when you get the chance.
Enjoy Sydney and hopefully you learn something from the fire alarm incident that life is what matters the most. 😊
Mate, you dont get the necessary things or should I say you dont get anything at all if the fire alarm goes off, you just leave! Seconds are very crucial if there is fire. Lucky it was a false alarm. Anyway, hope you enjoyed your Sydney hols.
luh
Trye, i think hindi pa sya sanay sa mga ganyan and they don’t do drills like what we do here in Australia. JM should have left everything behind, maybe bring passport and cellphone only.
As a frequent traveler, what you shouldn’t forget are cash/usd and adapator if you don’t want any inconvenience😅 madami sa shopee na 10 in 1 adaptors.
Yes, I’m quite surprise he missed the most important things when travelling doesn’t matter if its just Asia. Cash when travelling is a must and adaptor is a standard when going outside in any country.
I am from Perth WA and worked in hotels here and it's a common event for the fire alarm to go off not for fire reasons but usually due to guests smoking in the room or from shower steam.
The water in Sydney is drinkable it’s probably one of the best in the world lol. Pls don’t waste $7 in water at a convenience store.
For cheaper pricing go to Coles or Woolworths.
Fire alarms are mandatory and are rather sensitive gadgets. It’s not the hotel it’s the fire alarm on the ceiling that’s sensitive. Not worth charging hotels.dont let it scare you. What would be scary if it was a real Fire and that alarm didn’t work
Sydney is one of the most expensive city in the world lol. But , I do hope you enjoyed your holiday
Living in Singapore for 10yrs here and when I went to Sydney last month, it’s way more expensive in Sydney. But yeah, I kinda enjoy there because of the weather🥰
@@ajvasquez534Maybe in terms of food but other than that I believe Singapore is more expensive like buying a house and car.
@@jana8849 yes definitely a car is way expensive because of the certificate of entitlement which costs $100k+++ plus the price of the car is another $$$$$
@@jana8849 our 3 room house(72sqm) costs $415k so im not sure how much in Australia.
@@ajvasquez534 our 3 room house in 800 square meter land with swimming pool in a Regional area costs about 400,000. I have vegetable garden and fruit trees in my backyard which means some of the vege and fruits I eat are free lol..
From someone who lives in Australia and having just watched that traumatic experience you had in Ibis - I say hugs, JM. Mas okay na rin to find out the smoke alarm worked in the hotel. That’s actually comforting. I hope you’ve gotten over this bad experience. Please come to Melbourne on your next Aussie trip!
The perks of travelling. You get to meet new random people and learn a lot of the places you're visiting. Part of travelling core memories.
Nakakatakot talaga pag mag isa outside the country pag ganyang mga moments. I remember, nasa Jakarta ako alone, nasa 41st flr yung airbnb ko and lumindol ng 7.4. All im thinking was how to get to safety. As a traveller, best if we keep these valuables by the bedside, esp your phone and passport + med kit and jacket at all times. Baka better if you pack an emergency bug out bag and keep it close to you lagi. Stay safe JM. Hope to see you soon!
Awww. Yes with this experience, i learned na dapat always naka ready ang mga essentials by the bedside. Para whatever happens, naka ready lang silan🥹
Hi JM! Love your vlogs. Guys minsan maski anong research natin, mishaps happen during travel. That's how we learn. And congrats to you if you've been living in Australia for a long time, but remember you were once a newcomer in that country too. Once upon a time, hindi nio din po alam ang mga pasikot sikot sa Sydney. Please be considerate in your comments. Most people come here because we find JM's vlogs entertaining. While you're entitled to your own opinion, please just choose kindness. Kung wala naman tayong sasabihin na maganda, can't we just let it go and move on? Pwede din naman po yun diba?
Otherwise, so happy you got to Australia JM! ❤😊
ingat kuya JM ..stay safe..warm and dry....🙋 buy from grocery( woolworths etc) instead conbinis pra mas makatipid ka..and if there is a kmart or H &M nearby buy beanie for your head and snood (scarf) for your neck bka mapasukan k ng lamig magkasipon ka...stay hydrated
I’m so happy to see you vlog and enjoy Australia, JM. I don’t usually comment, nood nood lang but I was waiting for this ever since pinost mo sa IG na nasa SYD ka.
wag mo nalang imind yung ibang tao na nacriticise every move mo when travelling nakakalimutan yata nila tourist ka, dayo ka and you’re exploring. Ganyan naman lahat pag bagong dating in an unfamiliar place.
Hope you enjoyed SYD! Come to Melbourne soon as well please ❤
Aww thank you 🥹🤗 Yes! Melbourne soon!
I also noticed that when I went to Sydney - people got off work early and enjoyed their time outdoors, socializing, working out, going to the beach.
We’ll be in Sydney next week and this will be my guide. Thank you JM!
JM, always bring a small and lightweight umbrella whenever you travel 😊
that fire alarm is so sensitive. atleast i know its working and not just a display. when you're going in any establishment like malls supermarket etc. better know the fire exits. even in cinemas we advice the people that its better to seat near the exit because its dark in cinemas and people will panic and run to exits that will cause accidents. just sharing as a safety officer 😊
Weather is unexpected it change from time to time so be ready always bring umbrella and thick jackets take care!
Omg Jim You shouldn’t buy at the Sydney Convenience Store. World Square is only 2blocks down to your right. They have adaptor at the dollar shop for $5 and Cole’s Supermarket Timtam is only $3 water $1.50. That convenient Store is highway robbery! You poor thing
Nasanay sa Japan mate..7/11 or any convenience store sa japan mas mura opposite here in oz 3x ang presyo
JM to Dylan: “You know masarap? Ikaw” charot hahahahahahaha 🍦😂
Same observation.
Ang taas ng cost of living sa Australia specifically in Sydney #2 in the world
The ice cream server was so nice ☺️ your conversataion with him warms my heart ❤
Sydney’s tap water is totally drinkable! I went there last year (for work) and nanibago din ako kasi sa tap kumukuha ng drinking water… but their water is really good!!! Also, best transport system to use in Sydney is actually yung trains/buses/trams nila. Sydney’s also pretty walkable! Namimiss ko mag muni-muni habang naglalakad around CBD. Naalala ko naglakad ako from Hyde Park to the Opera House - mga 15-20 minutes lang naman!
For those who will travel everywhere, first on your must have is universal adapter.
From NZ here. Planning to visit Sydney by myself so laking tulong nitong mga vids mo JM
Next time the fire alarm goes off, please drop everything and go. Don’t be a casualty!
Hello everyone happy watching
Thanks for the informative vlogs JM! Waiting for these Au vlogs!
Timtams sold at any inconvenience store is doubled the prie. Coles and Woolworths are two grocery giants all over Australia, where you can buy anything you need for a reasonable price. Water for 7 bucks is way too expensive.
Okay lang yan JM. Life is not a bed of roses. Importante you do not intend to cause harm to others. Keep on vlogging, if I can lang, I would haha. Marami ako napupulot na helpful tips sa vlogs mo so thank you! 😊
Thank you 🤍🤍

Firealarms are quite sensitive. This happened to our building a few times. One of the tenants was smoking in the stairwell which triggered the fire alarm.
Enjoy your stay here in Sydney.
Hi Kuya JM! Love your Sydney vlog so much❤, its part of travelling where ever you go. If you love the vibe of Sydney, you will feel like you are in London too! Australia is under the Queen of England! So you will feel the English British environment. We love your Sydney vlog Kuya!! show us more about Sydney!!❤ 🎉❤
Tim tam can be $4, water $2. Mahal talaga sa convenient store. Enjoy your Sydney trip! 😊
Try to buy sa Coles or Woolworths mga supermarkets yon mahal sa convenience store
My gosh!! That’s insane! Lakas maka-panic attack ng fire alarm, something you don’t want to happen esp you are in a foreign land. So from now on always bring the important things sa on the go bag before sleeping, and make sure where is the fire exit of the hotel or plan b just in case a something like this happens. Getting prepared sa mga ganitong incident is a must. Thanks God it’s a false alarm.
True.
Been watching you since and I love watching your travel vlogs sobrang informative.😊
Bili ka na ng detachable adaptor sa ACE hardware na good for all countries na kaysa bibili ka per country. Nasa 250 pesos lang non bili ko.

Daan ka ng mga local supermarket like woolworths and coles kasi mas mura mga bilihin kesa convenience store. Rip off ang benta nila dun. ❤
I agree; his travel vlog reactions are honest and spontaneous; not OA.
I hope you were able to try fish and chips ❤
The taxi driver over charged you for the trip from Darling Harbour to your hotel. It's only a short distance and should have not cost that much.
Ingat po kayo.. Yehey new tour!!❤❤❤Nakakawala po kayo ng pagod
The convenience store was a rip off
You can get a liter of bottled water for 90cents from wiolsworth/coles
Timtams are just 4 or if on sale 2… but yeah, thats the closest from your hotel hence the price…
Next time you should go to darling square which is a few mins walk from betty burgers :)
Stay Safe and Enjoy Sir JM...We Love you🥰❤️

Hi from Sydney here. Convince store is pretty expensive. Coles, woollies or dollar shops are cheaper to buy adapter , Tim tam etc and also hotels should have adapter each rooms as a standard but if you are at Ibis not sure why it wasn’t provided 😢
enjoy the experienced jm!!!! I'm glad your innovating sa mga trips mu more kudos and subscribers pa sayu I am happy for u!!!! ❤❤❤ ingatz sa mga trips mu pa !!! tyvm for sharing this!!!
Why would you go to a Conveneicne store when you could just go to supermarket? Of course you would get ripped off. You can often get Tim Tams on specials at supermarket for about $3-4.
you should buy a universal travel adaptor. it works in any country.

Be extra cautious when you include people’s faces in your vlog. It’s diferrent here in Aus…. Australian are private people. They might sue you if you include them in your vlog without their permission. Cheers! Enjoy sydney.
The law does not generally prevent the filming of someone in a public space without their consent. Australia doesn’t have a Bill of Rights that enshrines the right to privacy. If someone does not want to be filmed, they can put their hand over their face or cover it by some other means so they can’t be identified (which you have probably seen everyone from celebs to defendants do on TV). But they can’t demand your memory card, or to have the images or footage deleted.
This is for you ,
Under Australian law, you are generally entitled to film in a public space without anyone's consent.
Decency, empathy and respect to people who might not want to be captured in videos, WITH or WITHOUT laws.
Just because it’s not in the “law” doesn’t mean we are entitled to disrespect privacy. Filming in public spaces where we can see people’s faces generally do not need to blur faces as long as we are not recording certain people. However, it is also polite if we ask permission first on close-up shots focusing on an individual especially if we are earning/monetizing the videos we posts.
Japanese, for instance, most of them tend to be uncomfortable with cameras but some can’t confront the vlogger or they are just too “polite” that they will just keep it to themselves.
@@deatheatersdnm2904 the original comment mentioned suing. I replied that there is no law that will allow them to do that. I agree that vlogger shouldn’t put random people the subject of their vlogs without consent.
