That's the unique point of this food. That's why some Indonesian recommended it to this channel. There is always Indonesian that recommends kerak telor to foreigner if they're in Jakarta. About taste, well.. Some people like it but some are not. Because it filled with fried salty coconut. Lot of it. In the batter and as topping. Some people don't like it. For me, I think it is not delicious but also not bad too. It is mediocre.
it's ragam dasar betawi dance music also known as kang aji. you can find it on youtube. this seller is probably located in setu babakan, a betawi cultural "village" where they have betawi dance lessons and gambang kromong music and betawi food like kerak telor here. make sure to visit!

I think it's important to preserve kerak telor. Someone needs to open a restaurant or something. It's super hard to find these outside tourism areas like kota tua and monas :(

Dulu sering di undang bapak ini, kalau acara rumah sakit sibroh atau di rumah dr.sibroh nya, selalu nitip bungkusin buat gua bawa balik, sehat teruss ya beh 😃

We sat on a ground in front of a big banner showing footbal match, between a lot of people and that kerak telor was the first time i eat that. And that was really tasty till now i can't never forgot that experiences. It was either 2008-2010

This bring so much memories! I used to practice a traditional dance at Taman Mini, unwillingly sadly because my mom force it to me, so she used to bribe me with these, she always bought me this if I came to practice HAHAHAHAHAHAH
I remember eating these in Jakarta (Back in mid 2019, from Semarang to Jakarta because my family and myself meeting with another relative) The texture is kinda weird, the taste is eggy and savory I recommend to eat it if you are big fan of eggs, its really good!

All the ingredients look so nice. Especially the rice n egg. The rice is shiny n i think they look beautiful. When the uncle cracked the egg (with one hand!), the egg fall nicely n i like the consistency. It looks fresh!

All the ingredients look so nice. Especially the rice n egg. The rice is shiny n i think they look beautiful. When the uncle cracked the egg (with one hand!), the egg fall nicely n i like the consistency. It looks fresh!
I already been to Kampung Betawi because of school field trip and I still remember the Kerak telor cooker face.. and that's HIM..
