- Little 10 day old Grey-Headed Flying-Fox orphan, Frangelica has a feed, a play and flappies with Maggie. We love it when they do flappie-clappies...
She's young, but she's very engaged and engaging. After this feed, we moved Miss Frangie to Seamorn for interim care.
Frangelica was found on her dead, electrocuted mother under powerlines by a council worker who was disposing of the body and noticed her wriggling on her mum.
Tolga Bat Hospital takes donations for me. Tolga is an awesome place in Far North Queensland, which has charity status. By sending donations to them, they get a percentage (and deserve every cent) and they can allocate money to me for batty expenses without it becoming part of my income stream (which makes tax time difficult).

Mention Megabattie or Meg in the PayPal message box and the money will find its way to me.
If no message box appears, please email Jenny to tell her that the money is for me.
IMPORTANT: If you pay through the PayPal Giving Fund, can you please email Jenny with the AMOUNT DONATED and the name under which you have donated, OR just forward along the PP receipt.
The Giving Fund doesn’t charge any fees (so the bats get more money) but PP doesn’t itemise out the amount, they just send a total every month, and we don’t know if the money is for Tolga or for Megabattie.
Here’s Jenny’s email.

She’s so beautiful. Thank you for helping us see the amazing personalities of these stunning creatures.
Frangelica is a very smart baby. Head bobs, flappies, downing her bottle, chattering, pooing everyplace, all in one sitting. What more could you want from a baby bat. I guess you're with Seamorn now. Have a terrific, regular pooing life.
Frangelica the gymnast is utterly adorable. Those little noises when she us feeding. What a star. Thank you both for this gorgeous video.
It is a joy to watch when you have a little rescue/guest that can get past the fear and outrage. Thank you Maggie and Meg!
Amen! I agree! God bless you and your loved ones!
11 day old little poppet, flapping away. At that age she probably cant even imagine what those giant appendages are for!
If I was a carer over there, I would never get anything done. I would just sit around all day playing with the babies 😂❤
I am always so amazed they would want to leave their 5 star hotel, but they do. So precious to watch them eat!9
She's just adorable with her blonde streak and fuzzy hair.
Who couldn't love that beautiful little face?
The comedy duo of Meg and Maggie!🤣😇❤️🖤🦇🖤❤️
You two are just as delightfull and entertaining as the little furry companions that you care for.
My dead heart exploded from cuteness overload!🥰
Frangelica is a so bautiful baby !!!!
I love how she hides her eyes when you pay her attention. A form of peekaboo.
She's still very young and new in care; she's not entirely sure what her new role in life is
Oh mein Gott, was für ein wunderschönes Baby. Ich liebe Frangie ♥️😍🦇
Megabattie and mag you two are the best!!!! ❤❤😂😂
Of course we are...
I just love the ears and when they wiggle them I fall in love again. She is so lovely.
I love your chatter with Maggie!
My love to you both-and the wee babe!
God bless you both, and your loved ones abundantly always dearly beloveds!
Such a cute little face!
I gotta drop in every once in a while to see the latest bats. Good work indeed.
Enjoy.
Love to have your visits.
wonderful duo and those flappie whappies by Frangelica are just addorable
Stunning beauty, and always enjoy the banter & educ ❤
Oooh, so happy, flappy and squeaky 🥰
Such a lovely battie!!!
Beautiful little girl!! 💕
Amazing little creature. 🥰
It shows God’s creativity.
Beautiful Frangelica🦇💝
I adore you two. Love the bats. Frangelica is awesome. I never knew about bats before I saw you channel, so glad I can see these beautiful creatures.
Lol you too crack me up 😅 why in earth does Elmo have a butt crack?
Exactly; WHY. It was a definite buttock cleft
What a precious little baby!!❤🥰
She is a glorious little scrap of a bat, and quite a busy body too. Frangelica is utterly charming, and Seamorn is going to enjoy her time with this one. You shouldn’t have too much trouble with the rectal repair Meg, after all, you did a successful bumectomy on Llamai loved this interlude.🖤🇨🇦
Frangelica is a happy girl, she does flappies and looks everything around her. Are the creatures in your lap a present for you??
Frangelica is so adorable!🩶🦇🤗💕💕 I absolutely love the clappy flappies and her trill sound melts my heart!❣️It's always good to see & hear Maggie🤩 & Meg!😍💕
So dang cute. I love these little bats.
She's a cutie pie with energy. ❤ I love baby bats. 🦇❤️
What a beauty.
What a gorgeous girl❤
Frangelica is so adorably funny!! 😄🥰❤️🦇🇨🇦
Her calisthenics are adorable! She makes me think of Piccalilli with all that personality! Best wishes beautiful Frangelica! 💕🦇 Maggie! “All that and a bag of chips!” I’m shocked that we in Canada would have the same expression as Aussies. As I recall, we used it in the 80’s. 😅
I heard "all that and a bag of chips" in America in the 2000's and still use it for humor, it's a cute expression in 2024.😂🦇💕
Gorgeous!
Total overload of cuteness ❤🇨🇦🦇🍁
So sweet.❤❤
It's so much fun watching the little ones climb around.
Awww, she's gorgeous! Perfect little creature.
Love the comedy bit 😀
Hey folks...I was able to get 5 more batlights in. I have 7 now in stock and 12 people watching them so please get yours if you want to support Meg and Tolga Bat Hospital. All funds above cost are donated . We've raised over $500 AUD so far this year! 😇❤️🖤🦇🖤❤️
Well done PK.
Send me a link again and I'll do a post on the community page
Heilà fantastic Megabattie 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have never seen a bat do such excited flapping before, that was lovely
These great big wings take a bit of managing by these little babies. Frangelica is so adorable. Hope she’s doing well back in the wild. ❤️💕
I have just discovered your channel. I have NEVER seen anything so adorable and cute as these flying foxes 🥰 The care you give them is phenomenal. Kudos to y’all for all that you do for these precious little babies 💕
Your videos of the babies brings me JOY thank you 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖🦇🦇
Awww how cute she is! ❤️🦇🦇🦇🦇
Awwww what a beautiful baby. ❤
She’s given you her best poo and you want flappy clappies as well. Ok I’ll oblige mum ❤ Oh those gorgeous little squeaks when she sucks. She’s too adorable. I might have to live in Australia 🥰 thanks a million for all you do amazing ladies xxxxxx 🤗
Adorable!!!❤❤❤
adorable 🦇🍀
So Adorable ❤ ❤ ❤
Oooh 'The Meg & Maggie Show' is back for a new season - thrills, spills and laughs galore - and I'm here for it! Best show on the box!
So awesome to watch this cute baby! ❤❤❤❤
Little bundles of gorgeousness - the bat’s OK too!❤
Frangelica made me want to take her home. She’s just about the cutest baby bat I’ve seen. 💙
I wonder how she escaped being damaged when her mum was electrocuted.
You two together (Meg & Maggie) make me laugh.
Why do Elmo’s bulgy parts need to be skinnier? Is he too fat for the babies to cling onto? Who _rectifies_ these giant butt problems?
The babies like floppier, softer plushies. And they fit into the incubator better. I do the surgery on them.
I like the plushies to be limp and soft, not stuffed hard and firm.
@@Megabattie , The inner teen in me is giggling. There’s so much innuendo in that paragraph. 🤣 I really needed the laughs. Thank you. 💙
I aim to entertain @@SuziQ.
Meg and Maggie you guys ROCK!!! ❤
I love flappy wings!!! Bats are such wonderful animals and baby bats are so stinking cute!
Come for the batrito, stay for the cuteness overload
Just the most delightful beautiful wonder of nature. We are so very lucky to have them and so very lucky to have you!
Lovely relaxing time will spent.🦇❣️
I use to be afraid of bats, thanks to your channel I have fallen in love with them!
Hey thanks Angelina
It's always good to know that people change their mind after seeing some of my videos.
Meg
oh darling
Re-watching the beautiful baby Bat Frangelica🩶🦇🤗💕💕 with her adorable sounds & clappy flappies. Meg😍 & Maggie🤩 your banter is hilarious!!😂 You're both wonderful ladies!💕💕
Grover is actually Elmo. It brought back memories of when my girl was small and Tickle me Elmo was all the rage and they were so scarce, stupid people were paying thousands for one! Luckily resourceful grandma stayed in line for four hours on Black Friday to get her one. She’d never had gotten one if it were up to me, that is for sure! lol Fran I’d gorgeous, by the way!
LOL, I was pre Muppet days and never had human offspring. I missed out on the Muppet education
Such a gift to be able to care for them.
Indeed
This one is so cute it’s almost overwhelming.
I think they are all beautiful but this one is something those legs scrambling to get just the way she wanted, adorable and that face!
All the babies are a bit like this.
How my heart melts watching Miss Frangelica. Her little flappies and head bops are the cutest. She has the prettiest face too. I watch & listen to her all day! ❤❤❤
What a beauty I’m in loveeeeeeeeee ❤❤❤❤❤ I love, love!
This made my day 😃😃Yes she’s gorgeous and I love the back-and-forth between Meg and Maggie.
Frangelica is just too cute
Frangelica is off the charts adorable. I'm saving this video. ❤❤❤
❤ Again..I'm so grateful to find your channel ❣️ I never knew how beautiful bats were! TY so much for what you do! ❤
HI Sharon
Welcome to Megabattie,
I put lots of information in the descriptions under the videos - so if you have questions, look for the answers there first. I also put the fate of the animal if I know it, at the time I put the video up. I may put updates there later if I find out what happened to the animal after it has left my care.
There is also a Happy Outcomes playlist if you want to only watch videos where the bat survives; this is a real life channel and you get the good, the bad, the ugly and distressing, and even my oopsies.
You can find further videos on an individual bat by searching in the YT search bar for Megabattie/and the name of the bat you want to follow.
There is a community tab (like a mini Facebook page) on my channel - if you go to Megabattie home page, there is a menu bar across the top under the cover pic. Home, Videos, Playlists, Community, About. If you click on the community tab there are posts there where I can share pix and talk about some of the videos I put up and answer questions.
I love your green wall! We have a similar color in our kitchen ( we used it as an accent color) the rest of the paint is the softest yellow color.
I used to have a buttercup yellow stairwell wall but I decided I needed it to be fluorescent lime
@@Megabattie its a good choice, it fits you perfectly.
What a little sweetheart!
She says, Mom, how can I chatter away with the pacifier in my mouth??? How can I tell you how happy I am!! 😁🥰❣️❣️❣️
wow she's just beautiful
That surely is a cute li'l baby ♥
I love the little noises.
Beautiful baby. The red stuffed toy with but cheeks is Elmo from the kids show Sesame Street on public tv in the states. Grover is blue and I think lives in a garbage can.ha
Oscar lives in the garbage can and is a kind of a dirty green color. You are correct that Grover is blue, and Meg was pinching Elmo’s bum 😂!
Elmo's bum had cleft butt cheeks; seriously?
Precious little fuzzy😊
💕
Such a cutie 😊🦇
SO adorable!
Sweet baby❤
These two women in the video remind me of the two elderly ladies in the movie Coraline
We're not that old, but we're ourselves, which is a result of a life lived and experienced.
@@Megabattie what I mean is that you and the other women remind me of them because in my opinion sometimes y’all can make funny remarks like they did ♥️
We have no filters or boundaries so we just say what pops into our heads, which means you get the benefit of our lack of filters and our life experience.
I didn't become myself or love myself until I was in my 60s; then I stopped trying to please everyone else and change to fit in with other people's expectations, and simply accepted myself for who I am.
If people don't like me, it's their issue, not mine. @@lexisoneal8933
Elmo not Grover lol😂
Right?!?! Grover is blue!
Clearly I missed out on the Muppets phase from both my childhood and my lack of tiny human offspring.
Wow she is so cute.
I have watched a lot of your video's and now my partner is always asking me if there is a new batty video we can watch. I think I have converted him to liking bats. 🙂
The little red stuffy at the end of the video is Elmo.
There's always a new video to watch; there are over 4300 videos up on the channel now.
@Megabattie Wow, that is a lot of videos.
I have some surgery coming up, so that will really help pass the time.
I'm looking forward to them.
@@BadgerDevil Hope the surgery goes well
@@Megabattie Thank you for your kind words.
I did forget to comment how very sorry I am about Frangelica's Mumbat not surviving. Thank goodness that council worker spotted movement on poor deceased Mumbat, found under those power lines!🦇😓💔
If they get used to you holding them, would they go near people once you let them back in the wild?
I’ve learned a lot by reading dear Meg’s description box…the babies need the closeness and interaction as wee babe’s but as they start to grow and explorer their surroundings, they need to go into an aviary, and there, they learn to interact with other bats! They are NOT pets, and are raised to be released…no, they don’t get overly attached to people-that is the last thing that any bat would need!
In a word, “no.”
God bless you, Annrae, and your loved ones!
They hold them when very young for feeding etc. Once they get older they go to groups of bats of a similar age to learn how to be a bat and prepare for a future in the wild.
Hi Annrae
We mimic what happens in the wild; the babies are very dependent on their mums for the first 3 months, until they start flying. Mum has baby on her for the first month 24/7. Mum bats are very tactile with their babies and very loving.
We give our babies a lot of attention, a lot of eye contact; we play with them, talk to them, love them, groom them and encourage them to stretch and flap and interact.
When the hand raised babies are 3 months old, they go into a creche, where they join other orphans and form a group. At this stage they'd be separating from this batty mums and be becoming more independent in the colony. In creche, at this age, they learn batty etiquette and how to live in a batty society. They shrug off their human mums and want to be with the other batties. When they are emotionally and physically ready, and uninjured, and around 4-5 months old, they’re put into a release cage under a colony and they can integrate into the colony and fly out with the wild bats. If they can’t find enough food, they can always come back to the cage for a feed. Support feeding is put up on the outside of the cage for as long as they are coming back and eating it. When the colony flies out for winter, they have fully integrated and fly out with them.
It's remarkably successful.
If we don't do our job right, the babies are total emotional basket cases and don't integrate or deal well with creche. They have to be removed, regressed back into baby dependency, then let them grow up again and become independent, being rewarded for their incremental increases in independence and confidence.
When they're ready, they get put back into creche and do well.
If your pup doesn't make release and can't be released, it will be euthanased, which is a pretty good incentive for you to do your job right.
@@Megabattiethank you for the explanation. You and the other carers are angels on Earth. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
She is so cute… could you send the link or post it again on how you make those dummies thanks so much Meg I think our squirrels are baby squirrels I mean could really benefit from dummies as well
Squirrels need squirrel mum's tit shaped dummies.
Just search in the YT search bar for Megabattie/making teats and dummies for wildlife.
Elmo needs unstuffing, he has a hard head??!!!😂
Yes, Meg does brain debulking and liposuction on all teddies who don't meet batty and megabattie standards.
🤣cookie is blue loves, that is Elmo😉👍🏻
OOPS - I relied on Maggie who said this is Grover
Upside down & wrapped in her little wings be a good one for a game of peek-a-boo. So are they released when they recooperate?
Is Elmo an anatomically correct muppet? 😆
He doesn't have any boy bits but he did have cleft buttocks
is she squeaky ? Judges assign an automatic 4090 additional points. Frangelica for her first regional WIN !
She's a squeaker; I love squeakers
