This is nostalgic for me for 2 reasons. 1 i have a fox 5.0 drive train in my 93 ranger and i love that thing. Never got to own a fox yet though. And 2 today i just drove my 74 charger around the block for the first time in 6 years! Been working on that for the last 2 weeks. I hadn't started since before my dad died 3 years ago
Looks like that's not your First Rodeo Chris. I figured with that Great Wheel Collection you have, you just have a Buddy who comes over & Does all your wrenchin'. LOL In All Seriousness & having to Play around with all that Camera Work-- One OF The Best How To Videos I've Seen in a While. Great work as Always showing Us What Can Be found & repaired with a little Persistence. THANK YOU
I like this early access content! After seeing it run, I almost want to see the car restored in some fashion now. Its not ready to give up the fight yet. Though there are some good parts that could use a new home...
It was like a 2 for 1 special tonight with the videos lol Well done getting her going and you didn't disappoint with the burnout! I was waiting for it lol
One way To open the hatch or trunk, you go to the button in glove box un plug wires then get a battery put a wire on hot and ground on door hinge you can take the power wire to the plug for wire going back to switch touch to hot wire and pop its open . That's if your wires in engine have all been unhooked or cut .
A double feature, nice job getting it to run and drive, cam sounds awesome, nice finish with the burnout, motor seems to run good, the deal just got really good.
Brother great job You're such a beast when it comes to these foxes I've got one I wish i could get you to fix for me I've been setting for 10 years too i just haven't had the time
After you checked the lights I just kept saying shut the damn lights off your killing the battery LOL. Recently discovered your videos been watching every chance I get.
Chris, thank you for posting this! Everything actually.. but this is so helpful! I have a pretty clean hatch that sat for 8 years outside in Ont. And then 10 years inside.. I got her home now and going to get her running again. Question Inwas hoping you could answer.. if the fuel pump still fires/primes when ignition is turned.. should I still drop the tank etc? I parked it almost empty. Thanks again for taking the time to post ! Also for the record.. I would 100% pay a Patron fee or Memeber fee, if it means We could ask questions once a week or something for couple hours.
Ya man hit the Join button and happy to help on Live sessions! As for the tank, chances are if parked almost empty it may be rusted and non operable. With that said you can unhook the line at the rail,.and see if it works and pump through fuel until it's clean and fresh before hooking it back up.
Just ran across this channel today. Got the Ford bug in high school which led to 6 fox bodies and a 70 fastback then eventually went back to my Chevy roots. Still have a couple of Ford trucks and a 79 Fairlane so it has the fox body chassis thankfully. Your mentioned a 7 quart oil pan, tell me you didn’t put 7 quarts of oil in it!!!! If you did go ahead and drain 2 quarts back out, the extra depth of the oil pan and the extended sump aren’t for more volume of oil. The added volume/depth is to get the oil away from the rotating assembly so as to reduce windage. At 5,000 and above with a regular pan you’ll only see about a quart or 3/4 of a quart in the pan. The rest of your factory spec volume of oil is draining back or getting whipped around by the crank and rods aerating oil and creating drag against the rotating assembly. HotRod magazine has a video on RUclips in the engine masters series that goes fairly in depth on the subject. I’m sure you know the channel with David Freiburber and Steve Dulcich. Anyway, great work bringin another one back from its long nap. 👍
Thanks for checking out the channel. Interesting about the pan.. I filled it until the dipstick read full. Which that stick is meant to be with that pan (same as another motor setup I have). If it were to only take 5qts the dipstick wouldn't register anything. Plus I drained out 7qts if not 8... Send me the info you're referring to
I can’t get RUclips to work for me this morning but I found the episode on Motor Trend. Don’t Do This. How To Ruin Your Engines Horsepower | Engine Masters | Motor Trend. December 13,2020 Episode 32 The video isn’t exactly the same as it was originally on RUclips as Hotrod was purchased by Motor Trend since it was originally uploaded. It begins with testing 3 different fan types on a small block but rolls into the episode I was talking about right around 9 minutes in. They also show the oil pressure drop around 5,000 rpm and go on to explain how it doesn’t affect the solid roller cam as it would a hydraulic cam killing valve lift with the lifter bleed off along with other findings. Hope this is helpful for you, just wish it would’ve shared on here and saved some time.
As a tree trimming fox owner I can say with confidence that the saw wrench in the back of the hatch says a monkey beaver man 🐒+🦫+🧔♂️=🌲👷♂️was the prior owner of shitbox fox lmao!!!
Now that it's alive I'd throw some seafoam into the vacuum line off the brake booster and let her soak for a hour or two and then fire her up and blow her out...my Southern Belle sat in the back of a cemented and well finished pole barn kinda like your shop and I went through everything even though it ran and drove home...I'm very picky...even if someone said it was done I do it anyway for piece of mind and my 89 GT runs 100 times better than it did since I picked it up!
sea foam is for boats ...they do nothing for a car just make you feel better when you see the smoke you think its doing someting its not .. yes i hear it works great ect but do the research and videos on it before and after nothing changes exempt your pocket has less money in it and the corporation has another fooled customer...
You did more in 2 hours, than 98% of these other Foxbody “influencers” have in their lifetimes.
Good job. Video had me hooked till the end.
😂 thank you sir
I thought the same!!! Just thinking about how to approach the fuel tank I’d be 2 hrs in 😂😂 great job!!!!
Hell yeah you can't beat that with a stick great video..
Poor Fox.😢 That's probably the most love that car has seen in 20+ years. Sounds good to.
I say this a lot…”There’s nothing like the sound of a Foxbody.”
Literally
Agreed
I'm gonna say a B cam. They've always sounded really good to me! Awesome video, as usual!
nice I'll be fixing up mine as well. Mine runs and drives but I'm working on the floorboards now.

I’m gonna guess B cam. This looks like it’s gonna be a neat little project
I thought if a fuel injected car sat for more than 2 weeks they were a write off 🤣 These cars never cease to amaze me. Carb life 🤘
Amazing how you got that car running! 🦊

I don't know Chris..A ratrod fox build would be pretty sweet!
After you checked the lights I just kept saying shut the damn lights off your killing the battery LOL. Recently discovered your videos been watching every chance I get.
Choppy Chop Chop !! Cobra intake check. 5 lug spindles check. Handful of other goodies check.
Damn that thing sounds good
I'm gonna say the cam is a fomoco e303, sounds a little too choppy to be a b303, but that could also be a lazy iac
Awesome job what u think bcam ?
My fuel pump is on all the time as well and I can't find where it's jumped/bypassed. Even with the relay unplugged it stays on.
Hell yeah bro Totally awesome. 🥳
It's most likely the almighty b cam with all the Ford motorsports stuff on it

Dang!!!😊 that was a great find !! Awesome sounding cam. Great video. I was surprised that it idled
You and me both lol
Something about a mustang and how it sounds just gets my blood pumping. I love that body style.
What do you mean by curve vs not curve on the front end for the spindles?
Nicely done Chris!
very cool! Be careful with those EOM Bullitts... :-)
I was waiting for this! Awesome.
Thanks Chris. Where or how do I join your Patron? I don’t see a link in your you tube home page/link page.

Damn I’m impressed. Great job.
Old school build old school cam maybe b52?
Please take that Cobra emblem off ASAP! I'm hoping you'll pop it off during this video. 😂
Reminds me of 2v owners always putting cobra emblems on a GT
Always thought it was weird
LMAO.. I'm always amazed at how much this bothers people. So if you had to choose... 1 piece headlights or cobra badges which one would it be?
@@TheInfamousProject I'm gonna have to say I'd pick Cobra badges over one piece headlights.
I'd rather it have the emblems over the 1 piece headlights lol At least it had a cobra intake.
@@TheInfamousProject Gonna go with the emblems, only because I’ll just paint over the emblems and hope the average Joe doesn’t notice them.
Throw on one of your nice sets of wheels and take it to at least one show before you part it. One last hurrah for the old girl 🤟🏽
Dude, I have no excuse why I can’t get my car running and driving myself. Thanks for sharing this 🤘🏼
Awesome find, great deal,
B cam? Are you gonna save this? Definitely worth your $1000 bucks. Your content is the best man
I love this build! Is there a way to sort the videos chronologically?
