- Introducing an app that I found useful to learn Thai! The app is also available in other languages but I've only used it to learn Thai.
Ling App: ling-app.com/
Besides Thai, I also learn Korean (fluent), Japanese (JLPT N2) and a bit of Russian. I blog about self-studying languages at www.hangukdrama.com. Follow me on Instagram at 2eightytwo.
Disclaimer: Ling App also reached out to me on their app, but that was after I've paid for the 1-year subscription on my own. All views / opinions about the app in the video are my own.
Happy learning!
Your handwriting is so very good.
I'm left-handed too but I hold a pen very different to you
I'm also left-handed and indeed she holds the pen strangely
First of all, at the beginning of your introduction.....I thought you were Thai. Great review, as I'm considering Ling for beginning Thai. I'm sold, so thank you!
I’m from Singapore too! I used to use Ling but it is too expensive (still studying), but I’ve been watching free videos from RUclips to learn. If you’re interested we could connect to learn from one another ❤
Great video! Very helpful 😀🇯🇵🌸
The Learn Thai from a White Guy course is great to learn the Thai alphabet. I’m about half way through and it’s going great so far.
I don’t know it 100% yet but I don’t think I’d need the romanisation turned on. I think it’s the right time to learn some words and sentences. I’m heading to Bangkok at the end of November.
Do you have plans to travel there?
Thank you for this demonstration!
I wish that the romanization would show the tones over the word like / for rising or \ lowering tone. For some words, it's difficult to hear what tone they are saying.
Does this app require you to do the reading/writing or can you just focus on speaking?
I'm gonna use the Ling-App to learn Polish and maybe Filipino and Thai.
Enjoy!!
@@seoulareyou Thanks 🙂
Wow! Thank's you're interested in our language! I am a filipino.
I cannot figure out where to turn it from female to male version
Learn to speak first and then bother about the grammar much later.
You can expand your vocabulary by listening to music, movies, and by speaking to others who can speak..
My account didn't show the tips hot to fix?
ขอบคุณนะคะ ☑️
ขอบคุณนะค่ะ ❎
คุณเขียนผิดอยู่นะคะ สู้ๆค่ะ ✌️
Is it worth using this app? I want to learn different languages.
I'm also trying the app and i love it but i can't help myself but to open the romanisation😔
That's why it's not good~~~
I suggest you learn the Thai Alphabet first~
I love this app. I paid for the lifetime ownership (I think it was just over $100).
Can you speak thai good cuz it says you can become upper intermediete at thai and I have a hard time belivimg that
@@plopp.1279 No, you can't really learn Thai the right way with this app (and the other ones on the internet)... I would say it's only for those who want to speak Thai and only that....
If you want to learn Thai (speaking, reading, writing & listening (of course grammar too)), then I suggest you learn with Banana Thai RUclips Channel!
An amazing teacher that actually made me understand the Thai Writing System and taught me so many great stuff (Culture, notion of the people in Thailand etc)... She also has a website where you can buy the Full Course either for some months or the Lifetime one... She also provides you with her own textbook and she can also do videocall lessons... However, I haven't paid for the course...YET!
I am just watching her videos on RUclips! If you want to give it a try, sure you can! 😉... I am certain that you will not be disappointed... And yes, my conlusion is that a language like Thai, which is not that overrated like Korean etc., cannot be taught by these noob apps that only teach the listening and speaking part...and WRONG too, as they make you get used to transliteration.... Also, the resources are few on the Internet, unfortunately... The Thai language needs to be taught to you by a great teacher...as we know that many RUclipsrs here, who claim to know how to teach the language, are not even teachers... That teacher from Banana Thai seems to know what she's doing as she has a lot of experience...and to note that she can be understood since her English is pretty good for a Thai person... You DEFINITELY need to check out her videos! 💖😁
Cuteeeew
It is too rigid and "fixed" as you are memorising sentences. In my personal journey, I can tell you it is not helpful and should not be the the strategy.
Expand your vocab, learn words first, then learn the sentence structure.
If you learn "preconstructed" sentences, it is not helpful I'm telling you..
any resources you'd recommend?
